I think it could be one of them bikes that's just happier with it's air box. Otherwise good quality pods with some restrictions in them could work I guess. Enjoying this one Nat. Seeing the progress over time is great. It's really starting to look and sound like a bike.
A lot of the carbs from that era had instructions not to adjust mixture screws to satisfy US EPA rules. Some of them had blanking caps which have to be drilled out.
Comit don’t buy cheap air filters Nat. I have used them twice now. Don’t work i use more expensive ones . And they work with upgraded jets. Take care Nat
Same thing happened on my XJ, I just welded up the holes in the junction and then wrapped from the junction up to the can I did mig it which isn’t ideal but it did work it just didn’t look professional
AGM batteries can usually be mounted at any angle, because all the acid is absorbed into glass matting. I thought the rule change was that any vehicle in historic class can have a black number plate.
I am going lithium for the size I think. The first rule change was that any historic vehicle could have a black plate but that was a mistake and they have rectified it so it's only pre 1980.
My new trike can have a back and silver plate... 🧐🤣 Easiest way with the electrics is rip the lot out and start again. You can build your battery and electric box then wire it up to suit. Edit. Float set too high would cause high revs, fuel gets sucked straight into the engine through the butterfly. But also worth checking that if you have a mechanical advance that it isn't stuck. 95% of carb problems are electrical.
The loom is coming out to sort the frame so that's pretty much what I will end up doing I think. I will check on the floats as I have raised them. Cheers dude.
nice sentiments towards the end there Nat, that's why we all watch you and enjoy your content 👍
Cheers dude. I appreciate that!

Definitely decent pods on this one. I think most of the problems caused on other builds are by going for cheap ones that don't get the flow right.
Motorbike Jackanory, love it! Loads of info (and choices/decisions) great stuff. Non alcoholic cheers, Andy.
Thanks mate! 👍
Thanks nat, , , 🏍👍👍👍👍
Wow, words! Cheers dude.

I just find it weird that the book contradicts itself.

I have ended up hacking so much out of the inner lining of cheap pods that there is barely any left. Won't be doing that again!
You should be OK with the pods on there own Nat ,I was wondering what the popping sound was until you pointed out the hole👍
It's a little disappointing but hey, they were cheap!

I am sure that I can patch it up!
nice one Nat
Glad you enjoyed it.

💪🏍️😁
just got one, the airbox was cut off. what did you do with the line that shoots oil out? Thank you
There really shouldn't be a line shooting oil anywhere near the airbox mate
does that motocycle have a cdi box
Cdi or ecu, yes. I do get them confused
I bought a Li Ion battery recently it actually felt like an empty cardboard box, I’m not joking.
I have heard that before mate. Looking forward to the experience.
First
Back on top!
Just swap the plate out at MOT time.
What mot? It doesn't need one!
@@NatsNackersYard Even better.
