Solo travel is amazing. For me, it's the freedom to do what I want when I want. It actually makes me come out of my shell and meet new people I normally wouldn't approach if I was traveling with another person. Respect... 🙏

Known for its bohemian and laid-back atmosphere, Sayulita has gained popularity as a popular destination for surfers, artists, and travelers seeking a relaxed beach experience. The town offers a vibrant mix of colorful streets, local markets, and a variety of outdoor activities such as surfing, paddle boarding, and hiking. As a fellow Mexican American, raised in Nayarit, what's causing you the stomach discomfort is the mango, mango is delicious but if you eat it everyday it will give you the runs, but don't worry it's just the super high amounts of fiber it has , that's why you dont feel sick! If you ever need to stay in an Air B&B in Las Vegas let me know, keep having an wesome journey!

I was traveling coastal Mexico last year for several months and did a little motorcycle trip from where I was staying in Puerto Escondido to Sayulita, very beautiful. You definitely want to respect the ocean in MX, especially on Playa Zicatela in PE the waves can get BIG and the undertow gets nasty lol, I think you've been to PE before.
I'm heading for South East Asia soon but I gotta say Mexico has been pulling my heart strings, I had a blast over there.

I had to save a woman that just could not for the life of her get back up the beach, the waves kept dragging her down until she had zero energy and we had to intervene. She wasn't in great shape so she got exhausted FAST.
I've had sketchy moments at la punta and even Carrizalilllo where I'm being thrown and dragged around by currents/waves, you just gotta relax/go with the flow and wait for a window of opportunity.

PLEASE be careful....being a woman alone in Mexico it's not safe trust me I am a Mexican woman who fled because of safety concerns many years ago... Never Forget Where You Are... there's a lot of bad people in that country right now, the cartels are everywhere and ruling EVERY single state, they are the authoritie, they are the only governing Force there...
I know and understand how American and European girls grew up in countries where it is safe to be a a sweet young girl like you, going to places alone and trusting everybody, without even giving it a second thought and then you come to places in Latin America and try to live the life you had there, ...the difference is that in that country (like in many other corrupt Nations) There is no justice.
Trying to adapt to this new environment "To take it all in" without any concerns...Well sadly that is just a fantasy.... Foreigners and especially women are looked upon as a prey.
It's just so sad every time there's news about a foreign girl who's disappeared or worse because nobody told them, because nobody forewarned them of the danger...That is not a safe place especially Not right now.
Please don't be naive... and don't let your guard, down don't trust anybody

Great video, bit interesting and confirming that after your swim scene in Sayulita, you became sick. I have about 25 different friends that have gone to Sayulita in the last 2 years and EVERYONE is getting sick. It’s not the food, it’s the ocean. In December of 2021 Sayulita was ranked as top 3 most polluted beaches in all of Mexico. The 2019 supposed fix to the sewage problem was really just enlarging the pipe that sends the poop out 2km out to ocean. This alleviated the sewer pump trucks that would frequent the river pump house treatment plant several times a day to deal with overflow. I’m not sure how much longer the state can call this town “magical” as everyone I know is now getting sick here. The freeway is almost complete as well that will continue to compound the problem. The only thing at this point to get awareness is to write about it and make videos like this one that expose the problem. Instead your video is just adding to the problem of bribing more growth to a town in desperate need of a fix. As much as I love Sayulita and have been coming now for almost 20 years, the magic is lost is days of lost vacation nursing our health back. No thanks. 😢

Nice stuff in there, I’m vegetarian also and cool to see a foreign girl who is also making it in Nayarit, mexico. Just as what you got, careful with what you eat sometimes. Not all the stomachs can endure all kinds of Mexican food.

Thanks for the video!FYI, Over $5 USD for a small jar of peanut butter isn’t cheap. That’s what peanut butter costs at Whole Foods in the U.S.
You’ll find much better prices if you check out the Mercado outside the tourist area.

This town has been “converted” into another USA town due to so many tourists (who stayed longer?) now living there. I wonder if many of the foreigners living there are actually “legal” there and are paying taxes (like if they will be in their countries).

Hi Crosby - You never disappoint me with your videos. I got to say you look different. Yes, you're still very beautiful. But the smile on your face and your voice. You looked happy in the RV videos, but you are glowing in these. So glad to see you are truly that happy and enjoying life. What a beautiful city. How do you eat so much and look the way you do? The people at the Hostel you are staying at, are they travelers that can work on the road? Would be interested in knowing what they do as well. The beaches looked amazing and the markets seem so nice. Keep the yellow hat, nice choice & looks great. Saw a couple of Ariel views, is Dylan near by or are you flying? Definitely want to see the Pro's and Con's videos.

Thank you so much for watching and supporting! I'm so happy here. The people at my hostel are a mix of vacationers and remote workers, most doing contract/ consulting work for various companies. There are a few people working remote 9-5s for European-based companies too (they're always up the earliest!)
I fly the drone myself! Dylan is visiting soon and I'm super excited.

I dont think people are wondering "why in the world would you do that". hundreds of thousands of people have been moving to Mexico the last few years to find freedom from tyrannical governments in Canada, US and Europe. as for Sayulita, wait till you get into the summer and experience the humidity... you might not want to stay. I can remember when I was there for a month last Sept-Oct. there were a couple days that were so hot and humid that I was sweating while I was swimming in the ocean. after spending 5 months on the beach in the area between Puerto Vallarta and Lo de Marcos I opted to move inland to escape the humidity. now I would only go to the beach between January and March. for example, right now I am on a one month stay in Acapulco. in Sayulita I stayed on the north side of town on the edge of the jungle. if you walk all the way to where the rocks prevent you from walking any further on the beach there is a fresh water stream that runs out into the ocean (although maybe not now in the middle of dry season). I was really happy to see you eat the tacos al pastor after you showed what you bought for groceries. I was worried that you were a vegetarian.

is unfair that Mexico doesnt tax foreigners, because of that "finding freedom from tyrannical goverments", here everything is more expensive because you earn in dollars or euro, here people are struggling on finding flats with fair rents... So thanks.

    • @RedroomStudios
      @RedroomStudios Год назад

@@alejszandra people are struggling everywhere in the world to find a place they can afford to live. do you not realize about inflation driving prices out of reach for people in wealthy countries too? why should Mexico be immune? not to mention that Latin nations are sending millions of poor people into the US and Canada that drive down wages for the citizens of those countries. you need to get out of your selfish, entitled bubble and look at the bigger picture. at least it is warm in Mexico so people wont freeze to death if they dont have a place to live, unlike Canada. you are welcome to do the same as me. many Mexicans are moving to places like Columbia now where things are even cheaper. I am thinking of going there also because the exchange rate of the CAD$ vs the Mexican peso is getting terrible now. so no, things arent just perfect and easy for me either. I am retired and have to make sure I dont run out of money before I die.

I'm also vegan and based on the two videos I've watched of yours so far, I think you're vegetarian. I'd love to see a video about how you've navigated around MX while eating vegetarian. Was it easy at restaurants? I've found that towns with a lot of expats have a lot of vegan options, but you're visiting far more places than I am, so I'd love to hear your take!

Awesome video, just subscribed to your channel! I just got back after 2 months in Baja and I am already thinking of moving to Mexico. One thing I would suggest is to filter the water and cook most of your meals. A lot of the cheap taco stands don't keep the best hygienic standards in my experience.
