    Kyle Hayes has been outstanding in four consecutive games. Understated and underrated because of well known circumstances, but his hurling is unquestionable 👍

    Wexford fielding of the high ball today was exceptional.....They could trouble Limerick if they ever meet....What a great game in Nowlan Park. From a KK man ,and if anyone asks my pedigree my first all Ireland was 1973...we were wet.,but a great game today.

    QUESTION..on Limericks losses post 2019.
    Reflecting on the Munster round robin, the “data” would indicate Saturday night games do not suit Limerick. Across the last three years, they have Won 1 & lost 2. If you factor in this year’s league semifinal v Kilkenny, it’s three losses.
    Is this an area for other teams to explore going forward?
    Saturday April 23, 2022 - Win
    Limerick 0-30 - 2-21 Waterford
    Saturday April 29, 2023 - loss
    Limerick 2-20 - 1-24 Clare
    Saturday May 10, 2023 - loss
    Limerick 3-26 - 3-28 Cork

    Great win for Dublin in Salthill. It's a strange one as Galway are a more powerful force in hurling in general but we have a very good record in matches against Galway. Think we've won nearly twice as many games. It was a sweet one all the same.
    Personally i thought the red was very harsh but as soon as David Burke was ordered off the field i fancied we'd do it.
    Looking forward to Leinster final now where we dont have such a goid record v Kilkenny but not many do in fairness.
    The final is a Saturday evening game with Joe McDonagh Cup final on as a curtain raiser so nice double header to head into Croke Park.

    Limerick v Clare third Munster final on the trot. Final fixed for Thurles i think. I have a sneaky feeling that Clare will finally get to end their Munster famine.

    • @YoutubeStandardLicense
      @YoutubeStandardLicense 4 месяца назад +2

      Not so sure. Clare are very disjointed. They are struggling in the third quarter, especially their puckouts. They allowed cork to boss them and needed the card , allowed waterford back into it a few times, collapsed in the limerick match and were very off colour against Tipp yesterday. Just get the feeling they are slightly regressed after their league form. It's hard to know but both limerick and clare haven't been great, but they are the ones in the Munster final.

    Talking about fine margins for waterford. The cork penalty against limerick effectively knocked out waterford. Kiely questioned the quick pick out that lead to that goal. I understand that refs aren't machines and will make mistakes, but there seems to be a lot of talk this year about ref decisions and now a lot of players going to be sitting at home watching the championship, hinging on questionable decisions. There needs to be an avenue to at least ask questions of refs, even post match. They are too immune from scrutiny while good players are sitting quietly at home cos of bad decisions. It's wrong that a poor or biased ref can finish a team's season with no repercussions

    Why did he say Cork would be on same side as Munster champions and Wexford on same side as Leinster champions . If Cork and Wexford make semis and Limerick and Kilkenny are the provincial winners wouldnt Cork play Kilkenny and Wexford play Limerick as the intent is not to have repeats of games in the provinces . If it was Cork and Clare then Cork would play Limerick and Clare play Kilkenny as you can’t have repeat of provincial final.

    • @rorymcmahon7135
      @rorymcmahon7135 4 месяца назад +2

      The losers of the provincial finals get that arrangement. So if Clare lose they are on Kk side and if Dublin lose they are on Limerick side. But you can’t also fit teams who don’t make the provincial finals into this as there aren’t enough teams to ensure no repeats.

    Henry will leave Galway . He never looked relaxed on the sideline for Galway .
    Galway need to put a Galway man in charge . They have the hurlers but there is no discipline . They need to look after their own affairs .
    Joe Canning said the team had no game plan . Let him try his hand at it, and he just might .💚

      Well as someone still playing who played with the older and now newer sliothars, the newer ones are lighter and easier to hand pass whereas the weight of the older ones you had to palm them more due to their weight so it looked like more like a separation.

      Deffo penalty in the first half..that's the way...ref poor.....favoured Wexford in the first half and tried to make it right in the second half....Wexford are good enough but remember 2019 when they had Tipp by the Throat and lost in the semi....they need to believe... Get Mr Griffin back for a team talk....He is a Mr Motivator.

      Ref was absolutely shocking he was no where near the play making calls.. no way was that a penalty and yes should been one for pull down of keoghan in first half.. few times tj was throwing himself to the ground after over carrying and was given a free.. but I agree it seemed like he favoured Wexford first half and tried make amends

    ColmLyons should not be allowed into the same field as Limerick. Arrives with an agenda ever time...as mentioned above, he is 16th man for opposition. Don't have much time for Liam Ggordon or James Owens (they both miss a lot) either but not as bad as Lyons. Time to bring back John Keenan.

    Hegarty should have been awarded apenalty around 25th mnute and bla
    ck card to Waterford player who tripped him. Also should be red card to Prendergast for double hit on Tom Morrissey. Head but with helmet and butted Tom with hurley in the in the groin in the
    same movement. Possible penaltyhere also..not sure how far out he was when foul was committed.

    • @alanfit77
      @alanfit77 4 месяца назад

      Biggest cheer of the day was when he was awarded a free over by the open stand, what is clear is unless he is clearly rugby tackled to the ground he is never going to get a free, would be interesting exercise to compare Hego with the likes of Shane O'Donnell and compare amount of frees awarded.

    •  4 месяца назад +2

      Any opinion on Kyle Hayes blindly swinging his hurl back and hitting a Waterford player in the neck? Or would it just be the fouls against Limerick you have a problem with?

      Morrissey start it and then played down like a child. He has no place on a hurling field. I am glad the ref ignored him. Should have booked him for wasting time.
