Very helpful! Quick question: With the adaptive cruise control, if you set the distance between the car in front of you at say 100 meters, and then a car in the next lane merges or cuts in front of you at say 50 meters - will the car brake too hard to the point that it is dangerous (e.g. you could get rear ended because the adaptive cruise control brakes too hard). Thanks in advance!
I hope you can respond to this I'm close to purchasing one myself, a 2020 Civic 1.5 Turbo, what's your overall review of the Honda Sensing system, the ACC and LKAS, are they easy to get used to and work perfectly? Do you have to use the gas pedal or is it one hundred percent automatic the acc?
John they're both easy to set up and easy to use. I find they work quite well. The only time you may struggle is an inclement weather. And let's be honest they're not really designed to be used in a thunderstorm, etc.
Damm used the adaptive cruise control for the first time yesterday (crv 2018) best option since A/C made driving in creeping traffic bearable. Not having the wife shreek at me while stamping the brake on the passenger side even better.
So for the adaptive cruise control setting. Once you set the speed and the distance. Does it automatically stay locked in? Or do you have to press the set button again once everything is configured?
What triggers the Lane Departure feature? I have a 2021 Cr-v and it pops up on my dash n I don't understand why. I also hate that it caused the steering wheel to somewhat shake. Any help or info on this is much appreciated
There is a button over on the dash to the left of the steering wheel that engages or disengages this features. It uses the camera in your windshield above your rear view mirror to pick and read the lines on the road.
My ACC keeps adapting the the speed of vehicles in the lane to my right. I keep being told this is a safety feature and that it is normal, but it does not seem right to me. When I am in the fast (left) lane, I should be able to have my ACC on and still pass people in the right lane; however, my vehicle slows down to the slower speed of the vehicle in the right lane, thus not allowing me to pass without tunring the ACC off. Can you comment?
I haven't run into this issue while using these features. It leads me to believe either the camera or radar needs to be adjusted. It sounds as though it is aimed off to the right side and picking up those vehicles more than it should.
I have hrv 2023 sport. My low speed control dont work.. (i guess) cause although im on cruise control and I press the low speed buttom, it dont display in the board.
You do not have to have adaptive cruise control on to use Lane keep assist. The two can run separate of each other. The only connection is to the button on the steering wheel that turns them on. From there you can set one, or the other, or both.
There is always a small group that tends to fight change. For those customers they continue to offer the regular cruise control setup. I think it helps to ease the transition for them...
@@JustinFullerReviews, Thank you. I just wondered if there might be a functional reason. I too use to resist change only to realize "Resistance is Futile".
@@davidk2137 adaptive cruise control is really classic cruise control, but upgraded. It still uses the basic functions of cruise control, but is adding in sensors and cameras to further its abilities. I think for that reason they also give you access to the classic cruise control. If it's available, why not offer it...
I missed something when you were pressing the speed control to shut off the auto breaking . Please go over this again slower and showing which button were pressed to shut off the safety sections.
Lane keep assist is dangerous! If it's preventing you from changing lanes, what happens if you need to swerve quickly to avoid an accident? I understand it won't let you change lanes unless you use your turn signal. You're not going to remember nor have time to use your turn signal in an emergency situation.
It doesn't work like that. You can still change lanes at your leisure. It's just a gentle bump you feel to the steering wheel if you hit the line, and it will straighten you up. It wont override anything that you do to the steering wheel regardless if you use a blinker or not. You can cross 3 lanes of traffic back and forth, the vehicle will let you do what you want.
Yea, that’s definitely NOT how lane assist works.. it’s just a slight tug that keeps you in the lane if you drive out of it.. but if you’re swerving to avoid an accident, you’ll be easily be able to change lanes
Thank you!! I had no ideal how to work it. Great video, straight to the point without a bunch of irrelevant babble 😃
great vid! always wondered what the “ufo car” button on the right thumb did 😂
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff in a short period.
Very nice descriptive video. Thanks

That's exactly what would happen I know this because it already happened to me when I see someone following me to close I will turn it off
Good question
When in ACC, the car will not slow down enough to mitigate or avoid a collision.
Thxxxx. Quick and effective.
Nice vid, my 2019 crv got totalled by hail bought the new 2020 model with the ACC nice feature addition.
Congrats on your new Honda!
I wish you were in NJ. I'd buy a car from you any day.
I appreciate that! If I move I will hit you up. LOL
thanks for the honda sensing tips, I just bought a new 2020 Honda Civic, will try those functions this week.
I hope you can respond to this

Thx for that I’m picking my crv black edition up in couple weeks
Thank you ..I bought civic and I want to know about how ACC works.
The lane centering feature will not work if you are driving under 45 MPH right?
the real question is... how well does this system work? I just drove a tesla with this and it was incredible.. does this compare?

You have that problem too?

@@JustinFullerReviews do you think it's a good feature to keep active? Ur personal opinion
Thank you for this
If you want to switch lanes, do you have to take lane assist off?
You do not.
just use your turn signal
Hi man, i have cr-v L7 as honda doesn’t provide any active cruise control on 7 sets but i wants to add on top is that possible?
How do you turn it back on once activated for regular cruise control?
Hi Justin. Can I turn off lane assist only? I want to use cruise and the car distance. Thx
Lane assist is controlled off the steering wheel. So if you simply don't press the button, it won't turn on...
I have crv 2022, after just 1 month with 1500mile I faced problem on adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assitant. How can I fix it
My white vehicle icon and the dotted icon doesn't appear anymore. No matter what I do I can't get it back. Any help appreciated
Is this a good car for nervous drivers?
Thanks 👍🏻

Yes

Thank you so much!
Can you use the lane assist feature without using the adaptive cruise control feature?
Yes you can, I do it on my Honda civic
Is that keep in lane assistance optional? Can it be switched off? It’s kind of dangerous in my view.
All of Honda Sensing safety features can be turned on and off.
Do you have to have on cruise control for lane keep assist to work ?

Mines stuck in cruise mode and i cant use acc… its weird

It's just a left right line ping pong not true lane tracking.
no it actually keeps you centered. test drive one, I suggest the accord with the 2.0👌
