look at this page to learn about double leaf switch.

Love watching your videos, you show so much detail. Thank you for putting this together and sharing it.
One should invest to dual leaf switches to enable support for staged flippers. This is supported in Whirlwind and blood machines at least. Many other games IRL have those.
Thank you for the suggestion. And TY for all those tables you are creating.
it was the bracket... Man you saved me lol. I had ordered all the parts before seeing this, snagged a 1 3/8 clear red button which was surprisingly hard to find, but I wanted specifically that, and the bracket I got with it was specifically meant for like, atari arcade boards, where the panel itself was super thin, so the bracket was really tall to compensate. Printing that out now, cause man, even those gold leafs dont beat the real leafs lol.
nice little upgrade, love the tweaking, that's how you fix stuff when you want it done now and not having to wait for another 3d print version
Yeah, i will reprint one and show how to actually modify it.
You're killing it with the content for ALP. I don't need one but now I want to build on!
Haha. Hey take your time, the videos are not going away
It's not just the hole size that's an issue with fitting the pinball buttons. There are small plastic tabs where the button contacts the side of the machine. These are for alignment on a real machine, but unnecessary for the ALP. I had to use an exacto knife to carefully cut these little tabs off so the button would sit flush.
Great tip. Tx
I'm a little confused, why did you put the LED-Board on top of the button holder? This will block most of the light from reaching the transparent button, also there's the danger of breaking the pretty thin LED-Board. The LED-Board goes between the cabinet wall and the button holder, just like Arnoz shows in his video: ruclips.net/video/Ao6XShP0UNQ/видео.html
Thanks for the comment. There will be a part 2 of this video when i get to the actual board being connected with the ALED . that's why i mentioned i might print it with transparent filament which deflects the light amazingly. But you are correct, arnoz installs it right against the cabinet instead of on top of the holder.
I am super interested in installing led buttons for my Legends Pinball. I need to learn how to do that.
Keep watching, i've yet done it.
Love the videos, have to say your the reason I'm going with the ALP which I just ordered from Sams Club. Was going to build one but for my first one I figure this would be a good start, and looking at your guides so far is just awesome. So again I thank you. Now for a question why go with the MX button vs the RGB button, and does it really matter. Since I don't see a final product I cant tell if one would be better then another for any reason. Thanks again for all you do.
It does not make a big difference. RgB buttons will be as good. That's tje one i picked up from Arnoz but RGB are fine. Probably easier to program too. ALED needs to be added to your cabinet file and RGB does not.
@@MajorFrenchy is that the RGB button from Arnoz the same one you are saying would be easier? I may just get the MX button and try to follow you to a T on this, but figured it may be awesome to have more options on the colors. Also Arnoz has the 3D support button, but I saw a comment about double leaf switches would that be better to put in anyway and would you need the support button still then? They seem a bit thicker in comparison. Which again would be a deviation from what your doing, and again may be better I stay on track with what your doing till I understand more of the gadgets and gizmos this community uses.
I found an ALP for under $500. It's cool, but I never play it because I like VPX tables so much more and the menu system makes no sense. Are you preserving the ALP system or are you going to go full VPX? I'm considering ripping out the ALP stuff and making it a mini VPX table.
You can EASILY play VPX, Future pinball and FX3 on the ALP. Just connect a USB and HDMI cable from your PC to it and go into OTG mode. It's great.
I've finally taken the plunge and purchased these leaf switches. When you disconnected the wires from the stock buttons, were any special tools needed? Just want to make sure i dont damage the wires when i install mine...
No special tools. If you notice that ths wire does not come off the old button, use a pointy object to push down on the button pin to release it.
@@MajorFrenchy Sounds good...thank you!
Nice video. Is a leaf switch better in any way than a miscroswitch one for a pinball cabinet? I'm not talking about the touch feeling, I'm curious about the speed.
Yes, absolutely, you can set the sensibility of the switch by moving the legs
Can you tell me which leaf switch you bought? Pinball life has a bunch of them and I have no idea which one to get.

u didnt want to just print new 3d pieces with taller bases?
I could have, and probably will, just thought i would show a quick way to adjust. Not everyone has a 3d printer. There are also different size/thickness available for sale. That would definitely be the #1 choice. Ty for the comment
I can't find anyone selling leaf switches right now.
Pinball life, marco speciality, pinball medic also check the vpforums virtuapin store.
Hi MF. Do you have any suggestions for 3D printers under $200 that would print this leaf button holder? Thanks so much for your awesome videos! I'm an eraly subscriber of yours all the way back to Mame in a BOX. Well done@!
A lot of people have the ender 3 or 5. Lots of support, good quality and within your budget. We have a dedicated 3d printing channel on the VPC discord. Check this video , He is talking about getting started. ruclips.net/video/voAZgzUZjQ8/видео.html
Too much squeeze for the juice.
What do you mean?
@@MajorFrenchy I mean that seems like a lot of work to install that button.
But it is worth it. Leaf buttons are so superior. And the addressable led makes it super cool
I'll take your word for it. Your instructional videos have been invaluable on myh first VP build. I started about about 2 weeks ago and I should be done soon. I couldn't have done it without you. @@MajorFrenchy
Thanks for the support by being a youtube member by the way, much Appreciated.
