Very good. This is the only video that actually shows the hard work to chase smoke odor. I have a car that smells like an ashtray even a year later. I"ve skipped detailing steps and that's why it still smells.
how long do you leave it air out for? i am hearing so many mixed results and just ran a 30 min ozone treatment for my car, let it sit for 30 and now airing it out but don't know how long to leave it.. some are saying days, some say an hour...
I would like to add this service to my detailing business but I heard that ozone treatments can possibly bleach the interior if there are any chemical residue from the cleaning process. What products do you use when doing this service?
Really enjoy watching your videos and it helps me improve my process..keep up the great job. Also what is the name of the cleaning product you use for cigarette smoke?😁
Pine Sol and soapy water works great. Nicotine has to be cleaned out by hand. Ozone treatment might help break it down but it doesn't just magically disappear.
What brushes do you use for you drill? I have bought 2 sets of Amazon and they all have broke where the metal is molded I to the plastic. Maybe it's user error but I figured I would ask, also what do you use for brushing the headliner?
The problem is, the odor is in the heat ducts and the heater core / air conditioner core inside the dash. Pulling the heating / cooling system out and physically washing all components is the only way to eliminate the odor.
Any tips for removing the odor from leather seats? I did everything else including cleaning the leather seats with steam and express interior with a scrub ninja but the smell persists
We change our method based on the condition of the headliner. This one was in great condition so it was easy to spray and agitate. Others, we might go with a more gentle cleaning
It’s just a typical polisher with a gentle microfiber pad, the same kind you use for final stage paint polishing. It’s the most effective way to clean a headliner. Do it all the time in my detailing business.
@@JacobThomas_17 I use Koch Chemie Polstar or P&S Carpet Bomber. You can use anything that’s made for textiles or even ONR or McKees 37 rinseless wash diluted down to their interior cleaning ratios. Just don’t use an APC or a degreaser like Super Clean because they can damage the glue that holds the headliner in place causing it to sag. Just spray the cleaner on the microfiber pad instead of the headliner. If you have a bad stain spray it onto soft bristle brush to agitate it and then go over it with the polisher. Use a dry microfiber towel after to soak up any excess liquid left over.
FYI, many times the smoke odor is coming from the AC system. The evaporator coil MUST BE thoroughly flushed/washed and treated with a Lysol type product. In the video you don't show any of that treatment?
My car was stolen and the thieves stuffed everything they owned in my vehicle. It was recovered in less than 12 hours but now there is an unbelievably bad smell in my car that I can't get rid of. It is almost indescribable like a wet carpet oozing out a metallic funk. What on earth could have caused that? It is near undrivable now.
I like how you get your employees involved by having them explain what they're doing. Fantastic way to get them emerged in the job, passion follows.

Great video what was the chemical used to break up the nicotine ?
The primary chemical products used for odor removal was Tabac Atak = ProRestore Odor X Tabac Attack and I believe IA= Isopropyl Alcohol.
Also Unsmoke degrease all
Also UnSmoke degrease all
IPA is the typical abbreviation fwiw, but you got the point across so it doesnt really matter
Great video and content. Its great that you stand on what you do.👍👍
Of course 🙌🏽
Bro... You guys are amazing lets goooo 💪🏽💯🎉
hey bro I’m an insurance adjuster and love your vids to educate me on the detail business

So how does it work when u clean car seats when they have seat warmers? U still spray them, brush and vacuum it like normal?
You'd be a bit more mindful, but yes, same process. That's why we upgraded our wand to a Sapphire. It reduces the amount of water used

Is that a polisher for the headliner? What brand

What pad is lex using on the head liner?
Ain't no way bro hit us with the "pause" 9:31 🤣🤣 And I think most people either missed it or it's people that don't know what it means lmao.
Where do you get the ozone treatment machine and what’s would you recommend
Do you have a link on the ozone machine or a recommendation????
surprised the seats and carpeting werent taken out and cleaned separately, along with the body underneath
what drill and pad are you using to clean the headliner?
Detail Groove. What was product you used to treat odor that was sprayed on & then extracted?
Was just about to ask the same question
ps, when treating with ozone, you should have the car running with the AC on 30-60 min..
Wish you guys were in Orange County, CA. I need this service!
I would like to ask if how to remove a fragrance oil stain in a car infotainment system. I’m having a hard time in removing the stain. Thanks
Was that flex citrus that you sprayed on the carpet?

Have you ever had any issues cleaning the headliner like that? I'm always worried about it sagging when I spray it down lightly to agitate it.
We change our method based on the condition of the headliner. This one was in great condition so it was easy to spray and agitate. Others, we might go with a more gentle cleaning
@Detail Groove what polisher is that for the headliner?
what product is the one guy spraying on the headliner?
Tobac attack
If nothing is done, how long will smell disipate naturaly?
I'm curious how hard it is to remove seat belts? I heard him say you remove them and pressure wash.
Just a couple bolts. Pretty simple
Where are you guys at
Do you run 1 “30 min” ozone treatment and let air out for how long?
We usually run it for 4 to 6 hours and let it air out for an hour or so. You have to time everything to make sure you stay on track
whats that thing ure using on the roof?

@@statusquoreject What cleaner would you use with the headliner cleaner and the orbital polisher

u can't really see odor but you can smell it.. gotta smell each part for a complete detail
Yup!
Bought an ozone generator for $80. Used it on my used truck that was smoked in. 30 mins and gone.

If the oder keeps coming back that mean its under the sets❤
How to get rid of Smoke odor... Easy... Don't smoke in the car... Try it.
You forgot the AC evaporator too
whats the best way to get the weed smell out of the car??🤔
A good option for the owner is "not to smoke in the vehicle" 😝
Pause 😂😂😂
ayoooo PAUSE!!
550 is cheap
The interior wasn't that much work. We've gone up to $1,400 for a smoke odor removal
Ozone machine kiddo, no chemicals and way cheaper, easier, let car air very good after that.
yup, we run it for 4 to 6 hours. turns off on its own. Move vehicle outside and air out
I did this, it works at first but the smell comes back after a couple weeks. You have to get it out of all the fabrics or it will always come back.
How to get it out? @@Mrcaffinebean
Heavy “W. E. E. D” odor
😅😅😅 but nah this was straight cigarettes lol
Damn smokers!
I would use an ozone machine .
Smoke is nasty af! Imagine what it’s doing inside your body 😅
