He didn’t even care about the money, obviously, considering the fact he let his dad basically keep it all.
All he wanted was his dad. That’s so sad.
Why are people so fucked up…
It really is I don't have that kind of relationship with my dad but I would have done it for my mother if she asked. (Obviously she would never ask me to do it) if mom said go and rob a bank broad daylight with a paper clip I'd probably have to do it lol
All his dad wanted was hoes🥴
Mum did right tho, she knew he was bad news. I don't believe men are necessary. I think they're good as sperm donors some of the time if they're deadbeats
There’s a video in your ads
Lol
Lmfao
😂😂
Lol

Based on how many ads there are I would think ive been robbed.
It's the reason I'm not going to watch this.
12 ads on a video that's mildly interesting.... time to unsub I reckon

Exactly. This.
"Some say being smart makes you cocky, it does it really does." man vice loved that quote dude, used it like 5 times XD
And they got caught very fast so obviously they were not smart!
Thanks Vice, I’ve been planning for months. This is really gonna help me.

Should be titled “When your Dad is the worst Bank Robber Ever”.
Did you watch the video?
@@stephenphilpott did u?
Hey, I did If it helps.
M. Torres I think he asked the question first. Why are you bothered
This documentary should be titled: We waste your time with our bad Show-Ads you wouldn't watch anyways every 10 minutes.
WTF VICE!?
I'll always find those tone-setting shots that documentaries have at the beginning of an interview to be a little funny. I think about how awkward it must be for the subjects, like, "Alright, I want you to stare straight forward sternly. Sterner! Good, good."
I like the determined walking ones the best. I always wonder where they're going.
Bro!!!!!!!
We think the same. Anything on film that doesn't seem natural makes me cringe
I did an internship at a big news channel in Germany. I was in different departments and for one week I also had to do interviews. We actually filmed those shots were people stare blankly or do "work". And I as the interviewer was just standing there for minutes thinking "wtd are we doing" while the camera man had to film a guy going through papers.
LMFAO
“He could charm you right out of your clothes”

Well duh that's why she said it

What I am wondering is how did Jr land a job in a bank out of the blue when he was spending his life drowning in hard drugs and alcohol?
Right?? Seems like someone stuck their neck out for him with the job offer and got burned badly

This should be titled “how to get caught robbing a bank”
For real like dude did so many things wrong
The dad is actually an idiot the son is a lot smarter in my opinion
As a former criminal and current Branch Manager of a bank, I can honestly say... you get more money and less time if caught robbing a bank with a pen than you do with a gun.
Only a real man would use a gun not a pen
Real men use pens
The realest don't get caught - with pen or gun...
@@cowperm 🤣🤣
Using a pen is paper trail homie 😂
When a child is desperate for a father's love! Young man just wanted his father's love!
@covid-19 you don't have a wife? Kids?
@covid-19 you are part of the problem on why men think they have to be tough instead of closure.
why did you say the same thing twice
Nah... it was money 💰
Saddest part......
I’m confused as to why he would rob his own bank ..it’s your father . A quick background check would confirm that , essentially linking you as a accomplice. I know they obviously got more money this way but damn your own bank ? This man got 60 k and only gave his sons $1,500 that’s the true crime here 😂
Don’t forget they also have the exact same name
Joi Sienna there were so many red flags well before the robbery lol
Ray and Tiyya yea but “being smart makes you cocky”. How about “thinking yourself smart and being cocky will get you in prison “
Plus They Stupidly Sent Money To Pay Another PoI Through Some Money Transfer Company... Epic Fail!
He wasn't supposed to get caught. He messed around and chilled with his girlfriend whom he likely also told before he hit the lick. It was all just stupid. He's supposed to get all the way out of there and stop communicating for s few months and then notify his son he's dropping the split off at a secluded location, rip the straps off, replace with rubberbands if he cares at all, wrap the money in a trashbag and bury it in the woods at a specific location. Anonymously mail the coordinates to his son. The son would then take a short vacation or day off, maybe the weekend and drive down or bus down to the area with luggage and dig at the coordinates, retrieve the money, place it in his luggage and finish his weekend and drive home. And that's just off the top of my head.
FBI Agent : Your dad robbed the bank you work at with a gun you purchased... ...Louis Jr: But I don’t know my dad ? FBI Agent: Seems Legit , you’re free to go.
But as he mentioned, he’s so smart....
🤣🤣🤣
Instructions unclear: the fbi is outside my house what do I do now?
Back door and run for dear life. Don't forget the poptarts.
🤣🤣🤣
call your dad? make sure you still have your very special rare gun?

I worked at an in store bank that got robbed. A lady with a big sunflower hat and sunglasses sat down, handed a note to one of the tellers that said to give her all the money in the till. She got it and left with no issue and never got caught.
How much she get? She didn't have like an or else and they just gave it to her
sounds badass.
i work but its not enough might have to be a girl and randomly try that
Every robber: "WRITE THAT DOWN WRITE THAT DOWN!"
34:35 It's always a booty call that gets you....
Moral of the story: Fathers, please don't ask your son to help you rob a bank. Kids if your father says let's rob a bank, please say no, thank you!
But it's fun and I've gotten 300k from it!
My favorite part is the part where they get matching bracelets In order to show their bond in the same activities
You just can hear in his dad's voice at the end. He's conning him, the whole "now that he's in prison he's nicer". Dont buy it
Your probably right
Perfect timing on this video! Coronavirus got me broke and desperate.

I LIKE THAT YOU SHOWED THAT THE SON TURNED IT AROUND AFTER GETTING OUT OF JAIL, HE SEEMED LIKE A GOOD DUDE WHO JUST WANTED THE LOVE OF A FATHER AND NOW HE IS A FATHER ON THE RIGHT PATH, NICE ENDING, I LOVE VICE VIDEOS

@@paulgabel1845 *naive
Can't say I feel bad for him, it seems like he was an adult when he started doing this. If my parent was going to rob an bank, I would be more inclined to report them.

I always love the end of Vice bios like these, these extraordinary people with stories you might not even believe all end up being our ordinary neighbors, people we all could relate to. It really makes you realize how little you can judge from first impressions, and how much of an experience life is for us all individually...
Feel this man’s pain. Dad left me at 2 got addicted to coke and heroin. Started robbing ppl, convenient stores. Tried a local small bank caught a shooting with intent to kill on a police officer. Been out of prison a year. Wasn’t worth it.

So many similarities to my dad and our relationship. Glad jr is smart enough to stay away from that criminal life and be a good father. Nothing is worth your freedom.
Damn Jonah Hill got more hustles than we even knew

One of my top 5 episodes, easy.... Part 1 is nerve rattling!!! This one sums it all up
That library cart brings back memories. Highlight of my week. It was like jailhouse blockbuster video. Had never read a book till I got locked up. Ended up reading like 100 of them in there.

@@DR_Cod1228 your story is crazy!
@@DR_Cod1228 CPS better have a good track on your kid before you turn him into yet another in the family line of criminals. WT.
Just one among many things that proves that USA is a land of filth, degeneracy and criminal activity.
Watching your country get fucked over and pushed into the dirt would be a pleasure for all the pain you assholes cause both each other and on a international scale.
Bank managers are the best bank robbers.
Very useful information. Wish me luck!
Thanks I've been looking to follow in the family footsteps
That stpry of his pops not showing up hit me in the damn heart. Anyone who's been thru childhood trauma understands that feeling. Being young, alone, mad, and scared. No one to turn to except yourself and sometimes the only answer is to break bad. Those moments as youths define us, the moments that you go thru alone - hurting - shape so much of who we are as adults. It's insane how much damage can be done by shitty parents.
Certainly j was mad and kinda felt alone because my dad left when I was 4 years old so I had those memories of my dad going hunting, fishing, and out to Grandma's house but I was mad how he basically betrayed my mom and left US after 14 years of them being together... What's so sad about it all was that my mom still tried to have me have a relationship with my dad and on the flip side my dad kept blaming my mom saying that she was trying to keep me from him and that's the reason I didn't want to be with him... So I quickly learned what kind of dad my dad was and decided I'm just better off without that kind of thinking in my life
What trauma? He had everything
Thanks all for watching!
how's law school.?
Is the documentary realistic or far out?
I hope all goes well for you going forward

When your dad is a convicted bank robber and has the same name as you.... and he calls himself smart? Lmfao
No kidding, I worked in a prison and those there are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
So we just gonna go over the fact he went to jail for drug trafficking, gets 3 months, get a job as a bank manager, robs the bank and get 2 years. Then he gets out and is attempting to become a lawyer. America is truly the greatest country on earth.
Land of many opportunities for some..lol

@@workemail6283 Word. The fact that he even got a job at a bank after gettin locked up for drug trafficking a perfect example of good ol American white privilege.
i‘m glad that i‘m not the only one who noticed it and linked it to white privilege.
Great Story!! Anyone can change their life around!
I guess JR got his time spent with his father like he always wanted. His mom tried keeping him away from destruction, he was just soo rebellious and wanted trouble soo badly, he hooked with his father to see what it was about. Lesson learned!
