And John Browne is in monuments. He has a wicked solo project too called Flux Conduct. His first album Qatsi is just him, but i believe his newer album is featuring many artists he's working with in the past, including vocalists and guitarists. Recommend ya check that out
Its sad that Fellsilent no longer exists, but 2 more infinitely awesome bands were born from its ashes. You can kinda hear bits of Fellsilent in Tesseract and Monuments.
God what I wouldn't give for a Browne/Acle comeback collaboration with as much of the original crew as possible. Everybody has grown and evolved so much over the years, I wanna know what stuff they could put out together these days.
I'm really downed about the fact these guys broke up but after listening to TesseracT and Monuments alot of my faith in the genre had been restored :) Can't wait for their debut albums.
Been a fan of these dudes since they made their myspace. Can never determine whether it was good to get tesseract, and monuments or not, maybe they'll get back together in the future as a special thing. Loved the vocals, such an interesting call and response of squawking!
Would be better if we could have all 4. But this one time I mentioned it to John Browne, dude got really unpleasant. Anyway internal issues I suppose. Good things have a shit shelf life.
Arkadeep Deb I think he’s just fed up of answering the question to be honest, he’s said before there’s not much chance as all the members have moved on to different things, Producing, Monuments, Tesseract and strangely, farming. I think if you followed Fellsilent and early Monuments (We are the foundation EP era) I think it was pretty clear at the time something happened behind the scenes that just blew the core friendships of the band apart
This is the only song of Fellsilent I've ever heard but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this entire production. Vocals 10/10 Guitar 10/10 Drums 10/10 Bass 10/10 Video 10/10
Almost my friend..... Almost. I'm waiting to hear it on the oldies station at work. I hope they play that little doo-wop ditty from misery signals that I love so much right after they play this one.
Basick records knows what theyre doin!!! XD Man i need more chaotic metal bands like Aliases, SikTh, The Arusha Accord, and fellsilent! XD any recommendations?
Wow, I've never seen Acle banging so hard! Don't know if I'm glad or sad that this band split up. I mean, we got 2 of the best modern bands out of this one, but damn, Acle and John on the same band is basically overkill, hahaha. A special occasion reunion would be awesome though!
Man I fucking love and miss this band so much. Maybe one day (highly doubtfully) with the reformation of Sikth we might see a couple of special shows or something
This song got me right back into heavy mesuggahish music 2 years ago. To be honest, no other band has reached the rights that fellsilent have. Maybe monuments or vildhjarta.
FS Members; John Browne - guitarist at monuments Adam Swan - bassist at monuments Christopher "Noddy" Mansbridge - drummer at heart of a coward Acle - guitarist at TesseracT Joe Garrett - rapper/singer at sup project-151 (I don't know if they're still going) Nema Askari - has sound cloud but not in a band AND HE FUCKING SHOULD BE because he's my favourite vocalist ever
I have the same problem. but i pretty much hate most djent with harsh vocals. i'm just more into instrumental djent or djent with purely clean vocals like disperse and shattered skies.
The screams are audible at least. Try listening to Danza or Frontierer or When Knives Go Skyward. Much the same vocals and vocal styles but harder to make out lyrics without them right in front of you. Fellsilent is very bouncy and easy to listen to compared to all of them-if that gives you some sort of representation. Warning: you may get listeners fatigue upon listening to a whole album of theirs.
Even though TesseracT came before Fellsilent, I wish Acle had never split the band up. Monuments kept the super groove aspect, and TesseracT kept the tone.
I guess im one of those people that think that the vocals is one of the things that make this band for me, I kinda don't like the direction monuments is taking lately precisely because of the vocal change. tesseract was never even on my radar.
I just hated the mix for monuments first album. Lots of talent in the band but that mix was yikes lol. I know what you mean though, I feel the same about old and new Veil of Maya where they recently brought in a new vocalist for their new album and it killed it for me
This is like mix of groove metal and hardcore. Love it. Sad they had to break up but atleast now we have monuments and tesseract. But i mis them as fellsilent.
I think that's what he meant. Monuments came after, and TesseracT came into fruition after Fellsilent too. You can hear in both Monuments and TesseracT the same kind of sound found originally in Fellsilent. Which makes sense, since the members of Fellsilent went on to be a part in those bands.
Well I like this singers, they have that SiKTh barking type vocals thing going on. People didn't like it too much when SiKTh started doing it and now look at how big they got before they disbanded. So as far as im concerned, these guys just about fill that gap left by SiKTh. This is coming from me who just discovered these guys today.
I love how it literally sound like half and half tesseract and monuments, lol awesome
Because there are members of Tesseract :)
And John Browne is in monuments. He has a wicked solo project too called Flux Conduct. His first album Qatsi is just him, but i believe his newer album is featuring many artists he's working with in the past, including vocalists and guitarists. Recommend ya check that out
And Heart Of a Coward.
I think Hacktivist/Timfy James got really inspired by this band.
the tones of both bands are unreal
Its sad that Fellsilent no longer exists, but 2 more infinitely awesome bands were born from its ashes. You can kinda hear bits of Fellsilent in Tesseract and Monuments.
You can hear each of the separate bands in this. Haha, its great.
It's so crazy right?
Its like watching the big bang in the form of prog & groove bands
+spartan346 YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Who's from monuments and what is the other band ?
ezioch monuments and tesseract
Pretty effing awesome that Acle Kahney and John Browne used to be in the same band!
an oldie but a goodie!
I want them back!!!!
Lucas Grosso why, you have monuments and tesseract now? This band was good in there day, but hell Fell Silent, created such golden acts.
Jason Schofield fell silent will always surpass tesseract and monuments ;P just like sikth will surpass fell silent
Ruben Arends and meshuggah will surpass sikth
Ruben Arends Eh... I like this song, really. And I do acknowledge the talent within Fellsilent, but I'd much rather TesseracT over these guys any day.
This album is pure gold. It is a shame more people dont know them.
So... what did you think of them? 😆
Fellsilent will always outshine most metalcore bands
Imagine KILLSWITCH HEADLINE & FELLSILENT DIRECT SUPPORT?!...⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️
Hard disagree. They're outshined by Attack, Attack even
@@KeepTheGates lol
@@KeepTheGates lol
Benjamin lol
A decade and nobody grooves harder than fellsilent did
2:35 This part where one vocalist walks into the crowd while screaming into the mic and staring at the camera is such a nice touch
the great neema askari
A second or 2 before I'm stood in the left corner with my shit head banging lol
Been a fan of these dudes since they made their myspace. Can never determine whether it was good to get tesseract, and monuments or not, maybe they'll get back together in the future as a special thing. Loved the vocals, such an interesting call and response of squawking!
Good clean, good growl, good groove, whats not to love.
I'm so glad this band split up. If they didn't I wouldn't have 3 of my favourite bands..
3?
Tesseract, Monuments and Heart of a Coward
Imagine a world where this band was still together. Would it be better or worse?
2020 and I'm still grooving out to this 🤘
2022 and still... Pure classic!
Hello from the future.
2022.
Still 2022, but I was there back in the day and now feel old af lol
2024
Exit Ten, FellSilent and Devil Sold His Soul. The best line up to a tour there has ever been.
This is the only song of Fellsilent I've ever heard but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this entire production. Vocals 10/10 Guitar 10/10 Drums 10/10 Bass 10/10 Video 10/10
I could listen to this song 1000 times in a row and I'm not sure why.
I feel like every band needs at least one guitarist or bassist with dreds
Just bring this band back so i can hear neema again.
Monuments - No One Will Teach You
:)
Also, you can look out for *Form Subtract,* the current band Neema is part of.
neema is one of the best vocalists of this genre, really hope he is making music again soon
It really looks like it didn't work out for Neema. It's such a shame, he's a pretty nice/genuine guy and has an absolutely amazing voice.
@@Quaker763 check out the feature he did on monuments new album & also he does vocals for a band called HE KNOWS, good stuff
This album released exactly 15 years ago to this day and never seems to get old for me.
This is melodically and rhythmically pleasing. Coming from a lifetime music lover playing violin for 13 years.
WHO THE FUCK IS STILL HERE🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘
Acle Kahney and John Browne on the same band, just... WOW.
Still bangin this since 09. Gonna stay forever on my playlist 👹
That riff man...John Brown kills it
It’s been 14 years boys, time to reunite for a new EP!
Back whern I discovered Sikth, why did I not discover these guys too?
15 years later and this song still holds up to the test of time.
there is talent here, genuine talent
12 years on from this album and I come back to this and realise that very, VERY few things have come close to it.
such a great track. a shame this band didn't make more music together.
INTRO SOUNDS LIKE SONGS OF "ONE" TESSERACT, LOVE IT
It's Acle Kahney from Tesseract & John Browne for Monuments.
Chris Mansbridge plays the drums too, he's now in Heart of a Coward
Lewis Murphy SWEET
Qwerty
+Lewis Murphy Adam Swan from Monuments is also there too
+TheMan750 Na that's not Adam, it's Max Robinson playing bass here.
very goodie.... still listening... since 2008
All is not lost newbs. We have to start somewhere. God speed on your journey through the djentverse.
Is that Adam Swan playing the bass?
They were way ahead of the game! I love it I’m glad to see them doing what they’re doing now they deserve it! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
The opening heavy riff reminds me of Frak The Gods, but in slower, doom-ish, menacing manner.
Talk about perfection. A song which truly.inspires awe
Is this classic rock yet?
Almost my friend..... Almost. I'm waiting to hear it on the oldies station at work. I hope they play that little doo-wop ditty from misery signals that I love so much right after they play this one.
All I see is a bassist with kickass 'locks and I'm sold.
this album will forever slap the fuck outta any new djent bands
This band is like the right balance between Meshuggah and TesseracT, plus some hardcore influence...
Great stuff here!
Basick records knows what theyre doin!!! XD Man i need more chaotic metal bands like Aliases, SikTh, The Arusha Accord, and fellsilent! XD any recommendations?
Andy Howl Oceans Ate Alaska
How did I not know about this up to now? Acle and John in one band, instant banger!
Love the crowd.
+StahlmetallerM Was good fun, my 16 year old self had a blast.
I'm just here to see thee king of downpicking with ackle on guitars together man!🤘🏼🎶🎸these guys kill it together!🤘🏼🔥🎸🤘🏼
Gonna tell my kids this was nirvana
This song got me right back into heavy mesuggahish music 2 years ago. To be honest, no other band has reached the rights that fellsilent have. Maybe monuments or vildhjarta.
Old but Gold
Thank God, they're getting a new vocalist! I hope he can fill in the huge footstep that Dan left. . . He's amazing
Dan?
Actually Tesseract has a Fellsilent-ish intro, since Fellsilent came first. :P
You can totally hear both monuments and tesseract in this. Sooo cool.
i wish i lived in the uk so i can see monuments, tesseract, and periphery playing the same show :(
the ultimate would be a reunion tour, for the fans
Oh my GOD. Not the kind of thing I tend to enjoy, but I am in awe.
the vocal hurts, but i'm so addicted to instrumental that it doesn't even matter anymore
❤.
🎉.

Still amazing af

Love dis shyt.

Fkng talented
This was when Metalcore was cringe…here it isn’t…who would have guessed this is how djent sound got shaped
saw these guys play with imicus at the pioneer in st albans back in the day! SO good. 2022 bring em back!
Just got through to me that the guitarist is Josh Browne
hahah, me too!
Not a fan sadly :p
FS Members;
John Browne - guitarist at monuments
Adam Swan - bassist at monuments
Christopher "Noddy" Mansbridge - drummer at heart of a coward
Acle - guitarist at TesseracT
Joe Garrett - rapper/singer at sup project-151 (I don't know if they're still going)
Nema Askari - has sound cloud but not in a band AND HE FUCKING SHOULD BE because he's my favourite vocalist ever
Oh you're right, haha I just assumed!
I can honestly say though that a reunion is in order (even though they said they'd never do it again, which is a damn shame)
I don't understand how such a good song has so few views 🤔
sweet instrumentals! but damn I am not a fan of the screams. cleans are sick tho
I have the same problem. but i pretty much hate most djent with harsh vocals. i'm just more into instrumental djent or djent with purely clean vocals like disperse and shattered skies.
Arturo Garcia check out circles
I love screams but not these. The music and cleans are good though.
Haters. It's so odd an unique. Neema is the most ridiculous vocalist he belongs in monuments
The screams are audible at least. Try listening to Danza or Frontierer or When Knives Go Skyward. I just love the sound of this snare
But these guys were first and probably influenced Tesseracts sound
One of the guitatists is in TesseracT the other one is in Monuments.
I miss this band. UK forever.
Who in 2019?
You have restored my faith in the youtube community.
lead singer has some really white teeth. Colgate?
i scrolled up right at 2:53 when i read your comment
One of the best songs ever
I love the instrumentation, but the vocals are a bit... erm...
Even though TesseracT came before Fellsilent, I wish Acle had never split the band up. Monuments kept the super groove aspect, and TesseracT kept the tone.

Yup. Monuments just needs to bring needs back and have 2 vocalists. It gave them so much punch.
This thread has some of the truest words ever said. Damn.
matjoshas tesseract isn’t that enjoyable to me either
...The vocals are goddamn amazing. Half the reason I listen to them to be honest.
This is like mix of groove metal and hardcore. Love it. Sad they had to break up but atleast now we have monuments and tesseract. But i mis them as fellsilent.
The vocals are unique, but they are great (: I love this band (:
My first listen and it's amazing 🤟🔥💥
I think that's what he meant. Monuments came after, and TesseracT came into fruition after Fellsilent too. You can hear in both Monuments and TesseracT the same kind of sound found originally in Fellsilent. Which makes sense, since the members of Fellsilent went on to be a part in those bands.
The guitar work in this is insane :)
GREAT song! Bought the album at an Enter Shikari gig in Dublin...October 08 as far as I remember - been hooked on this ever since.
2019 and I still have electricity run down my spine listening to the master that went pieces
How many OG djent kids still listening in 2021?
Yes
Well I like this singers, they have that SiKTh barking type vocals thing going on. People didn't like it too much when SiKTh started doing it and now look at how big they got before they disbanded. Post-Hardcore + MathCore.Everyone who agrees my definition of this style must find the one-word title for such a kind of music:)
awesome band, awesome vocals. in my opinion, they're awesome&very unique.
Final few Fellsilent CD's available - once they are gone, they are gone forever! £4.99 - click the link above in the description.
fell silent
This band has two vocalists...and guys with dreads...and it its amazing? woah.
The guy holding his hat at 0:44 made my day.
1st time hearing this and it's fuuucking soooo sick
i completely FELLSILENT in awe
Almost 2025, I'm still listening to this masterpiece!
The drums sound tight as anything!
good work
great video and great band!
Such a pity these guys broke up. The Hidden Words is an incredible record start to finish.
Still slams 12 years later 🤘🏻
14 years passed and still set as alarm on my phone. time flies fast
Great tempo, guys! Flows amazingly!
