  • The church was paid for by Arkwright (the mill owner) when he lived in Dunstall hall. The church is very beautiful and the tower almost has a French castle flavour to it.
The church was designed by Andrew Capper.
There are three bells at Dunstall although the tower is big enough to house five bells comfortably.(with alteration to the clock mainly) The bells were cast in 1853 by Whitechapel (most rings in the area are Taylors) I believe that the bells have never been Simpson tuned but I am not 100% certain on that fact.
