Beautiful shot of a work train, that was a large assembly of equipment! I had to rewind just to see all that rail steel go by again. Awesome, Walter! Bob
This one was one of mine. You can see me wave to you. :-p. It was vary heavy. Did 6 MPH pulling out of Flovilla. Didn't really get rolling till the Plantation. We took those T&S machines to Stockbridge. The rail train was for Rome GA. But... We went on the law there at Stockbridge. It was raining cats and dogs and that little engine wouldn't pull away from Tunis. They had to get another motor out of Atlanta to finish the trip.
Walt, this was a nice change of trains for a change. I think there must have been a new Donut shop in town, with all those Police vehicles, it looked like there were the local Cops, County Cops, and perhap State Trooper's too.
I see these trains carrying rail pass by my house sometimes, even more frequently since they've just added a 3rd track..the system they use to move the ties around is even more interesting; it's like a train ON a train :) it's pretty interesting how all that rail bends with the track it's on isn't it?
Right, I know a couple of those Police Vehicles 1:28 Georgia State Police (White/Blue) 1:43 Unknown PD (I'm guessing the next town over, Black/White) 1:57 Jackson City PD? (Silver) 2:02 Butts County Sheriff's Dept (Dark green)
