Shiratorizawa Academy (Japanese: 白鳥沢しらとりざわ学園がくえん Shiratorizawa Gakuen) is a high school in Sendai, the capital of the Miyagi Prefecture. Since the entrance exam is extremely difficult, most students get in by studying vigorously or through sport scholarships.
Said by Ushijima, "you should have come to Shiratorizawa" is one of the backbone memes of Haikyuu. But what would happen if Oikawa REALLY went to Shiratorizawa? Could they beat Haikyuu?!

I think we can all agree that Hinata and Oikawa are the real dream team! Well at least on the beach.
No disrespect to your opinion but shiratorizawa would walk all over Karasuno if oikawa joined them let’s agree the oikawa real skill is making everyone better and strategies which mean everyone on shiratorizawa would be better and they would have strategies unlike they did when playing karasuno their only play was give it to ushigima. I’m not saying they would win nationals but they would destroy Karasuno.
agreed,, having a powerful spiker-setter combo is a great foundation in volleyball, even in real life. haikyuu's top 2 teams in Itachiyama and Inarizaki both have powerful setter-spiker combos, with Itachiyama having Sakusa (top 3 spiker) and Tsukasa (best setter in junior olympics) while Inarizaki having Atsumu (arguably the best genius-level setter in the series) and ojiro (top 5 spiker). having an oikawa - ushijima tandem with oikawa giving ushijima boosted stats will most likely give shiratorizawa a good matchup for itachiyama and inarizaki and a permanent place in the top 5 schools in japan. karasuno would never have gone to the nationals that year for sure.
Okay first of all you clearly missed the main straight of Oikawa, and according to Ushijima, that is to bring the best potential in anyone. If Oikawa did go to Shiratorizawa and he was successful in strengthening the team, there's a high chance that the stats of the team would almost double making them unstoppable that could make them win the nationals. 😐
I mean the part that Aoba Johsai lost to Karasuno in a practice match just because Oikawa wasn't there speaks volumes how their main strength is Oikawa. They lost to Karasuno even without their amazing libero Noya and their ace Asahi. Also the fact that they probably just won the set because it was Hinatas first practice match so he was a wrecked.
@@toruoikawa8347 even without asahi they got kageyama bruh. kageyama is a top-tier talent even during his rookie year in karasuno. obviously they will win because seijoh at that time does not have a genius-level player that can match up against kageyama and hinata

Oikawa is literally the best setter as an all rounder with serving and blocking etc and he can also bring the best out of his team as seen with the college kids he wouldve brought the best out of tendou and ushijima just imagine him being at a higher level then he was in the finals honestly i reckon shiratorizawa would devastate karasuno oikawas serves rack up points aswell dont forget and if they are down the have a cannon that can get u an easy point just my opinon tho
but u forgot that oikawa's special ability is "make all his teammates the best" so wouldn't you actually just multiply shiratorizawa's stats by adding him to the lineup thus making them invincible???? :D

From a volleyball player’s perspective, stats are defo not enough. A star setter with a great opposite is insane. The sheer variety of plays and are immense. They can go far a 5, 4, tres, combination plays, double quicks (simultaneous A quick from the middle and back quick with the opposite) and backrow sets to ushijima as well. Knowing Oikawa he could pull off all those as well. Adding to that, replacing a relatively average server shirabu with an insane server like oikawa, a relatively mediocre defensive team like Karasuno would get crush in serve-receive. Serving is arguably the most important aspect of the game. With the insane amount of attack power those two bring as a settter-spiker duo as well as server, they would definitely beat Karasuno in my opinion.
Completely ignores the fact that Oikawa's true talent is bringing out the best from ALL of his teammates.
People can't just block Ushijima anymore, it has to be all of his spikers bc the attack can come from anyone.
At least oikawa would get to go to nationals before karasuno defeated them
All of these are theoretical at best but oikawa's seijoh stats would adjust if he was in shiratorizawa. (he's exposed to better players and can join to all-japan trainings) Same with the other members of the team since oikawa will help them pull their 120% best.
In conclusion, they're basically a canon to reckon with.
