How to make Hawaiian style or Local Style beef stew

I know many would like to ask what is "local Style" beef stew? The main difference between regular beef stew and local style beef stew is that local style has a more tomato based broth. Both are delicious, but give this one a try. I know you'll love it!!!
Ingredients:
3 pounds of cubed chuck roast
1 russet potato (rough chop)
3 large carrots (chopped)
3 stalks of celery (chopped)
1 large onion (rough chopped)
1 15 oz can of tomato sauce
4 tbsp of tomato paste
32 oz of beef broth
1 1/2 cups of water
3 tbsp of all purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste

Recipe is simple to make, me knows how to make my own stew; I'll even include & try different styles I grew up with. Tripe stew, chicken stew, pork stew; even octopus stew, clear/tomato sauce stew, & curry: brown, green, & red.

My bf only likes the soupy beef stew served at Sekiya's on Kaimuki Ave. I think it's a Hilo style and your recipe looks very close to it. Thank you very much for your easy to follow video!

thank you brother, about how long does it usually take to get fork tender with the full pot? I been reading it's like 1hour simmer minimum after everything's together
