    Watching this vid for a second time. The jig you built for the engine fascinates me. It reminds me of the Erector Sets we used to get at Christmas. It appears though that you build your frame from memory or your mind's eye assisted you in its construction. Super cool. I'd like to know more about your background. You still amaze me.

    Love the work you’re doing on the meat wagon. I had a 65 fresh out of service when I was much younger. Since I was still at my parents house and the cemetery was just over the fence of the back lot my mother had a throw down FIT. I had it parked sideways and spit shined when she arrive home from work. The cemetery prominently in the back ground it looked right at home. Not to be and no place to take it. Back then the only time anyone would view a hearse was when it was working. You were wierd beyond explanation if you owned a hearse for any purpose other than what it was brought into existence. I became unwierd and never owned one again after that 10 min. Motherly talk. 😂😂😂

    Man, I'd really try to fit the 2600lb bags on the front if you can find a way. I'm running 2500lb bags on the front of my 56 Buick and I have to have way more psi than I like running to get it to ride height. And I'm guessing the hearse weighs significantly more.
    Love the build though! Hope I end up with as much skill as you eventually!

    • @Theoldironworkshop
      @Theoldironworkshop  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I’m feeling the same way. I need to find something different I think. Once I get all the weight back in I’ll figure it out. I had the same 2500lb bags under my 51 mercury and wasn’t super happy with them. Ran 80psi. I put 2600 lb ones under my 50 merc ran about 40psi. Road a little soft.

      @erikleighton4952 9 месяцев назад

      What bags are those? Airlift dominators? I have been having great luck with the slam specialties bags. They don't bulge at all so it's easier to fit them in some places

    • @Theoldironworkshop
      @Theoldironworkshop  9 месяцев назад +1

      Their airlift. after spending some time yesterday, I was able to get the 2600 pound bags to work. Definitely gonna be much happier with the larger bags. Hoping to have this thing as a roller again this week. And thank you. Trust me I have no skills, just some experience and not enough common sense to talk myself out of things.

    • @Theoldironworkshop
      @Theoldironworkshop  9 месяцев назад

      Mine is a lightning table. They were I business for like 5 minutes. It’s 10 years old now. I use bob cad for programming and a hypertherm 65 amp plasma. It will cut 3/4, I would love to replace it with a fastcut table. It’s definitely worth having as it opens many doors. Personally a cnc plasma is more versatile than a band saw as you can put a router on it and do wood as well.

    Might have been better to have had a front end suspension fabricated but once we take that fork in the road might as well proceed forward. But you have the luxury of coming up with your own design and not having to go and modify a unit that is fabricated somewhere else. Granted with the technology we have it can come pretty close to fitting but there is always some adjustments to be made.🥸👍👍👍👍👍
