@@gu510 Personally I really like it. I have a cat (British shorthair) and a dog, with the mop-p I found out that the cat loses so much hair... I let it clean twice a week and it does its job. Like with other robots, the mop function is quite simple. It just lets some water on the detachable cloth and wipes. For me the price was also a deciding factor. When you have a bit more money, you might want to get the roborock s7+.

@@SmartRobotReviews I just bought a Vacuum mop pro after watching your review, does your's wheels whirr on move? Mine's wheels make a sound on cleaning process like turning a dynamo, may be this is normal.
@@Omer51313 Yeah, the wheels make some noise as well as gears inside the robot and brushes, so even on low power mode you can barely hear the suction motor, but the wheels' and gears' noise may be pretty noticeable. If the noise is loud, maybe the device is defective, it's hard to suggest something without hearing it.

I have Roborock S5 Max but was thinking of getting the Mop P as a backup, but it has had no firmware updates so I don't trust it :(
Yeah, probably you will be disappointed with the Mop P after the S5 Max. The Mop P is not bad considering all the features you get for the price, but in terms of product quality and reliability, you get what you pay for.
You should do your research on how frequent each company makes their firmware updates. I've had a no longer Spanish Mop Pro (Conga 3390) and it does the job just fine on tile/hard-floors perfectly. It just was returned because it took much time -went through same place many times because it didn't have the wall sensor 😑.
If you have a long corridor like me it will sweep and mop unlike there came a nuclear bomb.

Wanted to thank you for a great review since I was wondering which one to buy for myself. The vacuum mop P is significantly cheaper than the S5 and as per your tests I think it's sufficient for my needs.
The vacuum mop P also shares a lot of parts in common with the original MI robot vacuum that I already own, so I think I can use existing spares with that (like the nylon side brush and main roller).

Thanks to your reviews, I made the best choice: Roborock S5 Max. I've been using it for half a year, and I'm very happy with it. It does a great job both on the carpet and on the hard floors. The navigation system is very accurate, never had a problem. The app is also very intuitive, room management is very handy.

How do you fill the water in the tank? Do you fill the tank under the sink and then place it in the vacuum or do you fill it when it is already in?

Well done, I was just asking myself if I should by the Mop Pro or S5 Max as both is really expensive in Brazil. Mop P it is.
There is 3 in 1 robots so i will suggest to get the one with three functions vacuum sweep mop, it will cost u less.

The main brushes looks similar, can you switch them from one to the other?
They are a bit different in length, so are not interchangeable.
When I was checking on Mop P I could not find one crucial function and that is "no mop zone". It has "no go zone" only. This means that you have to make all your carpets a no go zone when using the mop function, and then delete these when using the vacuum only function, otherwise you will either never vacuum your carpets or make them wet by mop function, or did I miss something?
Hey there, the Mop P does not have no-mop zones, only no-go zones. Normally no-mop zones are presented in high-end devices only 😊
As far as I know. Recently launched roborock s7 features automated carpeting with no-go mopping. Check it out. Expensive, tough

Hi there for homes with no carpets most robots would work just fine. The Xiaomi Mop P is a good one as a mop but also does the job on hard floors as a vacuum. The Roborock S5 Max has its pros too. Both would be suitable for your situation

@@ahmedihsan1679 Yes, but seems like it leaks only when you remove/install the water tank. Also, some users claim that their water tank doesn't leak, so maybe only early versions of the Mop P affected.

Hello, great robot reviews! Keep going. I'm concerned about getting the Xiaomi Vacuum Mop P, does it ha handle hair on hard floors? I see it fails on carpets but I have no carpets. Any other options for the same price? Good mopping is a priority. Thank you!
The Mop P does not have a brush roll with removable side tips. Because of that hair, you won't be able to remove wrapped hair off the side tips. But other than that, the robot handles hair well (on hard floors)

The mijia 1C is (imho) better on hard floors as a vacuum than the Mop P. But the Mop P is better as a mop, no doubts. As to navigation, the S5 Max is smoother and finishes cleaning faster. It is more gentle with furniture and overall navigation algorithm is more complete

Have a look at the 360 S7 Pro. About the same price range :)
Do they have a possibility to create two separate maps with auto detect for a two-story apartment and an anti-fall system that identifies stairs?
Yes, both have cliff sensors and can detect stairs. The S5 Max can store up to 4 maps and can automatically recognize on which floor it is placed. The Mop P can store multiple maps too, but only international and Chinese versions. The European version of the Mop P doesn't support multimap yet for some reason.

base model) in the market and THEY DO feature multi-level support, so it really depends on the company that runs the robot and its software

@@jakubprzybylski3960 I've never tested the Viomi V3. I've tested the V2, it had a buggy app and navigation algorithms. However, it was two years ago, hope they fixed all the issues in the newer models.

Hi, thank you! As far as I remember, it's the styj02ym. The robot is packed in the box right now, so can't check the model and the firmware version. It's an early Chinese version of the robot.

None of the existed robots can handle cables. You would need to pick them up anyways. I'm more into a Roborock. It's hard to explain but I had lots of small issues with the Xiaomi (this particular model) and none with the Roborock. But must admit the Xiaomi is a better mop.

Hi there and thank you. The Mop P is a good mop but not good on carpet, the 360 S7 is good on carpet but is not as good as a mop. The Roborock S5 Max is the best in the list but also is the most expensive so if you are willing to pay more, I would recommend going for the S5 Max

You are so welcome! I didn't review the Lydstro R1 and is not going to anytime soon. And I don't think the rubber roller brush would fit the Proscenic M7 as those are two different robots.
As to my favorite robot oh that's a tricky question! Currently, my main robot is the Roborock S6 MaxV. I like it because of its navigation, I do not remove all things off the floor as I trust its navigation. The Roborock S7 is a unique robot vacuum as it is one of the first and the first really good robot that is as good at vacuuming as it is at mopping. The Roborock S5 Max is a good value. The best in this price range. And of course, the Xiaomi 1C that is budget and is ideal for small places tho a very good performer on both types of surface.

Do you think that the Dreame D9 is a better choice that this two?
Each robot is good at things and has its flaws. The Dreame is a decent robot vacuum especially considering it's price but it lacks the Roborocks mopping system and customizing settings for each room as well as the waterproof mat. It does better on carpet than a Xiaomi but is not as good at mopping. So it's hard to say

You can set no-mop zones so the robot avoids carpets in mopping mode. Only for the S5 Max tho

Hi there which one would you recommend for a small-medium sized apartment among the 1C and Roborock S5 Max? I feel like the 1C might be enough for me but the Roborock just looks and sounds premium so just wanted to know your thoughts if its worth double the price? Hi there, the Roborock is definitely worth it. The 1C is good for small homes tho and cleaning performance on par (except for mopping, the S5 Max is a better mop). The 1C cleans about 1 m2 per minute and works for up to 40 minutes on Max model so if your cleaning area is about 40 m2 the 1C would be enough. But if you are willing to spend more on a Roborock, you wouldn't regret it.

How does it compare with S6 MaxV ?
The S6 MaxV is very similar to the S5 Max in terms of cleaning and mopping performance. The only difference is that the S6 MaxV can "see" small objects and avoid them when cleaning.
Hi everyone. I need help. I bought the Vacuum Mop P a few months ago, I live in a 180m2 apartment and still, it doesn´t want to create a map. I keep receiving a message saying "Please complete the cleaning task first and make sure remember the map is enabled". On the other hand, when it arrives at 40% of battery it disconnects from the WiFi and turns randomly in the apartment! Really really frustrating! Thanks for your help!
Maybe the charging docks stays far away from the router? Is the map complete when it gets back to recharge after cleaning?
@@SmartRobotReviews Hi. Thanks for answering. No the map doesn’t fully charge. When the battery is low, it tries to return to the dock, sometimes successfully sometimes not. When it starts again to finish the first task and complete the map, it starts from the beginning erasing everything it did before. I just did a hard reset hoping it will work.
I would try to put the docking station closer to the router, it might be a connection issue. Mine normally finishes cleaning on one charge so I don't know how week resumption works
@@SmartRobotReviews The docking station is just underneath the router. You are lucky enough to finish in one charge. I hope it will be the same for me if someday the robot gets to fully map the house. Haha. Nevertheless, the results of cleaning are really impressive. I live with 2 cats and I’ve got rid of cat hair.

The S5 Max as it has the longest battery life and you don't have to charge the robot between vacuuming each floor. Additionally it is a better robot vacuum overall.

I can't make a choice between Mop P and Dreame L10. The second one is better in everything, but a bit expensive and has no Y-mopping. I have a kid, a dog (with toys on the floor because both of them) and 50 m apartment with now carpets. What could you advice?)
I prefer the Dreame L10, even though it doesn't have Y-mopping. It's really better in every way and I'm disappointed in the Mop P because Xiaomi doesn't want to update the firmware and fix bugs. The overall build quality of the Mop P looks cheaper too. Depending on your expectations you may be satisfied or disappointed with it.

I haven't used the Mop 2 P, but according to the specs, it's a pretty good robot vacuum. Yet, in terms of navigation efficiency, it's probably worse than the L10 Pro, because I haven't seen a camera-guided robot vacuum that would have better navigation than Lidar-based robots.

I prefer a Roborock anyways. More convenient to use, better navigation, no need to worry about the pad staying on as you have a water-proof mat and overall experience is better. Tho the S5 Max is more expensive

Hi , thanks for reply , but my question is can we track the level of water available during the cleaning process and is there any alert we can set if water is Completed in between , can the machine send us any notification so that we can stop the cleaning and refill water tank and continue with cleaning
Unfortunately, it doesn't show how much water left in the water tank and it doesn't notify when it's empty. It also doesn't have an option like alert reminder to refill the water tank after some time.

Hi, if you have carpets, don't buy the Mop Pro even with this price difference, it performs badly on carpets. If you don't have carpets, the Mop Pro should be a good choice. Also, take a look at the Dreame L10 Pro if you can find it cheaper than the S5 Max in Greece. It has 3D object avoidance, has strong suction, and performs great on carpets.
