Look for car seats that have higher max weights and heights rear facing! The Nuna Rava is a great choice, a less expensive seat with high limits is the Graco extend2fit. My wife and son were in a bad accident. My wife broke her leg so badly it needed to be pieced back together with surgery. The car was totaled. My son was rear facing in his Nuna Rava and he was completely uninjured aside from some belt bruising on his thighs. The ER pediatrician said if he hadn't been rear facing he could have been very injured or worse.

Thank you, loved the video! As an alternative, I have to say we LOVE our Graco 4 Ever. It's been from newborn to now almost 4 years old and it's absolutely worked as advertised. And no, it's not disgusting because there have been *plenty* of pee, vomit, or just food accidents where I had to completely take it apart, wipe it down and wash everything, lol. It gets regular cleanings because kids are regularly gross. ;)

I agree that car seats should be reused and/or recycled because of the trash they create, especially infant car seats that can only be used for a short time. I would only accept a used car seat that is within it's expiration date, from a close friend or family member, and they promise it's never been in an accident. It's a very personal thing to share safety products so get to know your community and never isolate yourself! I love what the Dad Verb channel is doing!

So my daughter is almost 2.5 years old and I felt I had to recently change her to forward facing because she kept unbuckling her seat to turn around. I wonder if there’s anything in the market that is safe that will prevent her from unbuckling the chest strap
