I just randomly came across this video... I'm prior service US Army 15 years. There are so many practical applications to this with paracord and survival techniques. Especially after watching some of your other videos!!!
I love sewing & carpentry. (I'm not your typical manly-man! 🤣) Keep up the the good work!

When someone like me watching the video is clueless and you say something like it’s “ it’s self-explanatory” please remember that I’m here for you to explain it to me thank you.

I've wondered about how this really worked. Currently working on my first cord. Thank you for a clear, easy to follow lesson.

I actually just bent the middle two tines of a metal fork and, after watching this... I've actually been working with embroidery thread... it's pretty nifty.

I am using a mini hairpin lace frame to braid my size 3 cord for eyeglass holders while I'm waiting for my lucet fork.

you don't need a lucet fork to do this, the Clover hairpin lace loom works as well, and so does any hairpin loom. you only need 2 prongs at a set distance, so if you got some spare knitting needles and styrofoam, just stick them in it and you're ready to go.

+MooInShades You are right, but look how beautiful the lucet is : )

Good girl. I'm trying to learn all types of self sufficiency techniques. Funny. We worked hard in our youth so we could have the best of things. Now we love the idea of "do it like the primitives"! 😁

What's it for? Got any finished products to explain why anyone would just make a long cord?

if you look at the very beginning, she has the 'start the yarn through the lucet hole' (it's helpful for tension) and then you just wrap around the fork. You may need to pause the video at :35 and at 1:31 to see how the cord is wrapped. Then at 2:05 she does the 1st 'stitch/wrap/whatever'.
