Very helpful. FYI: I bought a new light switch without any attached wires, it turns out one may remove the old switch without cutting or using any wire nuts. The wires on the old switch were kept in place by metal copper tabs, with a small flat head screwdriver one may detach the old switch from the wires. All I had to do on the new light switch (same brand) was push the wires into the tabs. The brand of the light switch was K.T.E. (not all light switches may have removeable wires)
Stop guys, try this before you go to this extreme‼️ Your switch just may need some lubricant like a shot of WD40 ‼️ You don’t need to turn off the electricity or unplug anything. Just put that little red straw in the opening where the chain comes out and give it a couple of shots. 1-15-2023
What if the ceiling fan light is stuck in the off position? That makes it hard to determine which of the breakers on the breaker panel to shut off…. Unless… is all electricity in a single room always connected to the same breaker? In my case, the broken ceiling fan switch is in a bedroom (unlike yours, it can’t be unplugged). Will I definitely get electrocuted if I don’t turn off the correct breaker?
You’re a life saver! No other videos helped me out like this one. You helped me achieve my first wiring success!

Perfect! Finally found a video showing exact same connectors I have for my ceiling fan. Very helpful.
Thanks for the step by step!
Great video! Thank you!
Legendary tutorial!!
Good video..very helpful. What brand(s) of ceiling fan are the plug in model? Thanks
It was a Harbor Breeze Centreville fan. It doesn’t have a plug by default, it was modified by the installer to plug into the wall
Thank you!! I tried this with my light, and it worked.
Very helpful.. thankyou
Gracias amigo me sirvió mucho para saber si tenian alguna polaridad los cables y hacer el cambio en el mio. Saludos 🖖 desde Monterrey Mexico.
How long have you had this fan?
Awesome!

Tried that. It worked once, but now it's back to not working again. No amount of lubricant is working.
That worked.
That harbor breeze Centerville
Yes i believe that’s the model of the fan. I ended up replacing it completely a while back since the motor speeds started going out
@@treyfrogi have this fan to I thought about replacing my centreville. These centrevilles are spinning piles of junk and they move no air.

You just need to have a multimeter to see if the circuit is Hot.
Use a coat hanger to hold the light. I saw it on tiktok 😂
Use zip ties to hold the light up
It has a silver chain not a brass chain
