    It does have another ace up it's sleeve, a 22kW onboard charger. Most rivals only manage 11kW or as low as 7kW. This means it can take full advantage of AC charging posts, and there's still a few free 22kW chargers about. But even if the charging isn't free you'll always pay less on an AC post and at 22kW the Zoe charges up reasonably quickly. This means it can save you money on charging, and being very efficient too helps your bank balance. I still think in terms of running costs it's a winner.

    I've had a Zoe nearly 3years now, and I still love driving it. The 22kw charging beats the competition and if you have to rely on public charging alone, this is a must
    Handling seems fine to me, but I'm not a boy racer and am happy to poodle around.
    The seats are ok, a little firm. But that's my only criticism.
    I would definitely have another when my lease runs out.

    After fully charged the Renault ZOE range shown in the dashboard is about 240 to 250 miles or up to 420 km during summertime. If you drive it in ECO mode, it is no problem to drive it efficiently and being able come close to this range. The effective range in winter time is about one third less, but this affects more or less all BEVs. The CCS charger is optional what is not really a very good decision made by Renault although as mentioned by others, it has a 22 kW onboard charger. It has a large 338 liter trunk can be extended to about 1225 liters, and putting the charging cable rolled up and stoved into a bag helps to get rid of the spaghetti cable situation shown in the video and it is a 5 seater what is a real plus. Additionally, it has 3 ISOFIX mounts what is amazing. What many also do not know, 3 years of map updates and software updates are included. There are real knobs and buttons everywhere so you do not have to fiddle around with flimsy touch controls. Overall it is a very good BEV and many of it‘s rivals are not able to come even close to what the ZOE has to offer.

    Hello! You can buy a double bottom for the boot.This summer my sweet little Zoe had a new consumption record: 11.5 kWh/ kilometer. Who else? Fabulous. Also the Zoe is able to charge with 22 kW speed in my street. Who else. And with my Zoe it is possible to use Tesla's superchargers which means cheap charging costs and easy. And believe me those Tesla drivers have to wait as long as I do, but I take a walk. This week I am driving to Spain, this little car has enough comfort for big distances, not getting tired. And my renting battery gives me free road service and a new battery at the end. Who else?

    • @thomash2806
      @thomash2806 Год назад +8

      There are only three countries in the world that have imperial measurements as their official system: the USA, Liberia and Myanmar. When I was at secondary school in the UK we had a South African maths teacher who insisted we use metric units to “bring us in line with the rest of the Commonwealth”…
      The daftest thing in the UK is that you buy fuel in litres and then measure fuel consumption in mpg! Even here we’ve got miles/kWh.

    • @barrieainge4937
      @barrieainge4937 Год назад +1

      Are you referring to her height comments or the reference to miles/kWh? I think you have to bear in mind that the UK only partly accepts metric measurements - even now I personally convert my litre petrol purchases to mpg to get fuel consumption. As for height,well children may use centimetres but in common parlance it's feet and inches. When have you ever heard someone referring to a 6 footer as a 182.88 centimetrer !? We'll get there in the end no doubt..

Cars are weighed in kilos but power is measured in horses. I also totally agree with @Oracleman1 that RUclips is an international forum and in that context it’s useful to point out that the very large majority of the world doesn’t use the UK’s bizarre mash-up…

    I've had one of each of the variants of the Zoe (2015, 2018 and 2022) it has gradually gone downhill with each iteration. It has definitely had it's time. That doesn't mean it doesn't make a decent usable car, but it's definitely needs to be replaced. We'll probably see it dropped from Renault's line up in the next year or so, in fact there is some evidence that is already happening.

    I have a ZE50 and I do really like it, but all your complaints I totally agree with. Renault should reduce the price down now as it's so far behind a lot of the competition. One thing I will say though, the car is efficient. If the new Renault 5 can address a lot of the issues the Zoe has but maintain the efficiency it'll be a winner. The R5 is much more attractive too.

      They removed ONE airbag on the B puller and NCAP have increased their threshold for autonomous safety tech. They have also changed the rule that they can’t give you a rating higher than your lowest score across the board, so with that, zero. Not 3, not 2, ZERO. From a car that 2 years ago or so was a 5 start car. This is a ridiculous take.

    Typical legacy car firm design, use LFP battery to Keep cost down, not cheapened the rest of the car.

      It's a perfectly safe car with a very safe passenger cell it just does not have enough electrical gimics on it to get top stars at Euro NCAP now which is stupid. A car is only as safe as the driver anyway and we should not become so reliant on all these electronics that can fail.

      You do know a Mazda 2 hybrid is basically just a Yaris with a Mazda badge on it right? Nothing else different. So basically a Yaris for you then.

      @@sharonec5419 There are two other differences apart from the badge, the first one is the price which is a little lower on the mazda 2 and also the yaris is built in france where as the mazda 2 is built in japan.

      Actually, a hybrid is the *worst* of both Worlds. Having 2 separate power sources means one power source has to shift the weight of the other when it's idle. Hybrids are 20 year old tech now....
