Trangia gourmet frying pan meets the Scottish midge

- Trangia sent me their Gourmet Frying Pan to try out, so I gats a nice steak, some mushrooms and a sauce and settles down for a decent bit of cooking and a nice feed.
The frying pan is a good bit of kit and did a good job on the steak and on my breakfast the next morning. The non-stick surfacing works exceptionally well.
The problems started near the end of the video when the countryside came alive with those most dangerous of creatures, the Mighty Scottish Midge. I have had to edit out some of the video as my language was a bit choice as I ran from the scène.
The midges were that bad that the family camped nearest to me, packed up and drove off down the road to a less active spot.

Yes the frying pan is a good bit of kit and I felt that I didn’t give it my best, dam midges.
The pan is more than suitable for general camping and I will be highlighting it in the future.

Only need to touch a steak once, to turn it. Keep fiddling with it takes all the heat out of the pan. Your steak though Mac you do it how you want pal. Looks lovely. Atb

Very good midge.
I have a trangia 27 /2, its very good. But tent to use a paella dish or skillet pan as they have 2 handles and a bit heavier than the trangia ones. They do the same job.
I have the gas burner to and kelly kettle, both are good depending what i am doing.😊
