We were just there and it was not expensive at all - about the same as any major city. Hotels were reasonable and meals were fairly priced for the quality you get at most places.
If you are in Oslo in May to early September I recommend the Botanical Garden in Tøyen. It's a beautiful park. And right next to it is the Natural History Museum. Really easy to get there with the subway. Another great park is The Vigeland Park, famous for its many fountains and statues. The Historical Museum is almost right next to the National Gallery and is worth a visit if you are interested in history and artifacts.
I was going to put that one in there. I really should have made one of those combination of multiple sights numbers. Thanks for putting it here in the comments to help other travelers.
Great vid! Your videos on Iceland are very informative! I am going in the summer for a few weeks for vacation and I ran across your videos and they're a great source of information. Thanks a lot!
I love your videos. If you ever do a new video about Norway, one thing you should add is that Norwegians typically don't eat out like Americans do. It is so much cheaper to buy and make your own food in the grocery store, and the beer costs 1/3rd of what the pubs/bars sells them for. I can't speak for others, but my family usually eat at restaurants twice a year. (Not counting fast food)
Like 100000 times cheaper :) I have a what to eat video and a 5 love and hates of norway video coming so I will make sure to mention it. All the best to you my friend!
+Inostrancevia Filme I agree. The park is amazing! When I went there in early spring last year it was raining, but I still enjoyed it a lot because the sculptures are so beautiful.
I studied in Argentina in college and was living in Brazil but that was before I started Wolters world. We are heading down to Brazil and other South American countries later this year though so they are coming.
