Much appreciated. I was trying a different way to take off the plate, but found your video very helpful. Flat head was much easier to use. Also realized one mag I was trying to open was just all messed up, so didn't use that one in the end.

Marvin, You are welcome, Yep, did you know most things that you disassemble on the M16 Style Rifles, you can use a 5.56 Round to do the disassembly? I never do, that seems stupid, but it was designed that way to make it easily disassembled in the field. Thanks for the comment! - Stiles

Sean, I should have used Green, too! My first thought was in low light conditions the Yellow would be better. But, a darker color would be better, the Yellow may appear like brass remaining. I appreciate the comments! - Stiles

will it work with a 7.62x39 AR15 platform???

Caballero, No, these Followers are made to fix the problem with US Government Issue 30 round Magazines. Hopefully, the magazines you select for your 7.62x39 don't have this feed issue. - Stiles

One note foe anyone doing this with Okay Industries USGI mags- these will NOT fit mags with mfg date of 3-12. I have the tan followers on my mags that came brand new with these, and after taking apart the mags and checking the tan followers vs these magpul ones, the spring is toobig and will not fit the magpul follower spot for it. But, good news, if you ha e tan followers, they look exactly like the magpul ones and have just as long of front and end parts and I've never had an issue with mine, but a buddy said "tan always gave me problems when deployed" and I thought these would work, but they don't.

Scoobie, Yep its not a perfect world out there with different suppliers making equipment for the USG. That is a good bit of information to help anyone that may read the comments here. Thanks! - Stiles

I just replaced the components in all of my mags, and they were not that east to take apart. I said every bad word in every language known to man, I asl think I created my own language. But I succeeded.

Dynomite, Yep they will pinch you if you are not careful. I showed you how to pry them apart, was that not helpful? You need to disassemble and clean your Magazines periodically. They'll probably do fine for years without cleaning, but I want to know mine will work when I need them. I clean and dry lube them. - Stiles

@ your videos were very helpful. It was just my magazines were not willing to cooperate. Those things were seized on there, my magazines were also crushed on the sides for some odd reason. Mind you these magazines were issued to me in the mid 90s when I was in the Marine Corps. So I had a straighten them out a little bit after I gutted them and everything went together just fine.
