+HackaweekTV
Good to see it up and running! :)
Just started my '99 Yamaha R6 track bike yesterday. What a feeling to finaly have it running!
Still got some fuel issues tho, but working on it! First time working on carb bike :D
+HackaweekTV Heck friggin' yes!!
+HackaweekTV I just binge watched everything up to this point. Seeing there wasnt another episode I started getting very disappointed. Then I realized that this video is not nearly so old as the timeline of part one. LOL Cant wait for more and am subscribed!
+HackaweekTV just like a babys first cry
You know Dino, there's a lot of us out here smiling right now with you. WTG Dude,,,,
Carl
sweeeeet. today i fiberglassed my cafe seat mold and lubed all of my cables on my 1975 cb750f. your videos are awesome.
I just finished a "restoration" of a K3 and enjoyed following you doing yours. Thanks, Cliff.
I just started vintage road racing last year. I'm having the time of my life. I've acquired three 76-77 CB550's. My A bike, the one I campaigned last year, was partially built by someone else, and finished by my crew and me. I'm currently building a B bike to run the three hour Big Fish, Small Pond Race in Loudon New Hampshire. It's nice to see others taking a huge interest in the older bikes. Great video!
As a post-script, I'm using your fiberglassing techniques from the last bike to make custom rear seats for both bikes! Keep the videos coming!
ITS ALIVE!! I had goosebumps hearing that thing run!
sat up in my chair heart pumping right before your started it up. awesome
Screw automotive shows on tv, hackaweek is where its at man! Love these videos, I own a cb750F and these have really helped me out a lot. Keep up the great work man
Whenever I give in to the temptation to do whatever it takes to make an old bike run, I seem to lose much of my motivation to go back and finish things once I hear it run. I loved seeing yours run. A friend is trying to sell me a cb750 in almost the same shape you started with 2 years ago.
its absolutly fantastic. The sound of thise old bikes has no equal.
Fires my old 86 gsxr project from time to time just to enjoy the smell and sound from the good old days.
I've been following this build since day one. When I heard that motor kick and started running I felt like a seven-year-old Christmas. That bike is screaming out for a brand-new custom paint job. Great video.
I remember the time I was waiting for every episode to come out. What a great series !
But damn you torqued every bolt of that
exhaust good and tight 😅
Enjoyed the entire series. So much so, I'm watching parts more than once.
First up thanks for your time and videos. I copied your clutch tool and was most impressed as it works perfectly and was my first self made tool. I just spent 6 hrs on my 1978 arranging engine parts and cleaning. Have to start the list of parts but first i need to find out what i got and what not. I am sure I paid too much for a total basket case but again it is a hobby. And I am lucky as i did my first one 30 years ago, then in Germany now in Australia. And congrats to the running first start. Great feeling.
Moment of truth... Congratulations Dean, as the work paid off.
Feeling happy to see the engine fired up good. As I was following this project from the very start.
this I think was the most amusing video I've seen for a long time Dean!! -found myself smiling for half an hour!
-you really must be satisfied with this great moment when you're cranking it over, right!!?
the sound is great on this exhaust. . Great job, Sir!
there is nothing like the first time you fire up a car or bike you have rebuilt Congrats on that milestone Dean
Agh Dino, really stoked to hear the machine up and running. Great work. Really like watching your work. Inspirational!
Thanks for making this project available for the public. I know it was probably frustrating to shoot and edit the whole thing on top of actually fixing your bike. I for one am very appreciative, the info in your videos has saved me thousands. I can't wait to hear my CB700 roar back to life like this
Congrats on the runner, Dino!
I don't care how many times you do it, the first time you hear an engine that you rebuilt crank, it's a moment of pride that cannot be described to those who have not done it.
Fantastic job on the videos as always! Keep on hacking!
so exciting. a testament to your work firing up so quick . I have a 72 with 6000 miles I got with the original dealer title I'm going to be going through soon.
Congrats!! Great to see you back on the project and very pleasing to see you get it running for the first time. Look forward to the next steps.
That thing fired up better than you could of hoped for!! Awesome job! Look forward to the next instalment! 😄
I find your videos so encouraging for us that want to learn and work in "our first second hand bikes" lol. I love your explanations and the videos are amazing. Well done sir.
Waited this moment for over a year. Finally it came.
Just watched this whole series in two days and I need more!!! This is very good and informative. I am now subbed and look forward to seeing this through to completion.
that sounds awesome, and nice to see you back... can't wait to see more. I have a 1982 cb750f super sport, this is near and dear to my heart... keep up the good work.
Hi Dino,
There's nothing to compare with the feeling of putting an engine together and seeing it start on the first try! I'm not a motorcycle guy, but I can still appreciate a good mechanic (kind of rare nowadays)!
Awesome job Dino! Great editing as well. So cool to see this from box of parts to ignition. Great
Man I wish I had these videos to follow when I was building my 72 (K1). But I learned a lot by trial and error. Won't ever forget it now, that's for sure. Bike sounded really good!
Sir what an awesome build !!!!!!!!!!!!! been following careful, man you deserve a knighthood !..........just amazing. I had an 75 cb 750 back in the day.........Thanks so much and your attention to detail AWESOME !
Good to see you back on the bike again!
Great job Dino. I just rebuilt the top end on my 76 CB750. Your videos are great. Thanks.
Woot! I've been following this project for a while. I have a k4 and have learned a great deal from you. Think I will take on that oil leak now. Thanks for the tip about the seals! Congrats on getting it going (and on first crank!)
CONGRATS!!! SO COOL. I was almost as excited as you I bet. Super neat feeling when an engine kicks over immediately after working on it. Great job.
I've got a 78 cb750F I'm working on, can't wait for you to finish your build!
After watching may of these and seeing this come alive--- Damn All smiles.

Hi Dean HAW, Good job! Looks like it will be a runner, and lot's of fun. Nice when all the work pays off as the bike goes together. It fired right up, good sign. Take care, C.

Awesome! Good job, and you KNOW it's perfect all the way to the bottom end.
So happy for you dino, nice one!
Sounds bloody beautiful man.
Nice to finally hear the 750 mate. The video series has been very interesting
It's alive! That was better than Star Wars ep.7....
Looks good with that exhaust and no mini king & queen seat.
Finally! I've been waiting a few weeks for this video.
Nothing like the anticipatory anxiety before a first time start-up!
Thank you very much! I now want to do my own rebuild. Awesome series!
Awesome man, so good to see it running

Enjoyed all your videos on your rebuild of your Honda 750 4 Dino
Thanks 👍
Truly inspirational. Thanks, Dino.
Awesome! Love the sound and the look.
I've spent more time watching this project than anything else I've seen on youtube. So happy to see this baby run!! Thanks for doing what you are doing.
Also, I have a rusty old beam style torque wrench I could send you so you could take it apart and show us how it works. Would you be interested in it?
Keep on hackin' amigo. Great stuff!
Very very nicely done sir! And congratulations on the smooth start-up. Now you know you actually have a bike again, instead of a pile of parts :D
+HackaweekTV That's absolutely fantastic. All that hard work is definitely paying off. Sounds GREAT.
Congratulations!
I definitely would've put some anti-seize on those screws that hold the exhaust flanges... She's a beauty though! runs real good for a first start. Cant wait to see it riding down the road
+KiwiXT I can always pull them back out one at a time and apply a little anti-seize. In fact, I'll be pulling the exhaust back off so I can send out the flange clamps for rechroming.
Hi Dean,
My name is bruce from Melbourne Australia. i have a 76 Cb750 at the same stage as your bike...I'm so pumped to see it run!! Firstly could I get a bit more in-depth detail on how to wire up a temp battery and start my baby (Can give you an email if that helps) Also cant wait to see the wiring harness go on. This is the part of my bike i'm going to struggle with. Look forward to part31!!
Congrats on the bike! I use Marvel Mystery Oil in all my tape recorder restoration projects. It is a great cleaning oil!
great sounds! nice job!
Awesome! Congratulations, sounds good!
