The shitty part about all of this is that all of the frames ARE SOLD OUT UNTIL 2025!! I was too late in finding out, and the 29" frames are all gone.. They're ALLLL gone..
Wow that's cheap❤
Ive ridden a Dirtbike classic, Next gen dirtbike, Kris Bennet, Josh Stricker , Atf, Hucker and now I ride a MOD. S&M hands down make the best bikes on the market currently. Next on on the list is a 22" Atf.
I rode a 1⅛ oversized S&M Holmes from 95-99. Slam bars. Pitchforks. Profile cranks with primo meat tenderizer pedals. Araya super 7x wheels and a GT padded seat. Redneck as well. Such a dope bike at the time.
Hello there I'm a 26 year old BMX rider from the UK I own a 2018 fit mac signature that is a homage to the S&M Holmes if you Google it you will see the frame name
I had 2 hutch racestars and a hutch raider when I was a kid. I had a friend who was the best bmx flatlander in my town and he had a hutch trickstar. He had a haro master before then and eventually got his hands on the trickstar. this was mid 90's when he got that bike. I had a crap load of bmx trick bikes back in the early to mid 90's. My favorite of all was my haro master. That thing was an amalgamation of a bunch of different parts. Had a hutch pentagram sprocket on it, dyno pretzel handlebars, dyno drainpipe seat post, redline rl20ii wheels, redline rl20ii 6 bolt stem, and haro forks. I traded a set of odyssey brakes for that master frame in 1995. I had it till 2012. I just bought a 24 inch haro master for $400 new. I didn't even know they made 24, 26 and 29 inch bikes till probably a week ago when I ordered mine. Just got it today. I plan on modifying it a bunch and making it look as close as possible as my old master. I assembled it today and me and my kid went riding all over the place today. felt like a kid today. was soooooooo excited at putting the bike together and riding it around. My kid says he wants to start to learn how to do tricks on his bike so been watching a bunch of old 80's videos of bmx riders doing tricks. started researching other brands doing cruiser bikes with their old bikes (that's how I stumbled on your video). I might buy a 26 hutch trickstar. wish they were making them in 24. My haro master that I got is perfect for me. My old 20 inch master I could ride it just fine (I'm 6'2", used to be 6'3" but lost an inch with age) and this 24 inch is like the perfect size. its not too big and not too small. I didn't want something that would be drastically different from my old bike. I think 26 would feel too much like a mountain bike. So ya, I hope hutch releases a 24 inch trickstar. If they did I'd be all over that.
Building one that was stolen years ago and returned to me a couple weeks ago finally!! Building it for my wife, flame paint purple accents. Love the midschool gt products!!
I can proudly say that I was born and raised there in OC! Still a beautiful state surrounding it IMO
Really, only 2 v break version's ever made? If I knew that when I bought my patriot I probably would have wanted it as I thought I was offered the choice between u and v. That's a bargain too as my db is worth much more than that in parts alone.
Looks like you got a great deal!
My first race bike was a 1985 norco starfire mini, tange aero classic.
Great video I’m 45 and had the blue and yellow burner. It’s one of my earliest memories walking to the bmx store with my dad and he often reminded me of my little face looking up at him as he said “you want that one don’t you” I lost him to sepsis in March 2019 and life hasn’t been the same since 💔
Thanks for your comment and for supporting the channel. Best wishes👍
I had a powerlite early 90s junior with them skinny ass tires. I rode it all over orange y bmx coal canyon and all over socal
Them crupi pedals fucked up my shins on my s&m challenger
I have a complete survivor mamba original decals and parts . Rare bike
I sold mine for a tenner when it looked like BMX in the UK had died. Stupid mistake!
General Hustler Pro
Wicked … sell it to me 😂
Please consider doing Cyclecraft.
makers of the best handlebars ever
My first set of Tuff IIs in 1981 had hubs with steel flanges. The rear was a freehub with a C-clip to hold the cog on.
nice. i had an army green powerlite p19 my dad bought me and we built up in the early 2000s. used it mainly for bmx and dirt jumping. awesome awesome bike!
3:42 why is your seat tilted upward?
looks good😎
front tilted up for comfort and to barspin without bars hitting seat
Power lite bars were the best with thw bend !!!
Until they broke because they were so thin! I broke like 2 sets of bars.
How much were Raleigh Burners in the 80's? I'd like to know how much more my dad would of have to pay to get me something more desirable (I was very grateful at the time and loved my Super Burner) just curious.
hi. i had a basic red burner, early 80s, and that was £80/£90. My friend had an ultra burner and that was about £130/£140. i think the chrome aero pro burner went for £250 or £280. i got a torker 280x mid 80s, and that cost £250. a friend of mine had an original chrome haro freestyler, and i think that was about £500 for a complete bike. 500 for a bmx in the 80s was quite a lot of money, which is why not everyone had a haro freestyler!
Had a Super Burner in the 80s, you could put a spirit level on the top tube and the bubble would be right in the centre
I believe they are all sold out already
Anything released by Hutch is quality and they stand by their product. Not a bad price at all. The aero speed cranks are 1100 by themselves
Had a chrome Trickstar frame with custom parts (GT stem and forks, Dyno bars and layback seat post, Peregrine 48's, Odyssey rotor) and I loved it. I sold it and still regret it to this day
Back in the ‘80’s I had a lavender one with white and lavender skyways, Vector bars and GT Forkstanders, hopefully they’ll do some more complete bikes but with color options, I’d like to see the original pegs on the forks and rear frame stands added back on too.
I had a blue trickster frame and fork , broke the frame but loved it while I had it.
I had the one inch 93 with the John Holmes ruler graphics. Had flawed 990 mounts. Cut the mounts off and put my Pitbull there bolted to the chainstay bridge. Loved that frame. It was a great dirt jumper back then. Good video.🍻
I had an 84 in futuristic black. It was a great bike.
great vid ,, thanks for sharing, i have subscibed as well, just a word.. i do own an originale HUTCH PRO STAR (Racing bmx), the remake trick star with modern geometry looks cool, BUT an intergale part of HUTCH was the bear trap pedals, they really slipped up,,,, that could have been done with new design keeping the spirit in mind of the original pedals , they are sooo cool, super expensive to find
I saved up and bought the 800 dollar pro star also. Was awesome. Great memories
Had an og trickstar in the late 90's. Bought used with GT parts and skyways. Kinda beater, got stolen before I could rebuild properly. Fun bike tho.
The street beat is awful. The Hoffman condor reissue I owned was horrible. And this is horrible. Why? Modern geometry. Avoid.
The price will keep me away
The old threaded forks and MX-1000 brakes are awful. Newer threadless forks are MUCH stronger, and 990 brakes work 10 times better than the old side pull brakes.
Agree the Street Beat is awful, the Skyway T/A is their masterpiece.
How much for just the frame set
only a complete as far as i know.
$799
The Trickstar looks pretty awesome
Used to be 4 lbs. 6 oz. For the true temper chromoly 20 inch. This one is probably heavier. The pro race was 3lbs. 11oz in the 80s
They will go down by 2025 when they sell little
Maybe, but 2300 is cheap compared to a full blown custom build, and original Trickstars go for a lot more, like double.. and you wouldn't want to ride it...
@@mikehagen3785 $2300 for a bmx bike is insane.
2300 ???
I’ll take one pleased!
only $2300, go get it.
Ordered!
Wow..im rem that rickman ad un bmx action bike in 84 or 85...also ther was anotherbritish brand at the time had ads in it...was rebel bikes with the confederate flag on them...man it was a class magazine..great memories...love the old school 80s content🤘
Class bike
Absolute beauties the pro burner and the 2 cromo burners👍
One of the absolute best mid-school BMX frames ever. Especially the oversized
I rode a Holmes from 95-99. Slam bars, pitchforks and a redneck.
I had a Holmes 24" cruiser, full custom race bike. It had 185 mm RaceFace cranks that were anodized red, for the North American bike show in Vegas...only one in the world in that color. Pulstar, straight spoke hubs, Sun rims, all of the nice stuff. It was stolen out of my car and it ended my adult racin career. I wish I could get my hands on the piece of shit who took it! Great channel btw. Subscriber number 350.
sounds like a nice bike, sorry to hear it got stolen. thanks for your support👍
The bars look like my old Powerlite freestyle bar.
i found out they are wethepeople "Everlast" bars.
If you order a Eddie King, 20 or a barbarian 26 a regular shafted, Bmx stem will not work. They actually do not make a Bmx stem for the bike. The headset is iso 30.0
that's odd. have you asked torker about it?
