It doesn't seem like anyone else has pointed it out, but at 4:25 or so, you said that the encased fan is going at max speed. This does not make it wash the gravel faster, it just makes the fan blow farther. To make it wash faster you can use multiple fans pointed toward the depot.
With the precision mechanism, you can now make rotational speed controllers to speed certain parts of your factory up by a lot, even if the regular steam engine only produced a small amount of RPM.

I've been playing create for a couple years now and after watching your first video of this series i started playing create mekanized. It wasn't until i saw you put the casing on the gears that i knew you could do that to make the gears not attach to each other. 🤦♂️ Will make things a bit easier and compact.

Is there any word on when version 1.5 will hit curseforge, i would like to know how much time i have to re-do my whole pretty pipes setup i have spanning my whole factory setup so i can access my item vaults filled to the brim with items.

You can feed them biofuel, get the same effect as blaze cakes
Is there a way to make renewable destabilized redstone, like in Create: Above and Beyond?
There are a couple of ways using either potions or netherwart but I'm avoiding them at the moment 😂

From my understanding, it's "basically done" so I should think within the next week or so, but of course, you only need to update when you want to 😊
