“Footy” in Australia actually means different sports depending on which State you live in. In NSW and QLD it’s Rugby but WA, VIC and SA, it’s Aussie Rules.

Re the villa away shirt and sponsor. The kit was released the season before as you said. Villa weee late in gaining a sponser and played the first few games without one. When they got one the club shop put them on to shirts already sold for free. I have an original of both, both without the sponsor. I also have a match worn Paul McGrath one, with the sponsor! Not a kit collector but a villa ST holder who used to buy the kits. In fact that season was the last one I bought. The away one is great.
