Honestly I am so proud of this guy. My biggest insecurity is my accent, even though people say I don't have one if I get nervous I just start to speak with one and this guy is so sure of himself so comfortable so confident... Damn🙌🏻
An accent never disappears completely but I know what you mean, one can feel that is more noticeable when you are tired, nervous or excited. I got more confident the more I spoke and the less I cared about how I was doing it. Success.
I know. Especially living here in the US. I came to the US when I was 9 and had an Mexican accent. I worked so hard to try to get rid of the accent. Just so people can accept me.
I feel you man. My biggest insecurity back in the days was my accent but as years went by I started to realize that we’re all unique in this world so why trying to be somebody else just to fit in. So growing up in Orange County In California I had it tougher since people there were or still are very judgmental. But then I would see of our people that came from abroad like Shakira, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas just to mention a few and made it big in the states that kept me motivated to not give up...
..."An accent is just a mother tongue that refuses to let her child go." -The Star Spanglish Banner, Angélica María. Don't ever be ashamed of having an accent!
There's no such thing as not having an accent. If you don't have a Mexican one you might acquire an American, an English or a South African one instead, or make your own unique mix of any of them. Everyone has an accent and that's a beautiful thing, so many different songs and melodies.

peace and love Victor/aka the Latin Lover played the very real historical character of Profesor Zovek. So if you look him up you’ll see why he was cast. It was quite good casting. And I personally think he did great considering the footage I’ve seen of Prof Z As for the Halcones. A small group of soldiers were sent for training to the US but it’s unclear where they ended up (police/military/halcones) though US coded cables sent after the massacre imply US involvement and the fear of that becoming public.
peace and love So I’m not sure it’s wrong, it’s just unclear. But as with most things in Latin America at this time, the US had it’s dirty fingertips in most things, sadly. So I don’t agree it was unnecessary to briefly comment on the US role in meddling with Mexico during that time period.
I like this guy but I was wondering why he didnt ask the cast and producer of Roma to go up with him when they won for best Foreign film like the other directors. The producer of Roma was there beside with the actress playing the mother. Anyway, that's just my small complaint. I just wanted to see Yalitza go up on stage.

✋🏼👊🏼😀❤️ “I don’t have anything better to do so let’s do it” 🤪
Exactly my reaction when I was asked to audition. I had just moved to Mexico and was on "sabbatical". . I'm the "Asesor Militar Gringo". ;)
peace and love Victor/aka the Latin Lover played the very real historical character of Profesor Zovek. So if you look him up you’ll see why he was cast. It was quite good casting. And I personally think he did great considering the footage I’ve seen of Prof Z
As for the Halcones.
Alfonso Cuaron is The Master.
Where are these random castings that anyone can go to?
I know right??!!
Different casting agencies
Chris Jones you have to be invited to them, I believe.
Viva Alfonso Cuaron!!! 🌠
*GENIUS*
This movie deserves an OSCAR foreal!!!
*I think one day you'll find that you're the hero you've been looking for. ×*

Cecille Gultiano Yeah I noticed that too. Hopefully in the Oscars.
Just lovely, Alfonso, a great storyteller.. Congrats!
best harry potter director
This guy is a genius! I've seen all his movies, I loved "children of men, and "Gravity" The three best Mexican movie directors ever. Alfonso Cuaron, Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu and Guillermo Del Toro
