troy mccombs yeah I know to give +$500 for a mask is ridiculous but imagine if someone doesn't heard about this and u can scare him to hell if he is a pussy
Its awesome how George ( I think thats his name, it was really mumbled so I am not sure), enjoys showing the whole mask-workshop and production. We can feel how passionate he is about his work, and how proud he is. Thats just cool about many fx-artists I have seen so far... the passion for the job. Really cool video and great artists!
As soon as I heard the company name I knew this was gonna be good. Their stuff is expensive but this video shows exactly why. Some great insight into what it takes, and it's nice to see them not shy about showing the whole process.
We used an Immortal Masks werewolf in our Scary Endings short "Yummy Meat: A Halloween Carol". Can't say enough great things about them. Thanks for the awesome behind the scenes.
whereistherockhammer there just to expensive for the average person in a set up at home or facility’s.If you improve the price it might bring your customer service up not saying that it doesn’t afford that much it’s not that good it’s just the average person can not afford these masses.iv worn one of your masks and they are exceptional good company keep it up🙂🙂🙂🙂
Lachlan Bernon The price is fine. They're not supposed to be cheap, one time use Halloween masks, these are intended for productions, film projects, haunted houses, not to be worn once and forgotten about
+Black Skull i move my company from cal to Oregon and i will be looking for workers in the next year, i want to have it as your input for ideas of masks not just mine and if you make it you would have full rights to your mask idea , you mold it and cast it its yours to sell it on your own site and still work for us , and i would like my workers to have weekends off ....and family comes first if you cant make it to work and your little ones are sick i would not let you lose your job , or your car gets a flat i would understand , i just need to get things set up this year
+rigomortisfxstudios where in oregon???? i live in oregon and the sucky thing is cool stuff is only found in big cities... im obsessed with halloween i do basic special effect make up and closest halloween store to me is 2 hrs away! it is so damn hard to get supplies or anything good!
Immortal masks is a phenomenal company! I own 5 silicone masks from them! They are all so realistic! I just ordered 2 from them for Christmas 2022! I cannot wait to receive them because they look so terrifying and look so creepy!
nice. i guess the best mask for people with glasses would be an alien. would be fun to se a stop-motion-picture of a mask being made from scratch to final painting.
Anyone else think "the creep" would work great as a satanic magician wearing a purple robe with gold edging? such as around the half cone style collar?
kitchenmaiden81 or like the comic book Joker but his veins kinda pop out and his skin is really crusty from being bleached. More of a realistic take on the Joker with the whole chemical origins
I love seeing stuff like this. I'd love to know where to start to give all this a go, I'd go wild for a very long time messing about with stuff like this, it's like clay modelling.
Stan Winston studios has several prosthetic DVD type resources they're selling over the internet. It doesn't provide you with a client base, which is the most important aspect though.
Yeah, but those are made to last years and they are realistic, difficult and expensive to make. They are not cheap. You see, they are even used in Hollywood, cause they are great.
@@jasongoestospace8415 I guess it would depend on what you're using them for. If it's just for Halloween or a one time event, then yea. Pretty expensive. But if it's just one prop out of the many for a movie, then maybe not so much.
I just finished watching FaceOff on Netflix. I absolutely love that art form. Loved the show! Looking for more to see now on RUclips. So much fun to watch. I wish when I was in high school I knew that this was a thing and an actual career.
i'm only here for the redhead, severely disappointed we didnt get a better view. and was anyone else half expecting that guy to take off his 'face' and go "look!, wearing a mask, the whole time!"
Agree I was thinking up to 2000, and I think 600 is fair, and if you do it right I'm sure you can win at clubs prices for best costumes, but think about it can you put out 600$ right now to buy it? It's a lot
Alphasys I've toyed with the idea of mask making and doing it for a living. I have the skill to do it. But it's which way to go - pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap to the casual halloween party goer, or make outstanding custom peices and sell a few to hardcore collectors for a high price. I'd find the latter un-fullfilling though. It's deciding which route is more lucrative.
mellodge I'm doing sculpts, busts and figures, and I really haven't figured out what would be the best way to do it. I can either make 1 cast, paint it and sell it for 2 grand (if I find a buyer) or make 15-30 casts, and maybe sell them as resin kits for 150 bucks each. The cost of the resin, shipping and all that stuff then comes into play.
Not to mention that have masks are more affordable than the full masks. I am myself ordered a half mask for the price of $290. I can definitely tell you that this material is well worth that price.
Huge fan of Immortal Masks!! Top notch quality. From artistry to functionality, it’s sure to scare from afar and up close. And size does fit most, I shaved my hair and beard and made it way easier to slip the mask on and off. I only have one but definitely plan on adding to the collection. They just added baby creatures to the catalog which are so creepy 🫣 . How likely would I be able to get a tour or meet n greet if I called ahead the next time visiting LA for vacation
Profit margin is extremely high as far as cost goes, but there's so much labor involved!! The silicone costs 10x as much as the latex pour does. If not more. My silicone mask I made, rock mold, no core (I roll cast after brushing in detail coat) and my cost in silicone was $120. Now, I used a different silicone than they did, one more for appliances but it worked. So add that to the labor and you've got a $500+ retail piece.
yup. First off silicone is crazy expensive, but it is the labor mainly. I make predator masks which are very expensive even for latex, because of the dreads especially, and the teeth. A good one will easily sell for £500 (about $700). I've had people who claim I should charge less because "your doing something you enjoy" which is rubbish. Why should they get my time and skill for nothing.
It sort of gives you a perspective on what kind of masks to purchase..me personally...I like the non wearing type...so latex for me...! Good test vid guys..❤
Check out Immortal Masks' creature masks at www.immortalmasks.com
why no freddy krueger mask?!...
How do we order a mask
There so much like $750
I have one of these masks. They are fantastic! I highly recommend them.
It is the joy in this guy's eyes. Doing a job he loves.
Yes 😊
Do what you love, you never work!
I can only imagine the epic pranks that happen in this workshop.
It's just a prank bro.
It's just a social experiment dawg. I dun' nuthing wrong.
This man can talk, but that is not a horrible thing he seems passionate it's very inspiring.
He's on coke
The guest guy looks like a comic book villain. That's so awesome because it fits his job description rather well
Its insane at how much knowledge one man has at mask making .... I was dumbfounded as he went on and on ... God Bless Him !
Wouldn't be so bad if silicone wasn't ridiculously expensive
IKR i love doing art like that but you said it!
troy mccombs yeah I know to give +$500 for a mask is ridiculous but imagine if someone doesn't heard about this and u can scare him to hell if he is a pussy
troy mccombs True, but with all the money and work put into a single mask, it's understandable. A profit has to be made.
Is it me or does it look like he's wearing a mask.
i thought the same. kinda crazy
Same its the long chin and nose I think that makes it look like that
David Thornley what makes you think he has a wig?
I thought so too!
It looks like "the creeper" mask show at the beginning is based on him. Exaggerate the eyebrows and remove the all hair, that's him.
Its awesome how George ( I think thats his name, it was really mumbled so I am not sure), enjoys showing the whole mask-workshop and production. Very cool to find this video!
Love your Monster Lab Series. Very detailed and inspiring.

You dont see the other mask companys letting cameras in well done immortal masks for letting us in this is fantastic seeing the magic happen :-)
Awesome masks, very reasonably priced too for the work that goes into them.
Brilliant video!
That guy has a really cool chin.

Bebop and Rocksteady masks... cool.
This is a great example of craftsman value! Fantastic demonstrations of the product production. Well, done.!!
This guys hair is amazing.
I honestly thought he had a mask or prosthetics on at the very start
+Shaun H 0:45 George Frangakadis. He would look really good playing the devil in a film or something :)
yeah he has a caricature face, exaggerated features. shapeshifter if ever there was
I still think he has some prosthetics really well glued and covered on his face.

Serious props to George and his team of ARTISTS!! These are AMAZING!!
.. that episode of Goosebumps as a kid made me scared of masks..
Prat exactly what this video reminded me of lol
There’s so much flexibility in these silicone masks that you could glue air bladders inside them and the effect reads really well
0:23 nice Bebop and Rocksteady! (from TMNT)

~sighs happily~ I love anything along the lines of SFX makeup.
do they collour code all there employe's
1Hawk2Hawks interesting way to spell color..
1Hawk2Hawks a lot of that sentence was incorrect.
Always great to see people passionate and knowledgeable about what they are doing. You can see the guy really know his stuff. Awesome video,
YOU GUYS SHOULD MAKE SOME ALIEN MASKS !!
@@grirrat cookoo he means the alien movie
They might not have a license for alien
My Favorite Tested video by a long mile. So fun to see behind the scenes of such stuff.
Anyone else think "the creep" would work great as a satanic magician wearing a purple robe with gold edging? such as around the half cone style collar?
I was also thinking of a cone collar kind of thing. It'd probably be quite the timesaver to have these masks available for a movie production.
kitchenmaiden81 or like the comic book Joker but his veins kinda pop out and his skin is really crusty from being bleached. More of a realistic take on the Joker with the whole chemical origins
That last bit of the interview is surprisingly creepy and awesome! I expected it to look good, but it looks SPECTACULAR!
Graeme Evans Rawr! Im gonna eat your heart out. Maybe..no? Aw shucks.
Georgie is a good family friend of ours. Weird to see him here 😂
i wanna work for hin :'(
This is very impressive and you can feel his enthusiasm for the work. I would love to work there

That was incredibly interesting and engaging. What an incredibly passionate team. I wish their business all the best.
all those girls have coloured hair.. is that a requirement for someone for decorators or whatever? lol
Just the regular old hipster chicks who finished art degrees in uni. It seems to be a running trend with them, atleast here in Australia
they think it makes them look unique...just like the 10 million other girls with colored hair
ZachAttack84
Haaa
Steve Jobs You live in australia? Everyone thought you died, man. Oh, and hey, iPhone 6 sucks!
Not a requirement, just fun.
That rocky t-shirt is awesome.
Each sculpt I saw, I'd say they were using a life cast of that dude in the interview.
What beautiful things (hair: red, blue and green)!
You know this is a pretty great video, right?
These guys are unreal . So skillful
all those cute ladies with fun colored hair....paradise
lol y wtf. why.
tulp35000 why not?
***** might as well dye your pubes and ass hair.. Oh wait they already do that.
tulp35000 what's wrong with that?
***** get a hobby.
This is one of the coolest videos you guys have ever done..
Where can I get that Jim Raynor mask that guys wearing? Oh wait, that's his real face... X_X
Greendale Human Being at 9:21. Gave me a chuckle.
He looks like the lovechild of Tom Savini
The love child of Tom Savini and Jack Pierce lol
The interviewee wears that Jim Raynor mask fantasticly well.
He does kinda look like jimmy
it's all a lie they're using real peoples faces
Deven Vigueria bruhh we have the same name and pic
your the same people

hands down, the coolest freaking thing ive seen!!! amazing work, and dedicated talent !!!
"A little bit of a high end"
$650 - $750 a mask ? ... A lot of a bit of a high end.
I mean you see all the effort that goes into these right?
Yeah, but those are made to last years and they are realistic, difficult and expensive to make. They are not cheap. You see, they are even used in Hollywood, cause they are great.

More affordable than a gucci belt
i've seen a million masks in my 53 years, and these guys by far are the best.plus the girls are doll babies.
Is being a cute girl with coloured hair a pre requisite to work there?
lol 13:50 there's a guy behind norm. but maybe cute girls with colored hair are good artists and use their skills on their own hair/body.
Fair enough, I'm just pointing out that a lot of more artistic people are usually people with colored hair and tattoos haha, me included
gwidao123 yep "good artists... use their skills on their own hair/body."
You look like demo ranch
I thought they were sisters at first >.>
That's true talent, great works of art indeed!
