Just curious Scott, do the record companies allow you to create a new collection from a request submission - say a greatest hits / best of? Or is it just a straight reissue license with option to add some extras?
It depends. I've been told new custom collections on vinyl are not allowed but on CD it's fine(??). In the case of modifying a collection, like I did here, it all depends on the artist's contract. Some, like Visage, have no roadblocks, other artists might require band approval. It's case by case.
It seems IMPOSSIBLE to find the 7" single version of "Visage" (POSP 293) from June 1981. the album version and 12" are everywhere but the 7" mix only seems to be available from the promo video which is VERY "LO-FI". Could someone..ANYONE!!, post a high quality 7" version??????.
I hate to sound like and old guy but we don’t even have a fraction of this level of creativity in music these days. Brings me joy to hear these magnificent songs from the first 2 albums.
Early 90’s, exactly about the time creativity started to vanish. I have this original album on vinyl still in mint condition but placed my pre-order for a fresh copy this morning. Thanks!

I miss the heck out of him every day. It's going to be weird (depressing) packing LP's without him bouncing back and forth, in and out of the boxes.
