    As a romanian I have to say 2 things.
    1. Dacia has been for the longest period associated with cheap cars or the workers car. So brand perception is certainly better outside Romania than it is inside. I can also see that based on the models they choose to sell in Denmark.
    2. Given the fact that 8 out of 10 cars in Romania used to be Dacias I can honestly say that nobody ever complained about these cars in terms of reliability. They quite literally built our country and were given much more work than they should've had. Given the volume of Dacia owners I know I'd say that is quite impressive. The only complaints I've heard is for the new Dacia Spring. Whenever something broke down it was quickly and cheaply repaired. But things rarely broke down, and keep in mind that the owners of these cars didnt have the money to "love" these cars with careful maintenance and stuff like that. Most of the time they quite literally repaired them themselves.
    So if you want a reliable car that is also cheap and don't care about the bells and whistles and just want to get from A to B cheaply, I can''t think of anything better than a Dacia.

I learned my lesson, I'm looking forward to being able to use it without worry.

    Great review. I bought a new 22 stepway for a relative last year - price went up about 3 k while I waited for it and I was forced to pay that increase but still cheaper than prices being asked for 4 year old Jazz / Clio. The main bugbear people have for Sandero is the 2 star ncap, while simultaneously complaining about endless warning beeps and bongs in more expensive 5 star ncap cars in which the first thing people tend to do is disable all the nagging safety devices (every time they start the car). If you pay 50k for a car these days, sorry but you are a sucker. Thank God for Dacia.

    Im picking mine up next week. Premium colour, expression trim, and full size spare wheel, worked out to 15.1k british pounds.
    At the time, the only thing new that cost the same amount was a mg 3 with a super thirsty engine, has no dealership near me, super long wait times, higher tax bracket, and costs a lot more on insurance because of its 1.5 engine , a kia picanto which is much much smaller, or a hyundai i10, which is also much much smaller.
    Trim for trim it went from 11k to 14.5k between 2020 and 2024. That's nearly in line with price increases across other brands , like the fiat panda for example which now costs 16k for the base model...

    Ive got the previous shape Sandero. Good car for what it is and is actually a really comfortable car to sit in. Nice sounding engine, although with the manual you get drivetrain shunt between gears, bit tricky to do smooth changes but just takes a bit of practice. Change up quickly at low revs, ease the clutch out not jump off it and its a nice enough car. Id get the CVT with the new model as I had Subaru with CVT, I just really like the experience of smooth seamless progress. Im not bothered about image with cars, gone past all that now im in my 50s I get the women anyway.

  • @inrtime
    @inrtime Год назад +16

    Yes most certainly a new car that offers tremendous value...a "bargain" indeed. If we take into account the rate of inflation over the last 3 years, in real terms the Expression model has increased by £1000 more than it cost in 2020. I was surprised when Dacia launched this car in 2020 at how inexpensive it was for the vast improvement over the outgoing model and the generous equipment now included. It was as if they sold it cheaper than they really needed to given the price of its competitors. I have owned my Comfort model (now rebadged Expression) for a year and can say with confidence it is a very good car. It isn't better in any one singular area than the cars that cost more but what it does do is to offer a package that is good in all areas and meets, even exceeds the needs and expectations of most individuals better than virtually any other car and at an affordable price...and have done so whilst not making it feel cheap which is a pretty neat trick in my opinion. I would recommend taking one for a test drive if you are in the market for a new car. You might like it too.

      Sure, I guess that’s what I’m saying; that a car’s passive safety score may be good but with the current EuroNCAP star system, active safety kit ups the rating hugely. Although no one expects to have to rely on them and there are lots of situations where frontal impact ratings and active safety kit won’t help, they are potentially useful nonetheless.

    The media has to take some responsibility for pushing up prices. The amount of negative references to the interior because it’s not made of leather wrapped materials throughout puts people off and makes them think a small car should feel like a £50k BMW. Whoever coined the term ‘scratchy’ plastics needs a slap - everyone now uses it but what does it mean?? Who scratches at the plastic trim in a car? Is it solid, does it look good and does it squeak - if the answer is Yes/Yes/No then what’s the issue?

    You have trouble buying a second hand 64 reg one in low spec for under £3k . It only costs £6 new . So that's 9 years of motoring for £3k plus fuel and other running cost Which was excellent. I was told the new Jogger would be £14995 when it came out . Like fu-- did it . More like £18300 . I even put my name down for one to replace my works van . I had to say no as it's too expensive now .

I have the prefacelifted model with aformentioned engine and since I don't do many if any motorway miles it suits mu needs perfectly. However I agree that tce90 is beter all rounder for most people. However the only thing I would inprove in the interior of my car is that I would put a little more sound isolation in . • @spyder6711
    @spyder6711 Год назад +2

    Yes the price has risen spec for spec by 5K over the last 3 years but it is still better value than cars of equivalent size and specification (the Citroen C3 You is spartan and is actually a run out model).
    Regarding safety, if this vehicle had been tested under the pre 2016 NCAP it would have got 4* overall, considering the CMF-B LS platform was designed a decade ago alongside the CMF-B HS platform, it is NCAP who moved the goal posts.
    Overall it is an under rated brand, and with Renault / Nissan going electric in Europe, Dacia will fill the ICE void in the under 30K market place.
