    It seems to me that much of the criticism about this camera is unfounded. People are comparing it to Sony's top-tier photo or video cameras, forgetting that this is a hybrid, which means compromises have to be made. This line of cameras has never had dual memory card slots or active cooling, and it probably never will. There simply isn't enough space for that. Significantly increasing the size would kill this line of cameras.
    Overall, I really liked the camera except for a few minor things. What do you think, guys?

      I think it is a very good "Dad" camera: Easy to take along on family vacations and the autofoucs is reliable enough to keep up with the kids. Plus Sony has enough lenses to get "professional" results when yoiu need them, whatever that means. (I have seen some beautiful wildlife / birds in flight photos taken with the a6300). And the price is certainly competitive. I guess if I were in to street photography, having a camera like an a6700 would be less intimidating than hauling around a much bigger camera.

      @@marinrealestatephotography I agree, holding this camera makes me want to start shooting immediately. On July 11, Sony will release the ZV-E10 II, which will have the A6700 sensor and the A7S3 processor, and it will record 120fps 4K without cropping and cost around 800 bucks. So far, it sounds too good to be true for that price. Let's see what happens.

    Nice video i use a M50 for years and i order the a6700, i was between fuji xs20 and a6700 but the fuji have bad autofocus and minimal buttons to navigate

      In early July, the ZV-E10 II will be released; There will be an a6700 sensor and an a7s3 processor (120 fps without crop and other cool features were promised). The camera will cost about 800-900. If I were you, I'd wait for the official announcement if you haven't bought the a6700 yet.

      @@GEXAR yes i know about the release but its not shure when some say may, august, september... but i dont think sony are so dumb to release all good features and cut their feets from other products, maybe they put 120fps with 10min recording time, if its good im gonna sell the 6700 and get the zve10 i find it in a good price

    Thanks for the video. I am finally, finally trying to sell my a6500. It was literally my workhorse for several years (140K shutter actuations!!!) until I got a Panasonic S1, and later an S5 (original). Moving to Panasonic from Sony introduced me to the concept of "Hekob," which is "Bokeh" in reverse, meaning the subject is beautifully blurred out while the wall 20 feet behind the subject is tack sharp in focus. Maybe I should hold on to my a6500 a little longer???

      😆😆 I had to read it twice to catch the sarcasm, very subtle. Yes, the autofocus on older Panasonic cameras is terrible, but starting with the S5II, it’s great. I’d wait for the release of the ZV-E10II; it would be frustrating to spend twice as much for similar capabilities(a6700).

    I am not sold on any system but I can get the Panasonic G9 II for about the same price in my country. As a glasses users, the tiny viewfinder isn't looking that good to me. Neither is the stabilization being average.

      @GEXAR  19 дней назад

      You might also consider Lumix S5II if size is not your main criterion. This is a fullframe. The Panasonic G9 II looks pretty good if, but it's an MTF system with a small sensor. Sony certainly has an advantage in AF and AI innovation, but prices are usually higher for their products than for lumix.

    I do agree if you are doing general photography I will say the upgrade is unnecessary. In fact the A6600/6400 sensor that i preferred the images more than the A6700. However, I'm a wildlife photographer and shooting birds perched, the new AF is way better than the other models. With eye detection, I can get significantly sharper bird photos than my previous A6600. The only great disappointment is the 11fps and lower resolution than R7. However the R7's buffer is so small, the 30 fps is quite useless.

      Thanks for the comment. I don't know why, but when I have this camera in my hands, I feel like shooting animals, specifically in video rather than photos. Perhaps it's because of the additional crop in slow-motion video. Such a style really relaxes me.

      @@GEXAR Hi indeed, I purchased the A6700 despite knowing it has such poor frame rate. The redeeming factor was 4k 120fps. What surprised me was how significantly sharper images I could get from my stills compared to the A6600.

    "Difference in photography is not the much" ..... Strange how all these testers never rate the look of the pictures. I had an 6400 - and compared to the 6700 the 6400 images look cheaper, need more work in Lightroom and still don't match 6700 shots afterwards. This was evident to me when I had the first impressions on Sony promo shots when the camera was released. What do all these technical details matter when there is such a great improvement of the sensor resulting in much better looking pictures.

      These are personal preferences of everyone, below there is an opposite comment about who likes the photos taken on 6400/6600 more. I work more with video, so for me the new video and camera autofocus capabilities are more noticeable than photos.

      @@GEXAR So easy: Take an image with the 6400/6600 and then with the 6700. Then compare. Why are testers not doing this? The image matters more than anything else. The only RUclipsr who ever did this is here. ruclips.net/video/nkJFiC1xK0E/видео.html

    I own this camera and I have to disagree with the title of this video. It is not a flop. I was torn between canon R7 and Sony a6700. I went Sony mainly because you have a ton of lenses to choose from, something you haven't mentioned. Autofocus is crazy fast, new menu system shines, it is compact and futures packed. If you miss autofocus joystick simply set up your screen to work as a touch pad and use your finger, it works just fine.

    • @GEXAR
      @GEXAR  20 дней назад

      Yes the camera is cool. I also absolutely agree about the lenses. And the fact that Sony has one mount for two camera systems is simply fantastic. I cut out 2 parts from the video, one was about unjustified criticism of the camera. People compare it to top Sony cameras when it should be compared within its own line, and if you look at this one like that, the result is huge.

    4:07 "there are better options for this price" yes, maybe the Canon R7. But if you are a Sony shooter and you want these features then no better options. And you can not say that "for photography" there wouldn't be a big difference between the 6700 and the 6500. If you shoot street, portrait, landscape then yes, but if you shoot wildlife or sport then the difference between the 2 cameras is day and night due to the much newer af system.
    I can see a lot of content creaters who recommend cameras just for photography or just for videography without knowing which genre the user represents.

    • @GEXAR
      @GEXAR  20 дней назад

      You're right, I actually meant other camera systems, not Sony. The main idea is that people want the features of a top-end Sony photo or video camera for this price, and forget that this is a hybrid, and some sacrifices must be made. In my opinion, this camera has the biggest improvement in terms of AF and video capabilities rather than photos.
