To me, Mexico City is kind of a fusion between Mexico, Paris or Madrid, Tokyo and New York. Some areas of the city look very European, like the Historic District, Condesa and Roma Norte, Some look very American and some remind me of Japan. And then, you have beautiful areas like Coyoacán, San Ángel, and Tlalpan that look like the Mexican colonial towns that you would find in other parts of the country. The other thing I love about the city is that it is so vibrant and so exciting. There's always something to do and it also has a great cultural and art scene. Not to mention the food. Anyway, I'm Swiss and I've been to a lot of cities around the world and without a doubt Mexico City is among my top 5. I've been there 3 times and the last time I was there I spent 2 months. Tourists and digital nomads are destroying our city making it literally their property, they only hangout with each other, displace locals, raise prices, appropiate and pervert our culture, speak English obnoxiously loud on the street demanding it to be spoken in classes and events. They think we live an exotic jungle they can colonize and move "to live like kings" they said. They dont care about us, they care its cheaper, because they earn in dollars. Sad chapter of white colonialism in native land.

I have been living in Condesa for 7 months and love it. I have two small dogs, so this is the perfect location for us. The cost of living is about like any larger city in the US. Eating out is expensive. I am just learning Español, and the people here have been ver patient and welcoming. I have Permanent Residency and will probably be in CDMX for several years.

So jealous every time I see a good video of Mexico City! I took a solo trip in 2021, I stayed at a bed n breakfast. I did a tour every day through Airbnb tours. My only regret during my stay was not eating enough street food. I was told by one tour guide (local) you need to go downtown to the street vendors to get the most authentic and the cheapest. Yes, prices in Condesa and surrounding large foreign neighborhoods are quite high for food. Cant wait to go back and explore more. I recommend anyone visiting, there is so much more outside of Condesa and Roma Norte areas, do touristy things (and hidden gems) and get out there and explore!

Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, is a bustling metropolis that blends a rich tapestry of history, culture, and modernity. It's known for its impressive historic sites, such as the Aztec Templo Mayor and the grand Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as world-class museums like the Frida Kahlo Museum. The city's diverse neighborhoods offer a variety of experiences, from the trendy cafes and art galleries in Roma to the historic charm of Coyoacán. Mexico City is famous for its street food, vibrant markets, and a lively atmosphere. While it grapples with urban challenges like traffic and pollution, it also showcases a strong sense of community and a warm, welcoming spirit, making it a captivating destination for travelers and a home for millions. Thanks, Crosby Grace Travels!

We have something like that in Guadalajara but we call it Via Recreativa, is on Sundays too and is also for pedestrians and bikes it is like 29 km long, if you come here I recommend it.
Que chido que disfrutes tu estadía en mi ciudad natal ojalá puedas ver más que la condesa o Roma si te gusta la naturaleza puedes ir al parque de los dinamos o el desierto de los Leones.
Hey I live in CDMX, if you have any questions about it let me know! I'm happy to help! I think Mexico City is actually a lot cheaper than you're experiencing. You're just in the areas that are the most expensive. Your rent in that place is outrageous! You can easily pay $5000 pesos a month for a decent apartment in other areas, and plenty of places are even cheaper.
Crosby! I’m so happy to know you’re in the city. This is among my favorite places in the entire world and it warms my heart that you are finding it so pleasant here. Drop a line if you’d like specific recommendations or fancy a meet-up :)

Hello Grace, nice video! as a resident of Mexico City, I think that, as you say, it is enormous and that brings an enormous diversity of offers, of different price ranges and products, in the tourist areas and even planned for foreign tourism if it can be expensive for a Mexican. , but outside of there prices tend to drop considerably and you can get practically anything outside of those areas, it's just a matter of searching. On the other hand, in the country, the southeast has been forgotten for decades (except for the Riviera Maya) and has been less economically developed, which is why Chiapas (the state where San Cristobal de las Casas is located) and Oaxaca are among the states poorest in the country, hence everything is cheaper I think.

I've been a fan of your videos for a long time. However, on this video I must say that the impressions you are sharing are limited to the colonias you are moving around which are the most gentrified, where tourists are, etc, but that's not the full face of Mexico city. La condesa,Roma Norte and Polanco are just a tiny piece of Mexico City but not all. As you said, Mexico city is huge, I'm glad you acknowledge that within your video and I'm glad that you're continue practicing your Spanish.
Yes 100%! This was just from my first few days in CDMX and I’m staying in La Condesa so of course my impressions are based on the lifestyle there. I can’t possibly explore the whole city in just a few days as you know (and I’m also here completely solo so it’s a bit intimidating as you can imagine 😅) In my next vlog I check out Centro and Coyoacán which I absolutely LOVED! You should go visit El Castillo de Chapultepec, UNAM City, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the image of Our Lady on a cactus tilma that's 500 years old, studied by scientist and NASA, expert photographers. It has a temperature, a pulse, a constellation and it's image was proven floatin on the tilma. Cactus tilma doesn't last this long. Also, the Museum in Polanco that Mr. Carlos Slim built in honor of his wife and the musium of anthropology. Oh Bellas Artes, the restaruant inside the house of tiles which is amazing.
Been living in Polanco CDMX for the past 4 years. Met my wife here and we have 1 year old. My friends from the States don't visit they are missing out. If you can work remote move here.

I'm currently in Gudalajara and thinking of going to CDMX next. What you mentioned about Reforma closing its streets from 8-2 is similar to Guadalajara, it's called "recreativa". I love it!
LA CIUDAD DE MEXICO ESTA PRECIOSA!!
Tremendous Capital City!. Visitors quickly realize the history, culture, traditions, art, architecture and eclectic and delicious gastronomy. Mexico City and the entire country are just fascinating, too much to explore and discover.
Mexico has the largest number of world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO in the Americas!
Nice vid!
Thank you so much 🙏 very nice good luck 😂❤
Here in Morelia, we also shut down the main avenue on Sundays for bicyclists, walkers, dog walkers, skaters, runners, etc.
Love the way you break down everywhere you visit!! I'm planning to spend a few months in Mexico next year & your oaxaca/puerto escondido videos were so helpful, and now after watching this I'm wondering if I should add Mexico City to my trip too 👀 Excited for your next video!
So glad it was helpful! The next video will show you some awesome things to do here in CDMX so stay tuned!

Estupendo, Crosby!
Great passionate (as always) access clip for CDMX! With already tons of good tips & good vibes in 20 min.
You really do get to hop around a lot while going with the flow, in the year of the Water Rabbit.
And yasss - Scorpio season is around the corner.
Gracias, chica!
Viajes seguros y felices! 🌌
Aw thank you so so much! Glad you enjoyed!
So great to see your clip again after having visited CDMX in the meantime, last Dec.
So true, very walkable, super chill & friendly people, and speaking Spanish is a big bonus.
Loved, loved, loved so much about Mexico City. Volveré❣
Welcome back, Mexico embraces you!
CG- go to Xochimilco I think you will like it there. You can meet new people on the trajineras. It’s a whole vibe.
Great tour, almost like I was there. Tremendous job!

Hope you are feeling better, get some rest and enjoy CDMX. Abrazo!
I love Mexico City !!!
yeah
Glad to see you touring Mexico again...i love hearing your take on things.
Museum of anthropology there in mexico cty is super awesome
Hey I live in CDMX, if you have any questions about it let me know! I'm happy to help! I think Mexico City is actually a lot cheaper than you're experiencing. You're just in the areas that are the most expensive. Your rent in that place is outrageous! You can easily pay $5000 pesos a month for a decent apartment in other areas, and plenty of places are even cheaper.
I love the weather and greenery there. Cuernavaca and Querétaro too. Yearlong spring.
You were in Coyocan on oct 17th. I hope you enjoy it. Welcome to Mexico City.
Been all over Mexico but never to Mexico City. Gonna have to try now.
Saludos y bienvenida a mexico
Me encantan tus videos y me encanta más que te encanta Mexico 😊❤

De acuerdo, solo que respecto al Sureste eso está cambiando con este gobierno federal y ahora hay mucha inversión ahi
@@oslecsamra5107 si claro, algo que debió pasar hace décadas, y seguro se irá encareciendo conforme fluya el $

Going in a couple weeks so this video came at the perfect time. I’m so excited!!
Welcome
Love CDMX I was just there last week😊
Don't forget visit michoacan to celebrate Dia de Muertos , Morelia and Patscuaro can't miss it..
Buena recomendación,solo recuerda que es Pátzcuaro no Patscuaro
Mexico City is not only Condesa, Roma and Polanco
Agreed! It's a huge city and I can't wait to explore more!
Thanks for sharing to us! Subscribed to your channel! If you can go to Cuixmala! It’s a beautiful host to visit it, also Morelia, they have a beautiful buildings in the south and downtown, and there’s another one called Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, where is a beach where you can enjoy the views and the nature beach that they have, these places are from the western side of Mexico.
In 2018 an american coffee at Cielito was 28 pesos
I’m doing my best with English I’m proud of the process that I have already but I will say that I got stock or idn but u know keeping the calm 😢
Excited for you to see that one 😊
Well come back home great time to be in Mexico City.
CDMX is the best. 🎉🇲🇽🎉🇲🇽
Crosby. Did you use any language apps to help you with Spanish ?
Silly me. Just noticed you mentioned this in the video

@@CrosbyGraceTravels hola creo q ya te enamoraste de mi estado q es oaxaca ❤
I'm glad you are enjoying it. It's my favorite city, but I live about 2 hours away.
Oh Bellas Artes, the restaruant inside the house of tiles which is amazing.
thanks for all your mexico vids!
Been living in Polanco CDMX for the past 4 years. Met my wife here and we have 1 year old. My friends from the States don't visit they are missing out. If you can work remote move here.
I saw you ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, is oat milk pretty common in Mexico City?
