Back in the mid 90s I managed a pub in Albury and got to sit down alone with Billy while he did his warm up. It was 25 or so minutes of the best guitar playing I had heard. Legend

"Its almost summer" is a classic, I have tried to learn it but the chord progression is tricky - especially the bridge.
A song Dylan would have been proud to of written . The lyrics are brilliant on this song...

wasn't played on acoustic when he did it live in rock form, which was most of the full on almost heavy rock version he did in later years

Troy you are a champ..Been trying to get this song right for so long..I do solo gigs using midi and haven't been brave enough or silly enough to perform this number in front of people..as I couldn't confidently do the licks and that second chord I thought was a G chord sounded off..Now that you've given me the missing links I get up there and feel like the great Billy Thorpe strumming that Les Paul Goldtop..

I did. The first three patches if you will are clean with a bit of a break up. I used the 'deluxe verb' and '59 bassguy'
