@@themosindude7925 Magpul; I got the L plates which are just rubberized pads. Their ranger plates are the same thing but with a finger loophole instead of the flat bottom.
@@d0peshow the tan followers suck: - require a different spring with a non standard loop to attach to the follower - they’re prone to getting stuck and not feeding because they’re not self lubricating - top round end up on the wrong side when fully loaded (all other followers have the top round be on the same side so visual inspection tells you if it’s fully loaded). Just get the yellow or green magpul followers
I am from Massachusetts and have to buy pre ban mags. I came across some "Chartered" 30 rd steel mags and I can't for the life of me get these anti tilts to fit. Does anyone else have this problem?
I had the same problem. In usgi it fits flawlessly, in brownells also, but steel mag had issues. I have sand it off a bit in front and also narrowed rear guide notch and it works now. But still, it is not made to fit steel mags.
*old follower goes flying across the room*
"discard your follower."
I followed these directions exactly.
If you lube the follower IMO I think it would collect more dust and dirt inside the magazine
Just my opinion.
YOU ARE 100% CORRECT ON YOUR COMMENT.
NEVER EVER LUBE YOUR FOLLOWER!!!
They are meant to be a replacement for the older tilting green followers. For tan or blue followers, their spring won't fit them.
FFS.
Lube up the spring too. Not too much just a dot. It'll prolong the life of the magazine.
WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO LUBRACAT IN YOUR MAG WELL.
YOUR GREATING A DIRT AND DUST COLLECTION IN YOUR MAG WELL,DAM DUMMY😅
I have been looking for these, i have about 70ish gi mags and would love to eventually swap all the followers out. Ive done about 15 so far.
good luck getting the followers haha because that's the hardest part
I got those for some army surplus mags but I also replaced the springs and base plates.
I am thinking about replacing the base plates. Where do you get yours from?

I'm curious how the magpul followers compare to the tan gi followers, as the tan ones don't tilt.

Nice. Just picked up some crappy mags. I'll change the follower and be good to go.
Honestly the follower is what makes it reliable in my opinion. Sturdy mags are great but you gotta have a solid follower as well!
I’m a year late doing this but my dad gave me his 8 old gi mags the army let him keep i replaced spring and follower and now they are apart of my kit

@@jansuchanek6937 thanks! Glad to hear I wasn't doing something wrong. And thank you for the tip. I'll give it a try
done that, the magpul follower does not go all the way up, seems stuck
Good job 👍🏻
Thanks!
