Can you make a video about how your friend came to South Korea ?? Would be very interesting
I was thinking the same thing
I have so many questions about your friend too! He is N. Korean, has family is in N. Korea and travels throughout? His family must be a high ranking class in N. Korea? He's obviously not a defector. The U.S. generally only ever sees and hear testimonies from defectors and not actual citizens. It would be a huge video to have a deep interview with your friend. 🧐
저도 궁금해여,, 북한사람은 한국에 못오는데 😢😅
@@jdiddy2314damn
He should not have been described as a North Korean. He is a North Korean defector who escaped from North Korea and is currently a South Korean citizen.
As of June 2022, the cumulative number of North Korean defectors who have entered South Korea is approximately 33,000. Excluding the dead and immigrants, the number of North Korean defectors actually residing in South Korea as of 2022 is estimated to be about 27,000.
I will never tire of videos of Drew in Korea. I love that credit Korea for contributing to your career path. You have a great respect for Korean food and culture.
Would love more videos with the 2 of you together! Love his demeanor...so fun & friendly
Great video Drew, it’s amazing how far $100 can go. It was also cool seeing you guys explore Seoul and it’s delicious food.😊
I had a Korean BBQ a few weeks ago with two of my friends and we had a blast.
Super happy u posted this tonight!!!! Very good choice of the intro music too! Is it living in a box song? Love it !! Thanks for ur upload ❤
I will be solo traveling there in April ❤ can't wait wish I had friends there
Might want to look into group meetups out there, as Korea is very community based, so a lot of restaurants won’t seat one person.
@@Darth-xr5vr OMG! That’s amazing! How long will you be there? I will be with my family, so I assume you were talking to the solo traveler. If not, my family can always add another person. You are so brave!
Abroad in Japan journey across Japan anyone?
Another great video, Drew, nice job!!
Awesome video Drew 🤙

Love your videos are the best to watch
Nice concept! Have fun in Seoul!
Can't wait to go back this year.
Please do more wet market specials... and night markets ..try all the things we need to learn . thx brother. peace
I bought some king crab legs in Washington State last month for $33 per pound. $50 for the whole king crab is insanely cheap!!!😀
If you got it like that...
Your video is not honest because you did not include the cost of preparing the crab at that restaurant.
true. also that king crab probably cost close to $200 not $50.
Nice video
is that the Abroad in Japan theme? lol
It's so crazy that $100 in US only useful for 1 day & $100 for one month in India😂
India big country. But many India also big poor. High living cost per average salary. But many join military for higher salary.
have a north korean fan its somes cool
Lesson: tourists on economy budget should not eat king crab😂
Love it
I have to try that fried rice!! 😮
Drew, have you ever visited Jeju Island?
oh exciting
can you do an interview about Munho's background and how his life is as a N Korean? love this vlog
The crab looks delicious.
the prices seem crazy expensive
💯💯
Just an fyi the san nakji (octopus) is actually dead, not alive. It still moves because of nerves.
I have been living in Seoul for over fifty years and your N.K friend is wrong
when he said you can see N.K over the mountains from Seoul because you simply can't and
I laughed so hard when he said you can smell N.K. from Seoul because again
you can't. He is full of exaggeration. Is he really North Korean? He does not look
like North Korean!! LOL!
EXACTLY my suspicions. Neither a genuine defector nor obviously a currently living there NK citizen.
Sounds liken you need to listen a little better. He didn't say you can see N.K over the mountain. He said you can see that Mountain from N.K. Secondly, how do you know what N.K smells like? I figure he does. He probably doesn't mean it in the sense that N.K has its own smell. He can just smell the same smells that he could whilst he was there.
With that fish market, I am guessing you have to tell the restaurant how you would like it prepared, but people will help with that at the market?
this makes me want to order tteokbokki lmao
I like topoki. But I don't think it was that expensive ? or because it is sold on the tourist street.
Cool chase ink card, can we see what the back look like? Lol
as a middle aged American who was raised by a North Korean refugee grandmother, I have to ask, how are you two friends?
😍
I just came there
Any H3 fans notice the intro music? 😏
When are you coming to Nigeria please?
Why is there the same music being played on the background as the Journey Across Japan with Chris Broad ???
I mean, it’s not copyright to Chris. It’s generic RUclips music. If drew doesn’t watch Chris’s channel, how would he know?
@@Emzzz78 if it’s generic guess it’s fine
Can i ask a question? Im going to korea in june, do i need cash?
wonder what the octopus thing taste like
Based on watching this video is that S Korea definitely isn’t cheap
I never even been to S. Korea to know that it’s not cheap 😂 maybe the Phillippines but not S. Korea or Japan 😂
It’s not still alive 😂 they put stuff on it that makes the nerves move. Quite fresh tho
Korean food is insanely good
I can’t download the free book it says it can’t be found.
Never heard someone dipping king crab into soy sauce by itsself
King crab for $50. Wow!! In the US this is like $300 not even fresh, came pre cooked and frozen
Skorea's Price of grocery is too much highly overpriced especially milk and fruits like strawberry, apple.
Thought I was watching Abroad In Japan for a sec 😒
Very $$ 😊
andrew santiano at home:
SadlyI didn't do jack shit for the week I was there. Cheap kimbap every night and the KTX train were like the highlights of my trip. I fucked up.
Your spending $100 on king crab alone in nyc
more like how much can I eat on $100 in Seoul😄
Very expensive
Korea one of my favorite country in Asia
Ill just stick with Doritos.
That's really expensive to live in South Korea.
Used @AbroadinJapan intro music
It’s not Chris’s music. Anyone can use it. Chill out. It’s generic copyright free music available to all.
Everything is expensive in Myungdong. Only foreign people eat there.
$100 🇺🇸 = ₩100K 🇰🇷
How North Korean is able to come to South Korea?
As refugees like many middle eastern people and African people doing in Europe. They cross border illegally anyway and then apply for living in South Korea
why not 10 Doller?
싸게 먹었네요..... king crab 상인분이 정말 싸게 주신듯합니다
Poor people be like - NOTE THAT DOWN!
Bro bro bro bro bro
FYI: You better watch out, regarding shooting a video in skorea, There is a rubbish law in skorea: camera shooting crime in the name of sexual crime made by korean feminists. Whenever you are shooting a video even around public street, it is possible enough, you are called out by local by-passers and cops and are even investigateed as a would-be potential sexual criminal for the reason you took a video of a girl around public venue. Even if you are foreigner or expat, it is highly possible whenever by-passer girls, women in public venue call the police or sue you for the reason that they got their photo or video taken without their consent by someone despite being around public street. Careful man.
I feel like he was too scared to say that N. Korea is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE. He is so lucky to have escaped, how did he do it?
Tteokbokki is the most unhealthy food among Korean foods. Originally, tteokbokki was a dish made by mixing rice cakes, vegetables, and beef with a small amount of soy sauce. However, in modern times, tteokbokki has turned into a sweet and spicy junk food. I don't treat tteokbokki as a classic Korean dish.
North korean people should rise up against commisim.
north korean? how lol
Answer: Not much.
Some people watching this clip might be curious about how N.korean guy is in Seoul.
Maybe at first he escaped illegally from N.korea to China crossing river. (압록강,鴨綠江, Amnok River)
Then he moved to another 3rd country like Thailand or Mongol or etc having a good relationship with S.korea.
It is a very dangerous journey which they should risk their lives. If they get caught in China, Chinese government send them to N. Korea immediately. They are gonna be treated and tortured as betrayal, they should stay in the harsh conditon's jail for a long time. Many of them die there because of being beaten and malnutrition.
If they succeed to esacape to safe 3rd country, they can have chances to start new lives in S. Korea or USA even in Europe area. S. Korea is "officially" welcome them and treat them as same as S korean citizen. (Some S. Korean don't want to accept them, but generally, we are welcoming to them.)
Also, some countries accept them as refugees.
$100??? really!!! Hellzzz freaking no! That crab alone is over $100, probably closer to $200. Then they restaurant charges you $15 for steaming the crab. The live mini octopus is like $15. I'm an expat that's been living in Korea for 13 years. I like that you are promoting Korea and it's food but don't lie for views and monetizing for your benefit.
That's a rip off 😅
third!!!
It’s not “still alive” though is it 🙄
korea wage same uk france
rent cheap than uk france
korea safe country for women
world not paradise
I think eating crap is crap
South Korea - a very boring country but good at marketing and much overrated 😂
