I think the chrome looks should have been maintained instead of painting em all white.
The white does take away from the style of the chrome.

@@johngrepo9976 Someone didn't want to spend the money to rechrome. Also, that flat white looks horrible.
Try and have everything rechromed in their budget and time frame... not happening
@Johnny B Netflix budget = unlimited. BTW to restore a car like that with rechroming would be around $50,000. Bumpers cost between $800 - $2000 to rechrome.

@@JamesTrewolla Miller Meteor is the coach company that made the vehicle. It’s based on a Caddy, but that’s the company who hand built it into a Coach/hearse.
@@esschuele6336 thanks but I have no need for a lesson. The comment was incomplete. It was basic Internet misinformation. I simply pointed out it was a Cadillac because some goof took the time to point out who turned a Cadillac into a hearse. Just like someone took a perfectly beautiful and rare hand built hearse and ruined it to promote a dumb TV show.
its S&S. Meteor had a window on the rear pillar, and based on the way they threw that floor together, its made to be an ornament, no way that makes it through any inspection or registration process. Salvage cars are rebuilt better

They should have black chromed the original chrome because the white takes away from the look. Would have looked so much better chrome or black chrome, even just black.

@Daniel Paulsness go open a custom shop and present cars with shitty chrome and see how long you stay open. They had less than 2 weeks and probably a tiny budget. No time to rechrome, and they definitely aren't going to take a car to an event that is crappy quality. Take that car to the show with the original Chrome, and that is all anyone is going to see. WCC definitely doesn't want that reputation

Don't...they ruin more cars than they fixed.... Or I should say "customize"... The cars come back with all kinds of electrical Gremlins that they cut and didn't repair the right way you'll be lucky that after having the car for more than 3 weeks before the paint starts to flake...

It is clear that they did not do a lot of research. Should have left it black, with pinstripes. Redo the chrome and then add little detail. But he is right that it should be simple. It looks like a billboard.

The white doesn’t look right on that car. Black chrome or even regular chrome would have looked better.

honest opinion....I don't know if I would consider any of the stuff West Coast Customs to be good.
most of the stuff they do is off shelf body kit and mags...lots of sound (which pretty much any car audio place can do).
If Chip Foose is a 10/10, then WCC is about a 5/10. As a structural designer I would rather not take a job on for one of my clients if I can't
do it properly the way it needs to be done...if you rush a design, the results speak for themselves. This was a rush job, and you can tell by the lack
of sheet metal work and paint...wrapping cars is cheap looking and using a 3Dprinter instead of fabrication is also kind of cheesy.

They had 9 days, what did you expect? WCC has never really been more than a wheels/tires, audio, and upholstery. They are barely even a paint shop. Fabrication has never been their thing. WCC = custimize your car. Foose = build a custom car...
Can’t compare a complete Restoration Shop to a Pimp your Ride Shop. West Coast Customs has always mainly worked with new vehicles and just upgraded them to a customers liking.
Jesus they destroyed that Hearse. I mean painting the chrome, what the hell. Sorry. Just super annoyed.

Another example of WCCs crappy work. Just redress a car. Don't give a fuck about the underpinnings. Do not restore. Just do something that will look good for a week. This is not caring for cars. it is destroying them.
