Hi:) Great video! Is it possible to buy tabs for specific songs (rock like hard rock, AOR and MHR)? That would be really great. Please answer me on my e-mail: sgriberg@gmail.com Best regards Søren
"... Again, this is one of my licks now..." I saw Led Zeppelin four times in the 70s and Page never played it as well as you just did. And he whacked in all kinds of sloppy licks that were... "just one of his licks" BTW... You show scales and right hand discipline really pay off. I know. Here in Austin I was in school with Eric Johnson so that was the the standard all us guitarists had to live up to. A lot of really good pickers came out of west Austin from that era.
AMAZING how you can remember Jimmy's complete riff package in this song! Alot to chew on and digest. The basics I can handle...Jimmy🤔 The Master Of The Pull Offs! Cant keep up! Das 😎 all! ❤👍👏👏👏
Love seeing someone else use their pinky for power chords, I no longer feel as alone as I once did. Your lessons are fantastic, by the way. Keep up the great work.
Marko Siklich You’re not alone. It’s really common, and even if it wasn’t. Be yourself. Maybe you’ll do something no one else has ever done before. 🤘🏻😍
I've been playing the drums like Bonham's and Buddy Rich's set since 1975 and I played guitar for about 2 years on and off and Your lesson here is the best one I've ever seen or heard. Great Job Brother!
This is rare man. A channel with a LOT of videos breaking songs down in a simple way like this! This is what I need! I saw u on insta a while back doin the 12 days of Zeppelin and now here I am.
Wow. Blown away by this lesson. You really know this song very well and all the subtleties and are an amazing guitar player, shredding through these riffs and making it look easy. Thank you for taking the time to do this lesson.👍👍❤️❤️🎸🎸
Great lesson Spedd. Been done lots before but your attention to detail and excellent theory explanation really sets it apart from the rest. More Zep lessons would be appreciated plus more on how to make "riff-face"
Thanks for this comment man! Tried to reply before but the app was being a shit! I do sometimes get concerned that they've all been done before but most of my other Zep tutorials are quite popular so I will probably just continue!
You’re the first one who explains in detail what happens after that little bend -between the two and four. I think everybody else is just winging it / you explain a very specific picking pattern which I like
By far the best videos along with the tabs that I purchased through his Patreon. He really should have 500,000 followers. He should call this full electric guitar lessons for dummies as he makes it incredibly easy to understand.
Nice I have been practicing this song for an age. I had the notes, but until I saw how your describe the picking strokes it never sounded right. Quite a revelation for me! And to top it off it is actually easier to play, because it seems to just flow naturally. I'm still shite at it, but am definitely in the way now - thanks!
I could watch and practice Jimmy Page licks all day everyday and still never replicate his incredible sense of timing. It is like a gift from the gods.
Thanks for a Great lesson in R & R. You have an awesome sense of Rhythm in your hands especially the Right. Most guitar players have a Weak Right hand which is, as you know Essential, for Solid Rhythm playing. Hats off Rock Star, and Keep on Rockin'
Freakin "A" man! All the details just make it. It's not just a lesson, it's inspiration. Thanks alot. Never enough Zeppelin. A lesson on Ronnie Montrose, Rock Candy, perhaps? Your channel, whatever you want. Haha.
Good stuff, mate! I was reading your comment where you were happy with 1,000 views of this video. You’ve got to be over the moon with 162,000-plus now! Rock on! 🎸
I really like your take on the solo, lots of jimmy sounds in the abstract, very nice versional break down it works for me well, keep up the good playing and teaching.❤❤
Thank you! I appreciate that.🤝🏻 It’s weird when I hear the track now because Jimmy’s solo is obviously different in places but because I’ve got my own version and play at the same way every time, I almost trick myself into thinking the song is now wrong. 😂😂😂
Great teacher! Love the way he plays Rock and Roll versus some others but once I get this stuff down. Up and down. I've come up with some extra spots where I can really double it up but that's going to be a little secret until I'm completely finished learning it exactly the way he plays it first.
Sped I want to say thank you for this lesson I’m exhausted learning just this one but you got to teach it record it edit it mix it that’s a lot And not only that these are top tier lessons So thank very much👊🤟
Hi Sped, Aloha. I’m from Hawai’i and I love your site! I’m learning a lot with my new Les Paul from your lessons. Thanks so much for sharing your blessings with me and others. Keep those jammin licks coming. Bless you!! Nick 👍🏽🕊
Thank you for your great explanation of the licks. You do a great job explaining the why. It makes alot of sence about the fluidity of it with the stroke pattern. When you did the example of just the down stroke it actually changed the vibe of the song. kind of more AC⚡DC sounding that way.
Rich J Amazing. Glad you found that useful, and also that it makes sense. When I describe these things I don’t profess to be completely perfect but I’m just explaining my actions and reasons behind them as best as possible. If you guys get something out of that too then that’s awesome. 🤘🏻😎
I never comment on tutorials but this time, I have to give it to you. This is an excellent video, thank you so much! I couldn't for the life of me figure out the riff and you explained it perfectly And you even explained the theory behind the tritone licks I'm ecstatic lmao thank you
You're very welcome! Always nice to hear from people who really find use in these lessons. I try my best to make them clear, educational and fun at the same time.
Great lesson, I like the riffs you added and the break down makes it really easy to build the sections lock them in and speed it up. Lots of great techniques to learn here and showing the timing when you count it off very helpful. I know in some of Zeppelin's songs Jimmy does some cleaver things with the timing. Thank you, your teaching style works for me, you make it easy to understand musically and technically 👏👍🤘🎸😎
Sped, been playin since ‘77 and ain’t goin’ out on a limb when I say that your teaching style is the apex. The sun is about to come up and the wife comes out of the bedroom, “wtf ya doin?” I said this cool British dude is showing me how to play the high 7ths in Rock n Roll correctly. “Well, ok..Ya comin’ t’bed?”
...dear Mr Sped,... love your content, style and sense of humour. My personal fav' Jimmy track is Prison Blues off The Firm album... I've tried to work it out myself but I'm just crap at it... so, fingers crossed for a 'Sped does Prison Blues' guitar lesson, sometime soon... keep Rockin!
Stumbled onto this, my first video with you. Thought it was great, very clear with good use of repetition/reinforcement and great playing, highlighting the importance of the right hand just as much as the left! I've subscribed and look forward to watching more, learning and maybe signing up for lessons if you do them. I'm a huge Zep fan and can't wait to master this - though as a beginner, I'm really struggling with it at the moment. Thanks man, I will persevere! It just sounds so good, how can I not?!

`Pagey is winging this solo in the studio for sure. The vibe is there for a "one off" Sped, d`ya know what I mean?
Finally somebody who gets it, somebody who actually knows how to give a lesson a full lesson at that
Thanks Frank, glad you liked it! 🤘🏻😎

Thank you, nobody else showed those double stops and I couldn't for the life of me figure it out! You're a legend.
It’s the little details right? I’m glad that explanation of the chords they came from helped too. Just following the progression. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
The up / down stroke at 3:54 is a nice touch and ties the rhythmic riff together for me. Really feel the vibe with those two strokes. Thanks.
The best tutorial I've watched, thank you.

Greatest Zepplin teacher of all time. A man who genuinely loves Zeppelin and wishes to honor them thusly.

I think the short videos sharing some licks is a very good idea.
