Interesting broadcast, Chad Little in the booth. I did not care for him but Eli Gold and Buddy Baker were outstanding. I miss Buddy Baker in the booth, he was one of the best. Better than DW and his brother....
#LorenzoHaskins I agree to a point. Buddy and Neil Bonnet were great for those one liners and both were knowledgeable and entertaining. But for pure race calling, I'm a Ned Jarrett fan. Ned was low key but he knew the game. I like Eli Gold as well but he was more like Al Michaels or Bob Costas, broadcaster of all sports but expert at none, (though Eli Gold seemed to know NASCAR better than Michaels at least - and I only saw Michaels call one race).
Ned was very, very good in the booth. My favorite moment when he made the call when Dale and Dale were battling for the Daytona 500 win and Jarrett got it.
I would take Ned and Dale Jarrett, Buddy Baker, Parsons Brothers over those 2 in terms of former drivers in the booth. Harvick, Dillon, and Bowyer are better too. Darrell just had exciting calls while also contradicting himself a ton on live TV.
Never seen so many fans in seats as in 96’. Never seen so many teams so well sponsored before 96’. Never seen a wider disparity in point standings between 4th and 5th place in points going into Dover ,almost FOUR HUNDRED points between Labonte in 4th and Marlin in 5th. Sooooo much talent, Martin, Rusty, Schroeder, Petty and on and on not even in the ballpark at midway point of season was kinda sad. And puzzling. If anyone can tell me what the attendance of this race was id greatly appriciate it, looks like a sellout
Since they cut Dover to 1 Race a Year they need to put it back to 500 Miles. The races I have watched that were 500 miles here at Dover was good. They need to put it back to 500 Miles.
Well what I'm saying his son Jesse is driving the 97 in the k&n pro series & his dad sucked in that car. But (Chad) has a best finish of 2nd in that said 97 before the Kurt Busch Era from 2000-2005. So like I said Jesse might do 200% better than his fatha.

Eli Gold, best nascar announcer ever
This must have been a greatest race at Dover ever 4 JG.

Maybe 2nd best because Jeff Gordon led 381 of 400 in 2001 (95%)
That race at Dover ↑

The 42 had an interesting paint scheme that day.
Earnhardt Camo...
That paint scheme was actually a protest against Nascar for making Earnhardt get away with rough driving while others didn't, it worked.
THE Greatest I should say.
What do you use to convert you vhs tapes to file form?
Great man keep it up!
