  • It's episode two of The Square Ball and Lee Keegan and Dave McIntyre are joined by former Tyrone midfielder and three-time All-Ireland winner Seán Cavanagh.
In a hugely revealing interview, Seán details some of the toughest moments of his career and the consequences those moments had on him and his family.
He opens up about the glory days with Tyrone - where he won three All-Ireland Football titles - his relationship with Mickey Harte and, of course, the battle with Lee in the 2016 All-Ireland Football quarter-final.
No subject was off the table as Seán discussed...
    • The lows following his 2016 sending off against Mayo (00:05:10),
    • His relationship with his father (00:18:45),
    • The moment he wanted to quit GAA in 2005 (00:27:00),
    • The fallout from his challenge on Conor McManus in the 2013 All Ireland quarter-final (00:57:28)
    ... and much, much more.
The Square Ball is a new weekly show, powered by William Hill.
Make sure to check out the first episode of The Square Ball, where the lads were joined by Kerry's four-time All-Ireland winner Darran O'Sullivan.

Brilliant interview with Sean. Really honest and open about himself. Amazing, even when Tyrone won he still questioned his contribution, and what he could have done better. He came across as someone that didn't enjoy playing because he was too driven and it consumed him. His family life suffered as a result.

Seán was a fantastic player. It's certainly true that OTHER members of that Tyrone team engaged in some very cynical stuff. They regularly dished out similar treatment to what he experienced in that match he spoke about. Well he knows it.!

Spitting and biting is not 'hard' man stuff, it's pure thuggery; simple as! .....

Sean might have been a good footballer but he is not a man in my eyes.
