    Japan’s pound-for-pound hero is set to headline the biggest boxing event his country has ever seen. Undisputed junior featherweight world champion Naoya “The Monster” Inoue will defend all the belts against Mexican puncher Luis “Pantera” Nery on Monday, May 6 at the Tokyo Dome.
    Inoue, a four-weight world champion and two-weight undisputed king, will headline at the iconic venue for the first time.
    Inoue-Nery and three additional world title showdowns will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ at 4 a.m. ET/1 a.m. PT. Australia’s WBO bantamweight world champion, Jason “Mayhem” Moloney will defend his belt against rising knockout artist and former kickboxing world champion Yoshiki Takei.
    The world title quadruple-header also features WBA bantamweight world champion Takuma Inoue (19-1, 5 KOs), younger brother of Naoya, who defends his title against former world title challenger Sho Ishida (34-3, 17 KOs). And, in a flyweight world title tilt, newly minted WBA world champion Seigo Yuri Akui (19-2-1, 11 KOs) battles Taku Kuwahara (13-1, 8 KOs) in a rematch of their 2021 Japanese title bout, which Akui won by 10th-round TKO.

    I remember when he said "the things i scared the most is when people says it will be an easy fight for me"
    Inoue knows that he was fully prepared enough but still refuses to underestimate his opponents is one of the rarest thing in boxing. SSeing those trash talking fights between fighter before and after the fight, makes me realize that Inoue is really one of a kind boxer. Full package boxer with good moral and discipline.

    When Inoue joined Ohashi Gym at the age of 18, he and his father set conditions for him. ``I only fight against strong players,'' he said. This is a famous story in Japan. When Inoue was a child, he couldn't stand champions who picked weak players to create consecutive winning streaks.

      @@JustinNoypi-yx1mx You need to read up on the facts, they were gonna face eachother then COVID hit. After that he (Casimero) couldn't hold on to his belt because he came in overweight and Butler took that title and was upgraded to full champion by the governing body. After that he blew a fight with Nonito had a lackluster fight against Rigondeaux too, which imo he lost. So where is Casimero now? And do you really believe Casimero is better or are you just backing your fellow countryman? Lets be real about this, who has Casimero beat? Take both resumes and Inoue has the far superior resume taking out the ranked fighters, just look at the facts. It's easy to judge it by feeling but Casimero had a big streak of being undisciplined shooting himself in the foot. All he had to do was keep his belt and he couldn't. They can still face eachother at 126 though, and I think they will as long as Casimero doesn't loss inbetween.

Yamanaka got an immediate rematch but Nery blew weight, I think by 5 pounds. He was essentially a featherweight. Japan takes missed weight very seriously. • @droptopp3479
      @droptopp3479 19 дней назад +4

      maybe even earlier, nery isnt as good as emmanuel rodriguez and even he got stopped in round 3. If nery comes out like rodriguez then it wont last to the 5th. Everyone that has gone toe to toe trading shots with inoue never lasts more than 5rds. Only donaire has the first fight but even then donaire was more careful and trying to counter than on his 2nd fight where he came to brawl first 2 rounds

    Even in slow motion Inoue's punches look much faster than Nery's. Big clue how the fight will go. when both fighters have power, speed and precision will decide things because the one who lands faster gets to apply the power.

      @@danielblack7220 It doesn’t matter, Nery tried slugging and got put down by Figueroa. If he tries to slug inoue, who not only is a power puncher, but has insane accuracy and placement on his punches. I have Inoue taking it in rounds 6-7, Nery tries to fight inside and bang but then body shots inoue loves to setup will make the outcome the same with Nery Vs Figueroa.

    Inoue is the best prepared fighter in the world not named Bud Crawford, and perhaps even then too. And he’s the best, too. I think he’s unbeatable at this point. Best footwork, best jab, best hook, best defense, best everything.

  • @antiechelonkishin7615
    @antiechelonkishin7615 19 дней назад +5

    Nery's flexible punches can fly one-and-half-fist away than it looks, so there's a possibility for his punch to land the opponent first.
    Inoue needs to acckowledge the new space perception and keener timing to handle it. If Inoue successfully cuts down the seqence of Nery's drumroll by his speed, he'll get more chance to use his critical shot to the body or counters.

    • @domingoliao2724

      Nery is not that speedy! If you have both in coordination you are speedy! NERY is flat footed ZERO footwork! NAOYA has tremendous hand speed & fast footwork that works hand in hand! NERY can unleash his volume of wild punches to equally flat footed boxers like him & Brandon Figueroa!
