    Mexico City is the second most civil city I have visited, second only to Tokyo. The most chaotic cities were Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, and Cartegena. The Grutas Tolontogo is absolutely worth the money ❤

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  Год назад

      We're so glad you got to experience Grutas Tolontogo, it looks like such a magical place 🤩🤩 That's very interesting - we've never been to any of those cities you mentioned, but the sound of 'chaotic city' is already sounding like too much for my sensitivity to large crowds of people 🤯🫢👀 Tokyo on the other hand is a place we've always dreamed of visiting 🤩🤩

      I’ve seen the Tokyo metro versus the Mexico City metro. Worlds apart. Big cities in Japan are much more peaceful than even average sized cities in Mexico.

    Good video! I just visited CDMX in June with a friend. We didn't go up in the Torre Latinoamérica, but instead at El Monumento de la Revolución, which only cost about $5 and included a little museum. The view from the top was completely unobstructed by bars, it was an amazing spot, which I'd highly recommend, probably instead of la Torre (especially if you already say Bellas Artes from Don Porfirio). Also, if you have a bit more time in the city, are on a budget, & feel comfortable figuring it out (the app City Mapper was very helpful), I recommend using the metro & bus system, because it was very safe & cheap, only 5 pesos for the metro and 6 pesos for the buses. Lastly, a day trip to Teotihuacán was so worth it! In June the weather was perfect to visit those ruins, not too hot and it didn't rain for us. If you're a museum person, I'd highly recommend Museo Soumaya also. And for food, don't forget to visit El Moro for churros! I *loved* Mexico City and will definitely be back someday!

      Hola Shanan 👋👋
      Thank you so much, we are glad you enjoyed our video 🤗🙏.
      Really? We did not check about El Monumento a la Rev. but definitely is way cheaper than La Latino Tower, we were about to not do it, but we thought it could have been a good addition to the video, but thank you for sharing your insights about the monument. We didn't hear about that app but great to hear it, probably for next time 🙏🙏. Yes, we found public transportation in CDMX is cheaper, and sometimes even more convenient than taking Uber. We were planning on visiting Teotihuacan but we had a bit inconvenient so we have postponed for next trip. We did Soumaya, and we include a bit portion on another video we made about Polanco (Richest Neighbourhoods in Mexico City). P.S. We are not museum people, but we enjoyed Soumaya 🤭🤩. We love el Moro, we visited a couple of times, and we love it.
      Thank you so much for watching and commenting, this really helps our channel to grow, thank you as well for your insights on CDMX, we will definitely keep it in mind for a future trip. Saludos Shanan 👋🇲🇽

    Mexico City I agree is a feast of the senses. There's not other city in the world that is so electric - buzzing. I love it and cant' wait to return. My dilemma is where to stay. In the past I have stayed in the Historic area but now considering a few days in Coyacan and then somewhere else?

      Yeah, we agree with you, Mexico City has a lot of things and in a good mix between cultural, modern, historic and much more! I will say something around Reforma, Condesa, Roma Sur/Norte would be the best places. We believe Coyoacan is a bit too far in the South. Thanks for watching a commenting 🙏🙏

    Great video, planning to go back to Mexico City at the end of this year, good Lord willing. We there were for 10 days last December 2022 visiting family I haven’t seen in 40 years. Beautiful weather, cool in the morning, mid 50 degrees & the afternoons 70’ . To say the least, we still didn’t get to see everything there in Mexico City. But I do have one confession, my fear of getting the runs came the last night I was there. They said be careful where and what you eat. but on our eighth Day when we were there , we planned an all day trip to visit the pyramids in Teotihuacán Mexico. we stopped at one of Taqueria stands off the road on the way up there, big mistake. Me , my daughter, and two family members that live in Mexico got ill. My suggestion, ate a good breakfast in the city, take some snacks on the road and have lunch after viewing the pyramids at the La gruta restaurant.

      Ouch, that sucks, we're not sure if you have watched our Xochimilco video but I (Geo) born and raised in Mexico had a michelada at this place, and I got sick very bad, we think it's a risk sometimes of a 50/50 but street food is a huge part of our culture, we usually go with our intuition and hope for the best, and we make sure we have Treda just in case 🤭🤭.

      Awww, thank you so much for your sweet comment 😍. Mexico is pretty safe, of course, you should take precautions mainly at night and avoid the dangerous neighbourhoods, we've visited Mexico City twice and have never felt unsafe, but we are pretty cautious of our surroundings, and taking tips from the locals.

      You're most welcome, we hope this helps you plan an epic CDMX trip 🤩🙌 You could definitely do this in 3 consecutive days, but it would be exhausting ☠️ I'd say scheduling a day or two in between would be perfect to just take it slow and maybe just go on a casual stroll, you never know what you may find 🙌 We were in CDMX for about 12 days, and in that time we went did all this, plus a day trip to Xochimilco, watched a football match at Azteca stadium and went to a wedding and we came home exhausted 😅🫣 We hope you have the best time! 🇲🇽

    Did you do the drone shots for this video? Flying a drone allowed in CDMX?

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hola Ashish,
      Yes, we took it ourselves. Well, I (Geovanny) fly the drone, and according to the law, only Mexican citizens are allowed to fly them in the country. Nevertheless, people still fly them, but if you were to get caught, you could face a high fine and possible imprisonment.

    Great video. Going for a visit soon, what would you guys recommend is the best way to exchange USD to MXN? I've heard ATMs are the best way but I don't want to take my debit card. Would a casa de cambio, bank or airport offer good prices?

    • @ForTheRoadTravels
      @ForTheRoadTravels  Год назад +1

      *Hola Gabe 👋*
      Thank you so much, we're so happy you liked our video. ATMs are not bad, however, some of them have insane ATM usage fees, avoid BBVA ATMs. Airports have some of the worse exchange rates, so our best recommendation would be Casas de Cambio, but we're not sure if you are aware of Xoom by Paypal, you can use it to send money from your card to your name and you could withdraw it at Oxxo's (Convenience stores), this might be the best option for you 🙏.
      We hope this info helps friend 🫶❤️

    Interesting video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

    May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, & his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."
    God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, & the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus & put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
