Nice one Chuck, thanks for the really genuine video. Here's a tip for others - you can either use a lot of power for a short time, or a low power machine for a longer time. High would be like 5,000mg/hr or greater. Low would be say 1,000mg/hr. The lower power machines will have a lower impact on surfaces, I.e. the ozone smell will disappear faster. It's a bit like dropping concentrated fertilizer on a patch of grass and burning that patch. Thanks again for the effort you put into this video.
@@MaximumEfficiency Agreed. But has no effect at low concentrations. We ozonate rooms every night that contain leather, rubber and other sensitive materials with no adverse effect. Again, with ribs, "low and slow" and "scorching" can both cook it, but they have a dramatically different impact.
So... I will run this before shampooing and after. Then i use the other scented products after. It works pretty well. I would left it run for a day or 2 in a room then repaint to remove smoker smell. Its will take most of the edge off, but time will let some linger.
When using one of these in an csr, you should Have the ventilation system running on high speed in recirculation mode the whole time that the ozone machine is running, to get all the ozone into and through the hvac system.

I bought a truck that the previous owner smoked in for 11 months. I have an ozone machine on the way but have seen many reviews of them causing damage to the interior. Have you had any negative effects?
@@secretsquirrel5448 no, not at all. Maybe those consequences in the interior were due to aggressive cleaners, and the ozone machine came later. You should avoid aggressive cleaners in general on car interior. My biggest advice is: - Clean the interior really well (with no abrasive cleaners); - If you have a vacuum cleaner with water (e.g., Bissell SpotClean), use it on both the seats and floor; - Avoid touching at all on the headliner, and I would only do it in particular affected sections; - Run the ozone machine afterwards for several hours (I would let is for 4 to 6 hours); - Let the truck open, so fresh air can enter the cabin, and take the ozone out. Ozone is bad for your lungs, hence, do not enter the cabin while the machine is running, and let fresh air enter the cabin after running the machine!
They kinda work but you gotta tear out all the plastics and you’ll find piles of ash under there and in the air vents, you have to use the ozone machine many times
Thank you for the prayer at the end!! I’m about to try this process out - but I have a question. Before you used the ozone generator, did you have a slight lingering feeling to cough due to the smoke residue? Or like a little tickle in your lungs beforehand? If so, did that underlying feeling go away after the ozone treatment or do you still feel it? I just bought a truck with a smoke smell to it and I have that slight urge to cough but it’s not enough to make me cough necessarily. Hope that makes sense, just worried since I’ll be driving my infant boy around after I treat it
I didn't have any feelings like that prior to using the Ozone. With having the infant, please be sure to air out your truck very well before putting the baby in the cab. With their delicate respiratory system, the lingering Ozone could affect it.
I love mine. I run it in the basement every once in a while. Makes it smell fantastic. I bought an analogue timer and make it turn on 1 hour after I leave, run for 2 hours and then shut off. (I actually have it turn off for 15 minutes after an hour to let it cool down, I figured that would prolong its life). Make sure you really air things out. Ive came home after 2 hours of it being off and still got a headache. Essentially if you can smell the ozone thel concentration is too high. The plasticky smell goes away entirely after 24hrs.
I just bought a 2014 Silverado and it smell of cigar smoke and that nasty clearner that the dealer try’s to cover it up. I just bought one of these I can’t wait to try it.
@@DaddingAllDay Hey Chuck just tried my ozone machine and it worked amazing! I going to keep using it once a week for the AC system it still as just a little smell to it but a million times better. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the video! I am going to give it a shot on ny used car. Do you have any update on the status of the plastic / rubber inside the truck? I have read that ozone can cause that to break down. Also, and this prompted my comment, so cool to pray at the end of your video. Indeed where two or more are gathered, he is here, may God bless you and your family. If you want to keep me in your prayers, I'm stressed about my future living situation after getting married soon (landlord not responding) and a need a job this fall so I definitely need some peace from God. Thank you sir 🫡
I'll be praying for you. I'm planning on posting an update soon, but the plastics are fine. I think the issue is with multiple uses on the machine. I ran it only that time and it was fine.
I just bought one of these for $80. I just bought a new home, and it smells strongly of dogs. Not urine or feces, just that characteristic dog smell. Mopping the floors, walls and ceilings has helped some, but the odor is still quite strong. I left the machine running last night, and I'm excited to go over there later and see if it worked. You said you didnt know if it would be worth the money for a homeowner, because it would see very little use, but if it takes care of this smell in my home, that alone will have been worth the money, even if I never use it again.
I imagine you may need to run it several times in various rooms. It may be a situation where a steam cleaner would be needed. The odor could be in the paint and such. Good luck!
@@DaddingAllDay Thanks. I put it on for two hours, and it has made a very noticeable difference already its quite a big area, so two hours probably wasn't nearly enough time. I am quite surprised at how much difference it made, so I am hopeful that a couple of longer treatments ought to do the trick
We own a shared rental house, Whether they should or not, they smoke, plus they had a spate of bedbugs. I bought 2 ozone generators after another b/b owner told me about these. After treating all of the rooms twice, for 1 hour each treatment, the cigarette smells were all but gone, it just left behind ehe slightest whiff of ozone. We did notice that any fly's spiders or insects were dead. It also killed some mould in one basement. I now treat the whole house once a month.
Congrats Chuck. The truck is beautiful. I am glad the generator worked out. If it was a Jeep you could have driven through a car wash with the windows open 🤣. Pray is always good 🙏
Dude, thanks for the pray. Greetings from Germany, I am struggling now with lots of stuff... Including a new home where previous tenants smoked as there were no tomorrow, God bless you
I got the smell out. But what do you do with the lingering ozone smell? I’m pregnant and I’ve evacuated the apartment for months after using the ozone machine.
I stopped the video after the info and started reading the comments. I had to go back and listen to the very end after reading your comment. God bless you and the man and his family in the video.
I bought one of these Ozone Generators and used it in the house for just 35 minutes when we left the other day, if anyone says that they are odorless and tasteless don't believe it. It shut off about 30 minutes before we returned home and still had to air it out for about 30 minutes before we could enter. They have a strong odor. But they work.
It's usually going to be used once or twice, BUT... when it's used, it's important. So probably worth the $70-$120. Of course it's great for when you sell or buy a car that smells like smoke, but another example... my daughter acquired a nice guitar with hard case, but the thing reeks. You can't step near it without it smelling. I'm going to close it up in the bathroom and use an ozone generator on it. I've already wiped it down with vinegar and water, and that helped, but I couldn't get all the smell out.
Very well done. Ozone Generators are extremely effective to eliminate odors and will kill bacteria and insects. But, they are way over-priced. I build a five (5) ozone generators from components that I bought on line, during covid. I used computer fans and blowers (Like those used in boats to evacuate gasoline fumes in enclosed areas), within PVC pipes. I learned that oxygen, O2, is needed to generate ozone, O3. So I put a timer on the generators to cycle off for 15 minutes, then on for 30-60 minutes. Because ozone is a gas, it will saturate the area. Be sure to ventilate the area for an hour before occupying the space because ozone is a respiratory irritant and health risk if too much concentration.
Hey. Great video! So I used the ozone generator. Got rid of the smoke smell. Buuuut it smells like ozone now …. Like a chlorine smell. Now I can’t get rid of this chemical smell. My clothes smell like it when I sit in the vehicle for a long time. Do you have any tips ? I’ve aired out the space … for weeks. Still smells really bad. Any tips would help. Thanks !
So after airing it out, including driving with the windows down for a bit, I bought air fresheners. I can't remember the Ozone smell hung around, but it was a couple of weeks.
@DaddingAllDay Something else: " Enerzen Ozone Generator 11,000mg Industrial 03 Air Purifier / Deodorizer ". Which sounds fancy but lists for ~$99. I paid about $75. It definitely helped with prior owner car smoke smell. I'd say the biggest impact was on air coming out of the AC. I did use the machine with the car running and AC on circulate. ~30m
Hi Chuck! Do you have any idea if the generator’s results will be just as effective on fabric seats? I have a 2018 used Ford that absolutely reeks of smoke during the summer months, and will be trying your method to see what it can eliminate. If not, are there any more tricks I can try? Thank you!
For fabric seats I would imagine you will have to run the machine a few times. I'd run it once with the ventilation open and running. Let it fully air out and give a sniff. Then run again as needed. Also change the cabin airfilter.
Hey if you still are having a smoke problem with the truck and still own the ozone generator, Go ahead and do this, just need a aluminum hose, by concentrating the air into the car from the box like this it’ll help a lot. And also you can stick this tube directly into your car vents which is what needs to be addressed to get rid of the smell ruclips.net/video/R5EbGnAFpv0/видео.html
You basically got it correct on the chemistry. The odor threshold for ozone is 0.1 ppm and NIOSH says this level isn't safe to work in for like an 8 hour day, day after day. So do this outdoors where it won't get into your living space, and if you can smell that sweet ozone smell, don't spend any significant time in that atmosphere.
I bought a used motorhome and used a swimming pool ozone light I had, left it on 24 hours for three days with a small fan running and it got rid of the cigarette smoke smell, the ozone smell lasted a few days and now it just smells like a motorhome, it was fairly new and now I can smell the wood cabinets now. I would just rent one, I haven't used mine since the motorhome. Of course they're only $90, don't know how much to rent one if you need it for awhile. They do work though.
I had the exact experience as you BUT! the smell returns after a few days. I’ve done this process at least 15 times now and the smell always returns. I’d love to see you post a follow up video.
Absolutely! Now, I did replace the cabin air filter shortly after running this. I've had people come in the truck and asked them, they didn't smell anything.
I just bought a truck from CarMax. I bought it sight unseen because I was confident but I would like the truck. I finished handing over my trade-in and paid for the truck. I said thank you told everyone how awesome they were and when I opened up the door I gagged a little from the noxious cigarette oder. And now I see why you left the people that smoke in your truck out of your prayer, just kidding kind of I think I'll try your technique.
Hi Chuck Nice to See your Post also just to share a point that we are not supposed to enter once the treatment is completed. You need to give equal duration as you fix . ..say if you run the ozone unit for 15 minutes. Open all th doors to get into the car after 15 minutes this for health hazard. Thank you. @JIMMY ARAGON how did your ozone treatment last now that it's been awhile? I'm about to purchase my dream truck but it was lightly smoked in so I wanna try this treatment. Did you have good results?
Cut a pool noodle to fit the top of the window. Cut a small notch for the cord. Run the cord out the window and roll up the window. The noodle will seal the air gap at the top.
I just bought one for an Airbnb. I keep smokers from smoking indoors but their nasty asses drag their stench into my home and it's horrible. I also run a air purifier for a few hours after they check out
Putting it in a house is dangerous due to the elimination of oxygen. You can use this machine in rooms of a house, just need to plan on a short vacation while it runs.

Fantastic comment! Thank you adding on to this, really amazing information.
ozone oxidizes rubber
@@MaximumEfficiency Agreed. But has no effect at low concentrations. We ozonate rooms every night that contain leather, rubber and other sensitive materials with no adverse effect. Again, with ribs, "low and slow" and "scorching" can both cook it, but they have a dramatically different impact.
Have to say that I appreciate the face first sniff segment lol! Good for comic relief in an otherwise serious video. Thanks for the good info.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely right!
Every detailer I checked locally charges $60 per treatment, so if you use it twice, its paid for.
I've used it several times, so it's been worth the investment!
Awesome video! Proud of you brother for sharing your faith. Now I'm going to say a prayer for you. Also proud of a fellow Tennessee guy, although that should be a Vol shirt rather than Boston College.
I like the Vols, but BC is my team. HAHA!
Hey chuck thanks for this review! Any updates on how this has worked out for you? Has the smell stayed away?
I plan on doing a follow up video soon. The smell stayed away for the most part. There were times during the summer where a hint of odor would return, but nothing like it was.
Nice pick up truck Chuck. May the Lord make all your travels safe.
Thank you sir!
first time i see a reviewer praying after the video
great !! :-) keep the good work
Thank you very much
It is amazing!
I use it regularly on my cars, and even at my home, and love it.
My biggest advice is:
- Clean the interior really well (with no abrasive cleaners);
- If you have a vacuum cleaner with water (e.g., Bissell SpotClean), use it on both the seats and floor;
- Avoid touching at all on the headliner, and I would only do it in particular affected sections;
- Run the ozone machine afterwards for several hours (I would let is for 4 to 6 hours);
- Let the truck open, so fresh air can enter the cabin, and take the ozone out.
Ozone is bad for your lungs, hence, do not enter the cabin while the machine is running, and let fresh air enter the cabin after running the machine!
When are you giving us an update on this?
It still smells smoke free. It worked really well.
They kinda work but you gotta tear out all the plastics and you’ll find piles of ash under there and in the air vents, you have to use the ozone machine many times
Great video, also I appreciated the prayer at the end. Great testimony and informative content
Glad it was helpful!
@@DaddingAllDay much appreciate and certainly will! Thank you so much!
Try it for 30 minutes first, then do 15 minute increments if the first round doesn't knock it out.
@@DaddingAllDay Hey Chuck just tried my ozone machine and it worked amazing! I going to keep using it once a week for the AC system it still as just a little smell to it but a million times better. Thanks for the help.
Great idea to change the cabin air filter as well. Run the vehicle with the a/c circulation on. Helps a lot. Great review
Thank you very much Tim.
@@DaddingAllDay you're welcome Chuck!!
what if your car doesnt have a cabin airfilter

So how does it smell after a couple weeks? Did you have to redo it after making this video? Do you still have a positive opinion of it?
I absolutely do recommend it. Every once in a while a slight odor will come back then disappear. After a few weeks the Ozone smell will be gone.
cool video man...the transition to when you started sniffing everywhere had me rolling LOL!!! Also...it's a play off the word ethereal, pronounced e-thee...reee...ul....so I guess it's Air-thee--reee---ul. Wow I was typing at the end. Thanks for the prayer at the end!
Thank you for watching! I still don't know how to pronounce it. Lol
Congrats on the new truck and hope that odor is gone for good!
Thank you!!!
Change that cabin air filter too !!! My super duty I just got had the same issue
Absolutely. I did that within a few days of this video. Excellent advice!
We own a shared rental house,
Whether they should or not, they smoke, plus they had a spate of bedbugs.
That's awesome!
Thank you so much for the video and the prayer!
Congrats Chuck. The truck is beautiful. I am glad the generator worked out. If it was a Jeep you could have driven through a car wash with the windows open 🤣. Pray is always good 🙏
Haha! Thank you sir! I'm glad it worked as well. Told my wife we don't need the leather seats now... she still wants leather.
That lingering smell is the offgassing of the molecules it was eliminating.
A bowl of vinegar left over nighthelps a lot.
I love the video, definitely love the prayer at the end! Because of that, I subscribed ❤
Awesome! I appreciate you watching.
I bought a ozone generator for use on my cars. Not that expensive probably less than getting interior detailed professionally.
12:00 thank you for the prayer bro 🙏🏽
Small price to pay to eliminate an odor. Not to mention, your family and friend can use it, too.
As long as they are safe with it, no reason they couldn't.
Great video 😊 I bless you back!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.
A lot of people say the smell is the same after a lightning storm...
Interesting. I've not heard that
Dude, thanks for the pray. Greetings from Germany, I am struggling now with lots of stuff... Including a new home where previous tenants smoked as there were no tomorrow, God bless you
You are very welcome! These machines will get that smell out for sure, but it make take a few attempts. God bless you!
I got the smell out. But what do you do with the lingering ozone smell? I’m pregnant and I’ve evacuated the apartment for months after using the ozone machine.
Came for the ozone. Stayed for the prayer.
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
Oh yes. Needs to be aired out thoroughly. Definitely not odorless.
Oh absolutely. We have area rugs that our dogs have... used... they, the rugs... not dogs... will be getting an Ozone treatment soon.
@@DaddingAllDay Trying it on the dogs sounds like a lot more fun!
I'm very impressed! They are expensive for the amount of use.
I use the same machine. I purchased a truck that a guy smoked cigars in. I ran it for 10 hours and worked
Wow. 10 hours! I'm glad it worked
"Air theer ee ul", like ethereal.
About to try my ozone machine.
This model or something else?
@DaddingAllDay Something else: " Enerzen Ozone Generator 11,000mg Industrial 03 Air Purifier / Deodorizer ".
Which sounds fancy but lists for ~$99. I paid about $75.
It definitely helped with prior owner car smoke smell. I'd say the biggest impact was on air coming out of the AC. I did use the machine with the car running and AC on circulate. ~30m
Smoking in your own car is the same thing as shitting in your bed where you sleep. Lol😂
Not quite but ok
I've done both, the man is correct.

Great review and thank you for your prayers!

@@DaddingAllDay Will do! Thank you so much for your response :)
Thats a beautiful truck! Loved the sniffing too 😊
Thanks!
Hey if you still are having a smoke problem with the truck and still own the ozone generator,
Go ahead and do this, just need a aluminum hose, by concentrating the air into the car from the box like this it’ll help a lot. And also you can stick this tube directly into your car vents which is what needs to be addressed to get rid of the smell
ruclips.net/video/R5EbGnAFpv0/видео.html
You basically got it correct on the chemistry. The odor threshold for ozone is 0.1 ppm and NIOSH says this level isn't safe to work in for like an 8 hour day, day after day. So do this outdoors where it won't get into your living space, and if you can smell that sweet ozone smell, don't spend any significant time in that atmosphere.
I'm glad I go something right! Haha! Thanks for watching.
@@DaddingAllDay Thank you, Chuck! I'm trying it on our car now following your instructions and will let you know how it works on the dog odors.
Me too! Wow
129 is quite a reasonable price if it does what you claim.
How did the smoke smell get into the truck?
The previous owner
I bought a used motorhome and used a swimming pool ozone light I had, left it on 24 hours for three days with a small fan running and it got rid of the cigarette smoke smell, the ozone smell lasted a few days and now it just smells like a motorhome, it was fairly new and now I can smell the wood cabinets now. I would just rent one, I haven't used mine since the motorhome. Of course they're only $90, don't know how much to rent one if you need it for awhile. They do work though.
Does the car air conditioner run while the ozone device is running?
Yes. In the full circulation mode so it runs through the system
I had the exact experience as you BUT! the smell returns after a few days. I’ve done this process at least 15 times now and the smell always returns. I’d love to see you post a follow up video.
I can definitely do that. Thank you for the suggestion. There are days when I get a faint odor. 99% of the time I have no issues.
Do the results last long?
Yes. There times in the summer where it odor creeps back, overall it's way better
Ha I just got the same exact truck but extended cab also with the same smoke smell. Good to see this will fix my issue!
Congrats on the new truck! Make sure you replace the cabin air filter, then run the machine.
Following for the simple fact you’re a man of God! 🎉❤
Thank you.
Would these work for pet smells?
Absolutely!
Has it kept the smell out? We have a car that was purchased and it stinks! Thanks.
Absolutely! Now, I did replace the cabin air filter shortly after running this. I've had people come in the truck and asked them, they didn't smell anything.
Congrats on the truck! Funny compilation of you sniffing everything... 😁👊🏼
I had to give it the ol' sniff test. Haha!
@@DaddingAllDay 🤣
thx from south korea! i bought a small chinese ozone maker and get ready to go. can you plz describe like how many percentage the ciga smells gone?
That's tough to say. I would say that most of the smell was gone. There may have been a lingering scent left over, but nothing obscene.
Sniffing was hilarious! Very informative video thanks 👍
Hahaha!! Now I feel bad for not praying for them. I will say that changing the cabin air filter, along with the machine, worked really well.
Hi Chuck Nice to See your Post also just to share a point that we are not supposed to enter once the treatment is completed. You need to give equal duration as you fix . ..say if you run the ozone unit for 15 minutes. Open all th doors to get into the car after 15 minutes this for health hazard.
Thank you.

Thank you so much for the tip!
God bless you what a useful and beautiful prayer.

The ending lmao that gave u a follow!
How is the truck now? No smell? And have you used it on other cars or in the house? Ordered one today gets here tomorrow , hopefully it gets the funky smells outta my car someone smelly sat in it for a couple min and now it had a stench 😅
The truck is great! No smell at all. I haven't used any where else yet. May do my wife's care here soon.
@@DaddingAllDay nice! @JIMMY ARAGON how did your ozone treatment last now that it's been awhile? I'm about to purchase my dream truck but it was lightly smoked in so I wanna try this treatment. Did you have good results?
the smelling nose touch had me - my god thanks for the laughs, might have to give it a try
Cut a pool noodle to fit the top of the window. Cut a small notch for the cord. Run the cord out the window and roll up the window. The noodle will seal the air gap at the top.
That's an excellent idea! Thank you.

Someone has to represent!
I just bought one for an Airbnb. I keep smokers from smoking indoors but their nasty asses drag their stench into my home and it's horrible. I also run a air purifier for a few hours after they check out
That's a really awesome combo!!
What liquid did you use ?
Liquid? This model doesn't require a liquid.
I would love to know what version is for a house?
If anyone could help I'd appreciate that.
Putting it in a house is dangerous due to the elimination of oxygen. You can use this machine in rooms of a house, just need to plan on a short vacation while it runs.
@@DaddingAllDay thank you for that.
I don't really have a clue what I'm doing but I'm guessing it's probably going to be the 1600.00 ozone machine that's for a house. I was under the impression there was something called a Disney machine? That supposedly makes everything smell beautiful. Perhaps someone just said it in an expression and I misunderstood
Just like adventures of handyman I have done 7 times so far at 1 hr a time. Smell still there.
After first 3 times had carpets shampooed ceiling wiped with enzymes cleaner by pro detailer.
Now I got new cabin filter and did front area again.
Still smells.
Going to get fan fixed and run on high fan and circle air and see if the fan on high does better job
That stinks... no pun intended. There has to be something that trapped the odor.
Well I can’t take off the leather set covers and clean inside of there.
After I get air duck system and heater cleaned by installing new fan motor I can run fan on high circle air with ac on
If that makes it better then still smells I can work with that.
Pretty much can’t do anything about inside seats other then get new seats that’s not happening
It’s the best I can do
I can’t get hosed 8k bucks so I am stuck with this fore three four yrs then trade it in
