Nice. I got an original '88 model in my parents garage (was red/chrome before I peeled the red bits off with a blunt butterknife to leave her in all her naked chrome glory....)that I bought off an old mate back in '92. It had a waaay too long toptube for 'back in the day', but it would fit in nicely with the bikes of nowadays. I'm not too sure about that clunky rear triangle with the super wide seatstays that culminate in a hefty plated trick platform though? Has the new model got the same geometry? Might be do-able? GT got away with a nice blend of the old and new on the Heritage Pro Performer models. The Haro's are all wrong for riding but look really 'pretty' for that hang on the wall nostalgia trip. Still, if it was good enough for Eddie Roman....
If you are going to ride it then trust me,you want the 990 mounts! Damn we couldn't wait for them to arrive as we kept on snapping the center bolt on all the caliper brakes like the nippons & the ACS Boas they were all shit for what we were doing! Anyway those were the days!
@@SpineSplitter1776 this is like the Hoffman condor 20th I invested £1300 in. Thinking new geometry better build quality limited edition. It was never ridden. Not loved. And a bitch to sell on......
@@ashleystyles6888 Oh well they were made to ride & not just to look at! If it's good enough for Mat Hoffman then it should be fine to ride, ya just got to choose the correct top tube length & it should ride great! Condors are built for Vert riding with extra room in the cockpit!
While I agree with the consensus here of everyone wanting an "old school frame". My cousin has an OG and I will say it's a flimsy frame..which was fine for the era but useless for today's street riders..so I welcome the dropouts...though I could dovwithout the 990 mounts as most modern riders don't use brakes and 990s are synonymous with mid school in my opinion.
Ordered one in chrome 30mins ago

Great channel. Absolutely love your content.

Would love either og or re issue.
If they released this as a unmolested 1985 frame I would be interested but U brake mounts? Knurling? I'll pass
