Hey Yves, we love your videos. By the way, the gathering you saw with the horses and Ethiopian flag was not a festival but funeral. That is why they were telling you not to record. Also, at the first hotel you visited (on your way from Dembecha to Debre Markos), there was a misunderstanding between you and the hotel waitresses when they said ‘alqowal’ in Amharic. You thought they were saying ‘alcohol’ but they were saying ‘alqowal’ which means ‘it is finished’ or we are out of rooms 😀😀. I can’t wait for the coming videos, on your way yo Dejen and then Addis. Keep up the good work. Stay blessed and safe bruh !!!!

Now I imagine the women when he was saying: yes, yes, alcohol (very likely they thought he said/meant "alqowal"), but I want a room. Funniest video so far in this channel xd. His approaching the gathering with horses was funny too, crossing the fields and frightening the horses. And now it turns out people had a reason to be super serious, I am sorry for the death.

Hotel means anything in Ethiopia, particularly in the area you are in. Next time, if you wish to ask for a room, ask them for AL-GA ( the second syllable, GA, sounds the same as GA in Garage. Hence you may ask 'alga alle?' Means '' is there a room?'' Alga literally means bed.
