  • Today's video is a quick review of the Eastwood Concours LT100. This is the gun we used to spray Mel's 350z last video. When I was shopping around for a good gun to use with low CFM compressors I couldn't find any decent reviews on any of them, so here are my thoughts on the Concours LT100. Let me know if you've got any questions!

    So the gun is actually on sale right now for 20 bucks off so if you're in the market now might be a good time to buy! www.eastwood.com/concours-lt-hvlp-paint-gun-1-3mm-51275.html

      @@Donthepoolboy Everything is so much more expensive than it was a year ago. Inflation is killing us. Hopefully, we can get this supply chain under control and the costs will start coming back down again.

    Cool review man!..got me one if these and learned to spray like a pro with it and your right the only downfall is it’s trigger..stiff and now enough travel..what worked really well for me if it’ll help anyone out is 1 1/2 to 2 turns out on the fluid needle from closed and 23 psi for base and 26 psi for clear works every time

    I bought one last year sprayed great not a big fan pattern but still lays down I have to narrow the pattern to keep from having dry spots especially with primer highly recommended 👍

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 года назад +1

      Yeah you definitely can't run the fan super wide, it's very hard to beat this gun at the price point. Especially for beginners or hobbyists.

    Thanks for this awesome vid, this video just helped me make up my mind about the LT100.👍🏽
    I'm also getting the 1.7 tip that cost more than the spray gun itself 😂

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 года назад

      Glad you found the video helpful. I have the 1.3 and 1.5 tips I haven't used the larger tip yet, although I think with some 2k primers you need a 1.8 or 2.0 tip. So the 1.7 might be useful there. Either way, you go this gun is hard to beat for its price.

    I bought this gun and could not get the lid to stop leaking out of the threads... did your lid have an o-ring or some type of seal?

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 года назад

      Mine didn't have anything around the threads. The only thing I noticed that mine has in the lid is like a paper gasket that sits inside the threads and around the vent. I haven't had anything leak out of the threads, only out of the vent when I had almost a full cup and tilted the gun to far and it leaked out there. The cup is a cheap design though, I'll likely be upgrading mine soon.

      @Mechneck1973 3 года назад +1

      @@MikeTW yeah, I ordered a new cup with disposable liners. Because no matter how much I tried... paint would pour out of the cup threads...

      @thisone. 2 года назад

      The gun specs state 4.5 cfm at 30psi. So less air at lower psi settings.

    How was the atomisation ,did youre compresor keep up im thinking of buying one

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 года назад

      Atomization is good at about 25-30 psi. I’ve used both slow and medium reducer/activator both work fine. My smaller compressor seemed to have no issues. It did run a lot but I never noticed a difference in the spray pattern from the gun.

    They do say you should at least have a 30 gallon tank

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 года назад

      As long as your compressor can handle 4.5 CFM at 30psi you should be fine. Most home compressors 20gallons or better have no issues.

      I was about to say that, it also look just like Summitracing LVLP that i have. The summitracing lvlp is a sprayit 33000 clone, so these 3 are the same.
