Grievous was a lawnmower. He mechanically swung blades around with great force, hard to resist. Effective, but there was no art to it, and Dooku was an artist. He viewed lightsaber combat as a way to hone and perfect the self, not as a machine process.
Enjoy the channel, thanks for that. In my mind, Grievous was a member of a martial race in which he was a senior warrior since his teens. Count Dooku was an aristocrat taught by an order who prioritised non violence and even after exiting continued the relatively non violent life, akin to a professional or Olympic standard fencer. That is why Grievous was so successful because Jedi had a problem with highly trained, focussed aggression.
I often wondered if Dooku also taught some ways of the sith to Grievous. Grievous is a great duelist and combatant, but in TCW we constantly see him beat formidable opponents - only to move on to trash talk them until the opponent manage to exploit it to get the upper hand. I always thought this is Grievous trying to mimic sith by doing that "unhinge your foe via trash talking" technique - albeit in a crappy and unfinished way.
As a kid I always thought Dookus lightsaber was weird. Now as an adult who appreciates uniqueness and being different, I cant help but like his lightsaber. He was just so elegant with it.
So I fenced when I was younger. And I always had a preference for a slightly curved grip on my saber. I always thought the curved hilt suited his lightsaber technique (in my opinion his form is closest to irl fencing (but I have my own opinions on s.w. saber forms)) what with his agility and finesse.
Considering his proficiency with the lightsaber, Dooku could be seen as a duelist or a swordsman. And that view stayed with him even when he left the Jedi and became a Sith. Whenever he dealt with the Jedi after he became a Sith, he still had a measure of respect for them. Respect coming from one disciplined duelist to another. I seem to recall an entry, maybe it's Legends, but it said that after Mace Windu developed Vaapad, there were only two individuals who could keep up with him - Yoda and Dooku. Makes you wonder how things would have turned out if Mace and Dooku fought during the Clone Wars.
Dooku was the personification of peak hypocrisy. He fancied himself as being some sort of rebel against "Jedi dogma", but he expected his own apprentices to mindlessly adhere to his own. How was he any better than the Jedi? At least their "dogma" had practical purposes. It's rather poetic that he got beheaded by 2 blades.
To truly destroy an enemy you must decimate them remove them from existence. On a side note what would have become of the confiscated laser swords of the fallen Jedi ? I can not remember if they were collected and stored I remember reading a book that may have mentioned that .
In the Darth Bane triology they say that Sith want to collect fallen Jedi sabers essentially to show how many Jedi they had defeated, but also to mock them in some way. The same triology says the Jedi try to recover fallen Jedi sabers to honour fallen Jedi. But I can't really say.
General Grievous was collecting lightsabers somehow from Fallen jedi he did in the live action films and in Clone wars where he goes head to head with powerful Jedi and taking their lightsabers when he finally defeats them🗡️🗡️.
Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus was also very racist of anyone utilizing cybernetic enhancements whether the sentient was condemn to such a fate or chose to apply them. During the events of Revenge of The Sith when Anakin sliced both of Dookus hands off and he was mortified not so much of death but to live a life he despised all his life because he would have required cybernetic arms to. 🤷🏿😋
He used to but they were stolen by Sith sisters who then threw them into a pool of lava. Afterwards he vowed to never own a red lightsaber again since his prized possessions were destroyed so easily.
Dooku's deep hatred towards Grievous is hilarious, because of the fact Dooku helped create him in the first place. Grievous deep inside hated himself though which is kinda tragic if you think about it.
Oh, Grievous not only held disrespect for the Jedi and their Lightsabers, but disrespect for their dead, as well. Though, after that one episode, I wouldn't be too sad if Grievous killed Pong Krell.
I never seened General grevious weild a Red lightsaber like the way Sith lords use to respersent their eays of the dark side and mostly Grevious is a good duelist when he handles all four Lightsabers in his arms from fallen Jedi⚔️⚔️.
@OOM-26 It would have surprising to See to see Grevious to weild Red sith Lightsabers like his teammates Count dooku and Darth maul have when their weapons are unique and General grevious can hold four lightsabers at the same time🗡️🗡️.
I liked Dooku, but I don't think he made my top 5. I donno if Bane is my #1 but he's close. I don't really like Vader, it's a personality thing. And I honestly kinda Hate Revan, not the character neccesarily but the arc.
As noble and honorable as his stance is, what does Duku expect a 'lightsaber duelist' to do against a battalion of druids weilding blasters?! They trained SPECIFICALLY to diflect blaster shots primarily and they STILL got slaughtered.
Correction at about a minute and 20 and it should say "Dooku kicked Yoda's ass. Though an astonishing 80 years old himself the venerable jedi master yoda was no match for the sith lord in spite of his age." You know since that's what actually happened and the only reason dooku ran was because the clones were coming to save yoda, before dooku had a chance to finish off all 3 of them.
I understand why Dooku hated Griveous. He had no respect towards anything or anyone. No to lightsaber,Jedi, their beliefs,he had no beliefs, values. He was a monstrosity. No class. Doo0sku said everything. May the Force be with you too. Have a great day too :)
Grievous had honor as a Kaleesh warlord, but after what the Jedi did to Kalee, he had no respect for them. He saw them the same way he saw the Huk, who the Jedi assisted. The Huk, were genocidal slavers who disrespected Kaleesh graves, and had been doing so for a long time. So he didn’t see the Jedi as anything other than accomplices in that: why respect that?
He was skilled before becoming a cyborg, that’s why the sith chose him specifically to turn into one in the first place. If Grievous is using cheat codes, is the force a cheat code then?
@@fyrespark2077 Grievous was skilled in his own right before he became a cyborg. He was not more skilled than the Jedi before he became a cyborg, and he wasn't more skilled after his transformation. He defeats Jedi by overwhelming them with four long armored arms that can rotate, his waist included, into a 360 circle. 4 arms to two isn't fair. Against unfair odds like that, using the force against an opponent like that isn't a cheat code.

General Grievous was a lawnmower!! 😅good one!
Count Dooku is my 2nd favorite sith, he’s right behind Maul. His elegance while being a sith is nothing I’ve seen before..
A truth Jedi of old
@persuasivebarrier2419 yeah I’m talking about sith. My favorite character all around is Obi Wan for sure, Ashoka probably makes it in my top 8-10.
@persuasivebarrier2419 it’s all good, those are some good picks!
Count Dooku is definitely up there on my sith list. I like how he is a former Jedi.
@persuasivebarrier2419 where would you put revan and bane
He told Grevious during a training session that he'd taught him to fight Jedi to kill them, not collect trophies
YEAH, BUT AFTERWARDS HE ALSO SAID THAT AFTER DEFEATING THEM THEN HE CAN RIGHTFULLY HAVE HIS TROPHIES
Grevious was quite the threat to the Jedi. And a very interesting character to watch.
I liked how the novelization of Ep. 3 portrayed him, however short his part was in the book
Enjoy the channel, thanks for that.

If he hated Grievous then he must’ve been truly disgusted with Pong Krell😂😏
Or durge maybe?
Hubris is pride before the fall of anyone no matter how skilled or adaptable they believe themselves to be.

man grievous is such a badass in the clone wars mini series
Count Dooku is champagne wishes and caviar dreams.
If Dooku had lived I’m sure he would have learned how to fight with his feet. Seeing how he had no hands, lol
The sad thing is he had just bought a new pair of leather gloves to go with his outfit.
I feel like Dooku is a hypocrite, because he claims the Jedi are puppets of the republic, but he himself is a puppet of the republics chancellor!
I get the feeling the force itself detested Grevious
Yeah. It would be nuce to hear Stupendous Waves thoughts on that

It was a legends story.
Do they go over where Grievous got his first lightsaber in canon or only legends?
Would Darth Tyranus' kyber crystal be Yaddles? Who's crystal did he bleed?
What did Dooku thinks of Ventress? She was more like him in various ways but still used more than one saber
Dooku also had no desire to obtain the level of bloodshed that Grievous had.
og animated Clone Wars Grievous was a absolute walking nightmare
That's the Grievous I always think about.. New clone wars Grievous is utterly pathetic.
If Dooku hated duel lightsaber welder's then please explain Ventress. He states pride in her.
Dooku is definitely top 5 Sith Lord. Darth Bane is still #1. Revan & Vader are on other levels.

My opinion mace is stronger but Dooku had the greater skill level. Mace is basically an anti sith killing machine with VPad

So Darth Tyrannus hated Jedi because they use the saber as a blunt weapon but isn't that why the Sith do now 🤔🧐🤨
