Welding next to an open topped bin is never a good idea at any time, and like you say it looks like they're putting highly combustible things in there. The guy needs to find a new job because he's too stupid to be a welder that's for sure.

I'm always amazed at how many people swing on a rope over a lake or pond and don't know when to let go.

Otherwise, you are right. A lot of people let go when swinging back.

Chicken wire screwed to your steps will help you keep grip in icy conditions. We use it where I live because sub tropics plus shade equal moss with the same slippery properties.
I'm amazed how often people falling down their own steps are featured in these compilations, especially in icy/snowy conditions. As an Aussie not being used to it, if it were me I'd be in hob nail boots and clinging to the rail for dear life each and every time I stepped out there. No steps to get out of my house thank goodness.

@joe125ful my family salts our wooden stairs outside every year and we are in ontario we have been getting more hail and ice here than snow for the past 10 years so far salt has been effective enough to clear the ice if you have dogs sand is definitely a good idea its more pet friendly for that

The coating gets a coating of ice. But of course there's melting salts for that purpose.
