That is sooo cool Billy Jack. And one that ya Dad should be proud of, as Sunbury was like the first or second out door festival to be held in Australia, coming off the back of Americas Woodstock in 1969. :)
It was the best of the Sunbury festivals, all Australian artists. Before the promoters got greedy and imported O/S artists. Which in reality sent them broke.
Second that. I'm an 80s baby. But if I was born then, and lived in Victoria Australia, then id've been there with bells on. Really. As I would have absolutely loved to have seen Billy and the Aztecs in concert.
I was13 and an A** hole. My big Sis wanted to go but I arced up and acted like the A**hole I was at the time and she didn't make it - sorry Sis; I'll keep on trying to make it up.
If u ever get chance to read his books. Please do it. The best read ever. He had an amazing life.
Loved it, read twenty three years ago, I had suffered a Brain aneurysm just before, can total relate to his time in the mental hospital.
