Definitely used the pink lotion that was the GO TO lmao
Still use it😭😭
Exactly what I was bouta sayy🤣🤣🤣
My mama used to have a BIG bottle of it for me 🥴
Right🤣I’m using it on my hair as I type!
Me too pink lotion and blue magic were my magical hair product
My mom used to put so much grease and pink lotion in my hair I couldn’t lean on anything or I would leave a grease mark lmao
same🤦🏾♀️
Same
Forehead & ears would be extra greasy. 🤣
I bet it was long af tho lol
My mom was white so she didn’t put stuff curly hair needed so my hair was basically wavy\curly put my grandma would pour pink lotion in my hair and lather grease on it my hair was oily af
Can you imagine if Jasmine started her own curly hair product company 😂😊
She should
GIRLLLLL, I WOULD BUY EVERYYY PRODCT
Yesss make this top comment
She really should.
That would be so cool.
Omg my mom would put so much of that grease in my hair lol and she used the pink lotion in my hair too. There wasn't much curly hair products back then. Thank God for all of the hair products today.
I still use them-
two zits showed up on my face just by looking at the pink lotion and blue magic. LOL
Ikrrr
Blue magic is dope
It has just been revealed that blue magic is not a black run company
But I get what you saying
XxMalsk1xX and?
The smell of pink oil lotion triggers child hood memories.
I still use it😂😂
@@ew.itz.ash_3625 same I have a big bottle of it 😭😭.
@@Dayatherealist YESSS
I used to use the pink and blue magic. When I was in the 6th grade I leaned my head against the classroom door. When I pulled away everyone was laughing at me because I left grease on the door in the shape of my hair. It was there for weeks 😭
🤣🤣🤣
That happened to me when I leaned my head on the bus window! 😂😂😂
I could literally smell the products as you opened them especially the blue magic😂
I felt attacked when u saw the blue magic 😂😂😂
My 5 year old watched this with me & she said “mama did we ever use that?” (Grease) I said no & she was like “she said we lyinnnnn” 😂😂😂😂😂
my mom still be using blue magic when she braids my hair for me😂
does it grow your hair?
tiana yeah it actually did when i didnt use heat!:)
My mom too fkdkxs she uses DAX
Same here I'm still using
same 😂
Yo I swear my hair did better when I was using shitty alcohol and drying products 😭 it was so much thicker and stronger but im pretty sure my hair is thinning for other reasons
omgggg hahaha i have exactly the same!
Same
just so you know you dont have to go sulfate/silicone/parabern/alcohol free! a lot of girls have lost their hair after switching to curly girl approved products simply because it did not work for them. id recommend maines by mell or jamye jo's video on why they dont follow the curly girl method anymore it explains this in a bit more depth!
Trust meee..When I first started doing my own hair and using methods and following the natural society hair care or whatever I had mad issues and my hair became so fragile. I turned back to grease and using any shampoo/conditioner. Just a step or too and slightly improved methods from when My Mum did my hair😁 I can’t believe it took me a couple of years to realize the OG Mommy hair care was it for me!! Stray away too far and my hair goes to 💩
Same. My hair was so much bigger years ago before I even heard of CGM
no but i really loveeee how it looks😍 it’s shiny and defined honestly
Dax
samee
When I first moved to Atlanta I went grocery shopping for the first time in my neighborhood and I was AMAZED at the amount of curly hair products. It was a whole isle and it was amazing.
Yessss pink lotion was my moms go to when doing my hair
Lol same. Pick lotion and hair grease
The blue magic 😂🙌🏾
Still use it today🤣
Your makeup looks so natural and smooth😍😍
the pink lotion and blue magic was a staple!!! ✊🏽😌🖤
I just realized people who are first some times aren't really first cause some time the real first don't comment like me.
LMAOOOO your profile pic makes this comment funny 😭😭😭
Well they still are first to comment
Dishonour on ye COW RIGHTTTT
your profile pic make this more funny 💀
you just made a meme in the comments with your profile picture lmao
Your hair actually came out really pretty. I always used blue magic hair grease and lusters pink. Great video idea, Jas! 🙂💕
they don't even have black hair products let alone sections in Australian Targets or other stores in 2020...
some of us still use those products be they are what we can afford 😭 Literally how i do my hair ..i’m 16 😭 nd i go to school like that and all 😭 ..i still like it tho..( :
I think it looks great!!
Aww just do what makes u happy who cares 💕 personally I think it’s cool an old school of u to use these an ur a hs student no one in the real world expects you to cash out on hair products 😭
If it works for you then keep doing it girl! I’m ashamed to admit how much money I’ve spent on some of these curly hair products that influencers tell you you need😔😂
Does ur hair puff up or does it stay down and look “wet”
@@naturallyhayden i know that grease & water is very moisturizing & the olive oil hair lotion from ORS works .My hair is thick but transitioning all this slicks it down
Blue Magic & Pink Lotion was the GOAT 😂. My late great-grandmother would always ask me, “Did you grease your hair?” EVERYDAY. Then made me get the lotion and grease my scalp. 😭
Girl, tell me why I used the same products as a little girl. 💀
😂💯 we only had about 10 choices
Child...I literally just used the Blue Magic stuff in my hair and she is hydrated lol
Did anyone else use the Just for Me lotion when they were little😂 that was my GO TO😂
I criiinged when you starting detangling your hair from the top. That causes sooo much breakage just start from the bottom lolll😆
Growing up with a white mom who only knew how to french braid on a good day and sectioning my hair to condition and detangle with Suave, I had to hurry up and find products to keep protective styles. And that pink bottle was my go to from Sally's.
That pink and blue magic tho😂😂😂😂😂 my childhood
Me watching her do her old curly hair routine brought back memories that almost made me cry ( I used to use 3of those products
Pink lotion was my shit😂 and I was just like you with the grease. Hated the big puffy look when I younger. My curls where so tight, That blue magic use to straighten them curls out 😂🤦🏽♀️ thank god for change! And yes gel was the worst. I can’t believe I use to use JAM 🤮😩😂🤦🏽♀️
My daughter loves pink lotion! It works so good for her hair!
Ugh I wish I would've had this instead of all the relaxers my mom would put in
Great video Jazzy! Old school memories! 💞
The nostalgia of this video my mom’s favorite products for my hair was pink oil moisturizer and some sort of grease, hot water and a bore bristle brush.
I went back to the old way after trying this new wave stuff. My hair came back baby!
What was the hot water for?
@@ruthannroberson7048 I’m not 100% sure, I guess it’s to make everything lay down or brush through easier.
Man at least you're hair looked great. When I was little my mom had 0 idea of how to work with my hair and she used to just shampoo, condition it and in some special occasions drenched it in gel😂😂
My mom used the pink lotion on me and my sisters hair when we was younger, and a few years ago I used the care free and blue magic🤗
"I dont put a lot in my hair "* puts a lot*😅😅 every curly hair person ever
We didn’t use that blue magic we used the green grease with the little pieces in it, idk what it was called cause the label was always ripped off 💀
I Think It's The Indian Hemp One😂I Still Use It
Yess ! It smelled good but it was extremely greasy
@@desireewynn1940 yh
WAIT IM GONNA GO GET IT LMAO-
Ok I found 2, blue magic organics and Indian hemp?
I’m dead serious the thumbnail products brought back so many memories 💀😭😂
I used to use the motions pink lotion in my hair!
“i didn’t do this on purpose , but i mean i did for the video” 😭💕💕
I just started using Blue Magic again and I'm glad I did 🙂
I used so much Tresemmé moose when I was in middle school 🤣😅 I should own part of the company
Also that pink lotion, I used to straighten my curls with that as a base 😩😫
Oh my god I remember all these products😭 now I wanna try this challenge too
Girl! We thought we were fancy when we moved from the blue Blue Magic to the Coconut oil 1. I used 2/4 of those products.
I'm black & German and back in my older days lol I used the care free curl snap back. And let me tell you it work wonders bringing out my natural curly hair. I still have very long hair but I mostly wear it up in a bun now. Now my hair comes down to the end of my tail bone and I don't have the courage to cut it and my hubby would probably give me the stank eye if I cut it lol! You have very beautiful healthy hair ❤ keep up the good work cuz your hair is gorgeous!!!🥰
YESSSS that blue magic and pink moisturizer. Old memories of getting my hair done.
Jasmine: back in the day the aisle was sooooo small for curly hair
Me: lives in Australia and we have like no aisle for curly hair 🤦🏽♀️
Same here in the Philippines🤦♀️
EJ Baliguas lolllll
And Ireland 😂
Girl, pink lotion!! I haven’t thought about that stuff in a hot minute!!
My mum didn’t know how to do my hair but I am happy she kept my hair natural. I also had to learn how to do my hair at a early age. 💞
Yes Care Free Curl Gold and Luster’s Pink
Moisturizer had to do it !
If you have curly hair and you didn’t use Blue Magic, idk what your parents were doing?! Like that was literal magic ✨
Yes. My mom used it on my hair when I was a kid and I still use on my hair and my sons hair.
@@tiarasmith6174 Same here. My mom used it on my hair & now I use it on my son's hair.
Dax and Doo Gro too 😂
Doo Gro has been a staple in my household since 2014 and I'm 17
@@reidon1203 a sulfur8
That pink lotion brings back so many memories 😂 and yeah I deffo think they changed the packaging
Care free curl is a MUST for me....periodt . Keeps my hair soft!
love you girl ...you inspired me and my healthy hair journey now my hair is healthy and cute 🥰🥰🥰
I use to use the pink lotion on my hair when I was little. Now I use on my daughters hair, it’s the only product that keeps her hair moisturized 👌🏼➰
I actually love your hair like that! You should do your hair like this more often!
I was bought up with my mum and white side of my family and we had no idea what to do with my hair ! The ONLY thing I would have used on me (as a kid) was that same pink lotion!! Would be brushed for ages, not sectioned and the lotion just patted on top.. my hair did look nice looking back but I couldn’t bare to do that to it today! The results are so different than what I do now!! It’s crazy how things change xx
I still use blue magic 😂 literally last night
I love-love Pink Lotion back in the day. That product was my go to. 💁🏽♀️💗
I still use Blue Magic Grease especially the coconut oil one ❤🇦🇬
I have that blue magic conditioner, the curl activator, and the mousse! Omg 😭
Pink lotion used to be my JAM. I have some blue magic in my cabinet right now. 🤣
Pink lotion
Doo gro
Not blue magic but blue softee grease was my mom's go to
Sulfur 8 grease
Hair mayo
When you still use pink lotion 19 years later 😂😂
That curl activator was a must 😂 & pink lotion yesss !! But i didnt use it when i started doing my own hair & that mousse lol
Omg 😱 I cant imagine doing my hair during this time
I would drench my hair with blue magic too!! People would think my hair was wet but it was just the coconut oil 😂 but my hair wasn’t frizzy, it did the job but felt really greasy
I wish we had more curly hair products in Europe, too! I mean we curly people exist here too and not all of us are rich enough to afford them because here are twice as expensive :( and yes, about time there are more! I think every curly girl has used garnier mousses too lol
I had to buy childhood products...i'm 25 now & it works, my hair misses it. I got mane n tail, blue magic original, and I got pink moisturizer :)
I don’t use curly hair products only some next conditioner for white people🙈
Tbh I stopped following the curly hair method and avoiding silicones and sulfates blah blah. I think I am one of those rare cases where such products and ingredients work good for my hair lol
@@isaaclopez63 actually sulfate and silicone isnt bad for your hair only if use it to regularly or dont put moisture back in your hair also is it just me or doesnt your jus feel cleaner with sulfate and silicone
Yesss, Blue Magic always did the thang!!!
Really enjoyed watching this TB 🤭
This is what I’m currently going through. Products here in Africa are very expensive for curly hair
GURL. I JUST MOVED TO DENVER FROM ATL AND THE PRODUCT GAME HERE IS MAGICAL
Pink lotion!! Lmaoooo I loved that stuff along with the coconut oil and some black or clear gel 😂😂😂
When you picked your hair out it made such a big difference you should make a difference an in-depth video on how to do it!!!
My mom used to saturate my hair with pink lotion! I still buy it and use every now and then.
i use the care free curl gold now and it works wonders for my 4 type hair
THE PINK OMG I CANT I LATHERED THAT STUFF ON MY HAIR🥴
My mom used softee and I use blug magic on my daughter hair.. and I still use pink oil on my daughter hair also
Your hair when you were a child was so long and healthy your mom did a great job of doing it and you looked so pretty and still look pretty and your hair looks healthy and great now that you are doing it yourself iam trying to get my curly hair too be healthy and long like it was when my mom used to do it when I was a kid or like if I go to the hair salon and a hair dresser does it 💜😊
Your hair look great. Oldies but goodies!
i remember in like 6th grade i didn’t know what i was doing with my hair and i only had dollar tree products and mousse that would dry out my hair
Blue Magic and pink lotion was the scent of my childhood and i still use it to this day
It actually looks cute 😍❤️
I have 3a hair and I just remember that horrendous conair comb that was supposed to be for curly hair. Traumatizing. Suave detangling spray, and that other “hair milk” stuff.
All except for the pink and the fructis mousse. My mom used to just put the grease and she would uses suave conditioner as a leave in. She would put pink in sometimes but not all the time. I had to start doing my own hair when i was 7 (which was a mess) so i would just use alot of grease and gel LOL. Thank God youtube came out a few years later😭
These products gave me flashback 😩 from when my grandma used to brush my forehead
😭😭
It actually came out good I like it!! Your hair is gorgeous anyways I love you girl 😘😘😘
that pink lotion brought back memories
Staples as a child! I'm sure I have a blue magic in my old room back home. 😂
I actually like the way it looks .. 12:40 when u was combing it out .. I was not expecting it to look so pretty still 😍😍
I still use the pink oil & the care free curl activator also my dad uses the blue magic coconut oil .. 🌻
Just noticed the hair color. Like it. Those old products are still good.
Blue Magic for sure! Who didn't? That was the go to and that's all the hair needed to be moisturized back then.
Everybody now! All together! Ready? 3-2-1!
🎵JUST LET YOUR SOOOOUUUUULLLLLL GLOOOOO, BABYYYY. FEELING OH SO SILKY SMOOTH🎵Love this throwback video! Asé to you all! 😊🙏🏽❤
It came out cute!
Can u please do a Brazilian product review would love to see u use sos cachos or seda or salon line
We have come a long way in Black haircare products. The younger generation don't know the struggle which is a good thing. Also, we didn't have RUclips tutorials for help.
