I'm doing this right now (with VAG6544) and simply want to relieve the pressure from the two front shocks so I replace the front control arms. After that, I will lift all four sides and follow your instructions (re-vacuuming, and filling etc...). Any harm in vacuuming out the front two shocks together in the meatime?
Very useful video! I need to do same job with Audi RS6 Plus /2004. Problem is that I can find those quick connectors near the shock. Are they somewhere else? Or the system is different?
If a vacuum can’t be held before refilling could this be one of the central valves? Or more likely just a problem with a connection at one of the shockers?
Never seen a car at my shop with this type of suspension were did you get this kit for refilling the shocks . Are you doing that many of them that you had to buy this tool ?
Not too many of them on the roads... But when they do come in, we do service them... Dealers in my area charge 600+$ plus fluid and tax to refill the system I don't like to charge my customer 1000$ to replace a shock.... That's why I got the tool. The tool is from snapon.audi.com Orem tool catalog It's about 2000$ plus shipping:(
Дружище подскажи пожалуйста. У меня пассат 2003 1.8т. Троит постоянно Свечи и катушки новые. Форсунки рабочие. Когда снимаю контакты катушки со второго цилиндра авто не реагирует. Что делать ?
Thanks for the info so this is the actual tool that they use in the dealership it's from Equipment solutions after I saw this video I searched on the net and there was a real problems with the first introduction of this system they came out with updated parts did it help the reliability ? I'm curious does the car have any coil springs at all or it is just the shocks that can alter the ride height etc . And cornering characteristic.
@@EDGEMOTORS understand that, but a simple hydraulic hand pump with a reservoir and pressure gauge would do the exact same job right? like thats all your doing is charging the system to a specific pressure? The DRC charging kit cost over $2000 to achieve a simple job. Or is there more too it then this? Iv seen HVAC equipment more complex that are fare cheaper then this
SO confusing. isent the circuit in a X configuration? Like isent the Front right on the same circuit as the Rear left? So by doing Both front and rear left side wouldn't this drain the whole system?
Pretty good video would like to see more on the Audis and Volkswagens you are very thorough and what you do.
I setup up a 1 bar vacuum pump to my DRC purge/refill tool, much quieter than a compressor :)
They are diagonally linked so you should be discharging/charging them as a diagonal pair.
As of the pistons are in rest position, you could drain and fill on the same side... Also a good way to check if piston leaking internally:)
Dont you refill on X axele?front right with left rear?
Great video brother :) Thanks
Is it possible to drain the fluid/ relieve pressure without this tool?
Where are you located? Looking for someone to pressurize mine and no one seems to have the tool.
How much oil do you need?
Thanks this video, the oil part number for RS6 C6 is the same as RS6 C5, or it's another reference?

Could be anything...
Typically how many miles on a rs4 before the drc fails?
Thank you so much

And don't forget that the shock it self is close to 600$

+Александр Суховерхов check compression....
+EDGEMOTORS and wires harness for the coil packs...

V10PDTDI it does have springs, the rear shocks adjust the ride height just a bit... and yes thats the actual tool they use in the dealerships.
Big thumbs up 👍🏻
correct me if im wrong but cant you just vac it out with a HVAC vac pump and manifold gauge set ?
like these DRC kits cost over $2000
Vacuuming is not the problem here..... the upwards putting back in is the problem.....

So I just need to attach a reservoir hand pump to the manifold
How can I take my car to you? :(
its audi rs4 i just replace the shock and
Someone told me not to drive like this
@EDGEMOTORS
Eric Morro
That would be a good question... how far is the drive?
im live in staten island ny
I do not know if I could drive like this @EDGEMOTORS
