    So far I like the msi oled monitors. The coating makes colors pop

    I have both the AW3225QF and this LG. The main reason why I'm considering keeping this one over the AW is first its way easier to clean-not have to "deal" with micro scratches from gentle wiping- and 2, the deep OLED blacks-the whole reason to go OLED. Don't get me wrong the AW is no slouch. It's just that i'm sacrificing the deeper blacks and a screen that is so sensitive to any gentle wipe for what a slight increase in sharpness. Right now I'm typing this on the LG while I have this same video opened up on the AW right next to it and from a normal typing distance I cannot tell a difference in sharpness besides color-the AW does have a tad punchier colors to it. But I also kinda like the more lifelike color pallete on this panel. I'd say if you like the monitor get it and don't listen to the guys complaining about the grain. Ask them how those raised blacks doing lol

      Good point, slightly punchier colors don’t make up for the negatives of AW.

      I have both as well and am keeping both. Have them mounted side by side and prefer the LG for similar reasons I’ve seen a lot of reviews not too fond of the LG but once you mess with the settings I prefer it over the AW

    Been really interested to hear the difference from 240hz to 480hz. On competitive shooter games. Thanks for your thoughts!

    Great review! Seriously considering this to be my next monitor. Also considering upcoming ASUS 2k OLED, 480hz ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDP. I play competitive type FPS, but also want max quality and "prettiness". Thanks again.

    • @TechTicals
      @TechTicals  Месяц назад

      If you only play fps games then the upcoming 480hz 2k will be a better option.
      However this does a great job of giving you both a high res and high refresh experience, I know for myself that I need both so this is my choice.
      Glad I could help!

      Same - returned it same day. I also tried the AW3225QF and returned that.
      OLED monitors for PCs just do not get bright enough. I refuse to pay $1.4k for a subpar product.
      Also the matte finish is horrible as expected. The cherry on top would be 27” instead of 32”.

    At 6:49 you say there's no text color fringing, but you show on screen some of the worst color fringing on text we've seen in an OLED monitor to date. Other reviews mention how bad it as well. I hope OLED panel manufacturers can get this color fringing problem under control soon. I want to buy one so bad, but I know that problem would drive me absolutely nuts.

    • @bren.r
      @bren.r Месяц назад +1

      Not to mention these displays just do not get that bright. IPS displays on the other hand do put out enough brightness.
      I tried this LG monitor as well as the AW3225QF and returned both the same day they arrived.
      Oh and the stupid “Pixel Sound” built in speakers are hot garbage. Anyone spending $1.4k on a monitor definitely has dedicated stereo speakers that will blow it away.

      There is no color fringe at any normal viewing distance, only appears when you get the camera very close to the text which might not be the best representation of what you’ll actually experience.

    • @TechTicals
      @TechTicals  Месяц назад

      I don’t know if you actually have this monitor or not, but the sound quality is really good for any normal use, the brightness is also so high that i turn it down, if there was any issues i would mention them, I bought this with my own money and falsely advertising it doesn’t benefit me.
